Finishing the John Deere 2940 and Packing a Cylinder in Silence

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We finish up the power steering and fuel leaks on the John Deere 2940. I pack a forklift cylinder without yacking. And Max scares the crap out of me!

@@jadedrock1 Hey, Wes can add a whole new viewership this way! I wondered what was going on occasionally, but if you've ever seen guys from like Indonesia work on engines and such, they are generally quiet and on occasion add "English" subtitles. Silent works for many foreigners as English is currently the second language around the world and one can pause the video to look up an English word in the dictionary.

Silent fork lift repair? How in the world should I exactly know now what you are doing and learn additionally from it without your explanations? Your videos had been excellent with the "talking" respectively all the necessary explanations. That's definitely fundamental. If viewers don't want to hear that they could simply turn the volume down/off or use fast forward until explanations are over.

Because some just love to complain. Ever been on a tech forum where the arm chair know it all's have decided they run the show? It doesn't matter how fact and reality based your info is. They will find a way to claim it's all invalid even if it has absolutely nothing to do with refuting anything you have said about an actual technical subject.

One of the attributes we humans possess that separate us from other bipeds is the ability to talk. We can easily transfer huge amounts of very detailed information to each other and entertain with talk. Some are very good at it, some not so much. You are one of the BEST on KZread with a perfect balance of info and esoteric humor at a very comfortable pace and demeanor. Let the complainers make their own vids the way they want and let's see how successful they are. The numbers would tell but we know they won't even attempt. Your making this vid says you listen and attempt to please which makes your channel a conversation instead of a regular video. You keep making the vids and we'll all keep watching, even the complainers.

Hello from Ireland, enjoying your videos quite a bit here! Regarding the non commentary on the forklift fix, i was able to follow what was being done while only having a VERY basic understanding of mechanics involved, and a little guess work on my behalf as to whats happening on screen. I think id prefer the commentary as i enjoy hearing your take on things and the step by step detailing you do throughout your work, and your thought process behind it. Your diagrams and explanations of systems are very helpful to the average joe soap like myself without an in depth knowledge of the mechanics involved! Thank you for the videos, keep up the good work and looking forward to more videos in the future!

I need the talking/ explanations so I can learn. If there’s people that don’t like it, they can watch other stuff. You’re great at what you do, don’t change, keep it up!! Thank you!!

Yep. I'm working on fixing up a old International 300 Utility and half the hydraulics fitting are barely hand tight and the other half make up for it by being so over tight it takes a 24" wrench to break lose 1/2" hose fittings. That and apparently every hose that only needed to be 24" - 36" long had to have one at least 42' - 60"+ in its place and any hose that needed to be 40" - 76" long had to be made up of at lest 2 - 4 miss matched 18 - 36" pieces. Then to really make it all head scratcher. Any bolt that that anything pivoted on that was loose had to be welded (Baddly) in place rather than being replaced with a new one of the correct diameter and length.

@@kd5byb Oh it gets better! " When I had the new tires put on I had ~ 400 #'s of solution put in." BUT IT'S ALL IN ONE TIRE .......... W T F? HOW....... WHY!!!?????? Both tires were replaced at the same time. 😵😵😵😵🤯🤯🤯🤯 The previous owner had both rear tires set all the way and I needed them all the way in so I figured that the easiest way to move them was to just take them off the axles and switch them left for right. First tire assy was easy to take off and move around by hand. The second one needed a forklift to move. (same forklift holding up the tractor while both rear tires were off.) Beyond that, every lug nut and outer rim bolt was rusted solid in place (but still lose enough to not hold anything tight to what it was supposed to) and needed to be rethreaded to be usable enough to hold things in place until I can get to town tomorrow and get all new ones. That was not how I wanted to take 30 minute tire switch around and turn it into a 3+ hour hard labor job. 😋
