    Eric, thanks for the videos. I'm a disabled veteran, and it seems like my body is just deteriorating from all the meds I am on. I ran the weed eater for 5 minutes this week and my muscles are so sore I feel them at the slightest movement. I grew up on a farm, and I got it in my system, I can't drive my riding lawnmower without it causing a firestorm of aches. I really have enjoyed being your side. Kick. You are very generous. Thanks again. JD from Alabama.

    4240 is one of of the best John Deere's large farm I work for has one on the mixer for the past 15 years. It had 25,000 hours on and they had to rebuild the motor, it's now pushing 60,000 and only major break was a new injection pump this summer.

    We switched over to a10w-30 oil for colder weather and it makes it a ton easier to crank a diesel in cold weather. When it warms up the next oil change is back to the 15w-40 and we have no issues with wear on the engines. Just an FYI for you.

    That's not bad. When they started turning the engines sideways in the cars 250 transmission for the front wheel drive on the 87 Oldsmobile you had to take off part of the passenger side fender well to get to the filter.( "To position the transaxle".) I usually change what autocorrect puts in there but this time I thought it was hilarious what it thought I said.

  • @EFCasual

  • @larrygaarder8234

    @larrygaarder8234

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@EFCasual There is a small plug right under the filter housing that can be removed & put a small container under it so it will drain the oil from the filter before removal, but sometimes, when time doesn't allow, it is much faster to just let the oil run down the frame. Going to powerwash anyway.

    Those rotary nozzles are nice.... they remove a lot of material, very quickly. But remember.... that's basically zero degree tip. It's just moving in a circle. I've stripped a lot of labels (and paint) off of equipment with those. They'll also put water where you don't want it... inside seals, inside bearings, under o-rings.... Good call on the safety glasses.... gave me a chuckle. :)

The drift bar , place it vertical next to lug in cap n hold, claw of the hammer 🔨 behind other lug but horizontal as you can. Rotate. Now your smart enough to work out the rest 👍

    That's not old. It runs on diesel and has more than two Pistons, that you turned over by hand with a large heavy flywheel to start it, with a tricycle front end, and a hand clutch. Now that's old. Oh yeah, and across from the flywheel is a flat belt pulley to run the threshing machine, and grinding mill.
