I so enjoy makers' channels, but I really enjoy and appreciate the pace of the lime green sofa. There is no rush to complete a quilt or other project just to put a video out and show a quick run down of start to finished piece in a oner. I love that it has taken you 3 years to finish a quilt you've been sharing with us. Slow making at its finest. 💗

THANKyou so much for saying this! I see so many channels where speed is seen as a virtue - but the process of making anything is what is so pleasing! I love seeing how things come together and making slow decisions and changing my mind ... all of that. - I'm going to pin your comment if you don't mind because this is such an important point to make! xxxxx

@@thelasthomelyhouse I whole heartedly AGREE. The process is akin to any journey worthwhile. We will reach the destination, but it's the journey there that is the most interesting part, especially in projects as they unfold. That's what is do unique and special about your channel. Kate. Thank you, Anna and all your featured family for being YOU.

What a lovely relationship you two have together, mother-in-law daughter-in-law, not everyone has that, so special. I really enjoy listening to you two special ladies and today and can't wait to see how both quilts evolve.
I don’t quilt but I so very much enjoy watching and listening to your channel while I crochet .💕💕
Anna seems to be a one in a million daughter inlaw...you are so lucky !
Watching this on Mother’s Day in the US, and am feeling melancholy… Anna, enjoy this time with your mother-in-law Kate!! It was SUCH a special day when MY MIL and I had a “sew-in” day together! It meant so much for the two of us to enjoy a passion we shared while sharing the day with each other. Mom is gone now, and I look back at those times with love as I also now share this episode with both of you on such an appropriate day. ❤😌
6:53 the room with you both sewing ,all the colours from the fabric and curtains makes my heart happy. I have been sewing colorful hexagons outside today .
What a beautiful way to spend a day sewing/quilting with a loved one. Love your blocks!
It's so nice watching Anna's first quilt grow. All the stages and learning from this one quilt is amazing.
Lovely to see both of you again. A wonderful video of a sewing day. Marvellous. ❤
You two are blessed to have each other! And we all are blessed to have you both! Happy Mother’s Day😘
This video, with memories of your quilt exchange on mother's day is being shown in the US on our mother's day. Thank you.
I love watching you working together on your individual projects! I’m always inspired to try something new. Thank you!
I am presently taking care of my Mama, who will be 95 tomorrow. She has had a stroke and requires constant care. When she sleeps, I sew. I have discovered a MS tutorial on making chicken pin cushions. It has become my therapy!
Your my blissfull escape..thank you Kate & Anna….just love the relationship you both have xxx
How wonderful you are able to spend a day sewing with your daughter in law. You are a very lucky woman! I love the relationship you share.
As a coincidence I was just drinking from my lime green Fiestaware coffee mug! I have been on a hexagon spree. I went from not quilting in 20 years to doing 500 hexies towards 2 quilts in the last month, all thanks to you, Kate! 🎉

Happy Mother's Day, Kate! Loved watching you create your next quilts!
It’s nice having a QUILTING BUDDY ❤️
It is wonderful to have have someone to sew with and you both have a great relationship. Happy quilting ladies.
I have enjoyed sitting on the LGS watching all of these videos❣️ Such fun watching Anna learn from you, Kate & you are so gracious as you allow her to make her own decisions ❤ And 600 blocks for your “terry scrappy” one…amazing & both quilts will be fabulous 🥰 Can’t wait to get to that video…I’m late to the party, so binge watch a good bit 😉
How fun to see your pair of quilts materializing on the design board as you enjoy such a creative afternoon! Those are the best hours, aren't they? Anna, the colors on your quilt are turning out just so lovely. I can't wait to see it finished!
Dear Gandalf and Bilbao: Brilliant sewing day. Lovely to see you both. Great progress! 🥰
'We're in for a good day.' Only quilters think that when an iron is involved! But you are so right ❤
Thank you Anna and Kate. It was so much fun seeing the progress on your quilts. Kate 600 squares is phenomenal! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for letting me sit on the lime green sofa and knit on my blanket while you both sew on your quilt projects. Soft conversation, the sound of the machines and music make for a lovely interval this afternoon.

Wonderful to find you here on Sunday afternoon. It’s Mother’s Day here in the US. Anna’s quilt is going to be lovely. Kate, yours is gorgeous and bright! 💝💝💝
Really nice video! Lovely to see how much Anna has changed and grown with her confidence in quilt making over this last year or so.
Kate & Anna, What a joy it is to come along on your quilting journey!
Years ago I made a quilt for a school project... so there was a deadline, I tied it instead of quilting. After a couple of years of every day use, I noticed that the holes where the ties came through were getting large and I was worried about tearing the fabric. So I start quilting it on my lap (no frame, no hoop). The ties make for great basting. Think ties instead of safety pins. ... Now I tie every quilt instead of pin basting. As I quilt, in my own time, I still get to use the quilt and launder it as the ties hold everything together and I don't have to worry about pins falling out or rusting. My hardest decision is choosing a quilt pattern. First I quilted the boarder because it was loose and billowy, it bothered me whilst I slept. Then I quilted the pieced blocks... and finally it came to me to appliqué the solid blocks. There were a few tiny holes for daily use were I appliqued hearts over the holes. I think quilting helps the piecing hold together longer. 💖🌞🌵😷
I truly wish I had somone to share my love of my crafts with like you have Anna. It is lovely to watch the pair of you together.
I love that you and your daughter-in-law work so well together.
I absolutely love the relationship the two of you have! It’s delightful
It was so nice to see you and Anna today. Anna is such a lovely person and I enjoy watching you interact with one another! Thank you for sharing❤
HA! I KNEW Anna would get bitten by the Quilting Bug! Excellent! What a lovely afternoon you had together. It's fun to sew with someone else sometimes. That creative energy is contagious.

The two of you work so well together. Each so different, yet family.
So lovely to see you both this evening and I am really enjoying the progress of both your quilts. Love from across the border in Scotland 🏴
Yes! It's the ''always thinking of ways/ideas/designs'' that keeps us alive and fresh. My mind never stops creating fantastic ideas . . . yaaay! They don't always work, though! hahahahaha. x x x
Love watching you and Anna work together. Looking forward to your next video.
I love how you clipped in groups of ten. I also think you two have such a lovely bond. ❤
Both of your quilts are going to be beautiful. So nice that you have each other to share this passion with. 😁🤗
Anna's quilt will be so happy. LOVE the colors. Thanks for the pointer to Terry Rowland's channel, Kate. She has quite a variety of helpful information in addition to the scrap blocks.

I love how it's come about in a circle, with the different ones I enjoy suggesting and mentioning each other in their videos.

I love watching the two of you work together and how well you get along, and the exchange of knowledge and skills. I enjoy working with my children and grandchildren and learning from each other.
Two beautiful ladies and two beautiful quilts! I spent today Mother's Day with my two beautiful daughters. They bought me a small iron and a thick mat to go with it plus some flowers. Anna has definitely got the sewing bug now. How fun you two love to sew . And teaching the next generation to sew is what we need more of. Was just talking to a friend about how we need to pass these things on. Loved your video and can't wait to see the final layouts!
Both quilts look fantastic! For Anna just starting, looks so pro. Happy Mother’s day!

I’m way behind, and late to this party. A beautiful process here. I love to hear Kate say “tubes”….. sounds like Bilbo when explaining why the dwarves are not good to eat. 😅😅😅❤❤
Great job Anna! And of course always great for you Kate. You two are so fun to watch.

This is so exciting to watch Anna and you work together on this amazing quilt. Great way to have a cuppa on the lime green sofa with everyone.
I love how you two work together. Happy Mother’s Day!
What a wonderful way to spend a day, you’re both so lucky to have someone to work with even if you don’t talk much. Stopping to get opinions, cups of tea and snacks, I often get jealous watching you both. ☺️
Well done both! I have been so distracted by work that I haven’t been doing any quilting recently and I MUST get back to it ASAP. You are inspiring me to get my act together again and do something about the unfinished projects on the kitchen table!
Love watching you both, you have inspired me to make quilts for my family this Christmas
Love watching all your videos but especially the quilting ones! Thank you Kate and Anna!
Love your channel, recently discovered you and have learned so much. I have been quilting for about 45 years and still learning and find your wonderful suggestions. Love your part of England, from Vera on Britbox. I’ve been binge watching all your earlier shows. Thank you, love Anna & John
Lovely to share some time with you both!
Hurrah, hurrah! I have been watching these over and over, hoping for an update. I started making one of my own and am also math challenged. My blocks are coming out at 12 1/2"! Love all your shows Kate and talk about you a lot to anyone who will listen. Hugs to you both.
Hi girls. Oh excited to see how this is going. Sorry am behind, Our daughter was quickly and unexpectedly diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in April. It has been a busy whirllwind time. I love seeing you create together!
What a lovely posting for Mother's Day! It is fun seeing you two working together. (So many pink and green tubs--Kate, you must have made a bulk buy)
Love to see you working side by side. Used to do this with my mom and 2 sisters many years ago. Miss that sharing
Love watching you and Anna you have so much fun
Kate and Anna, it is so nice to see your smiles and cheery voices.
What a great idea for my wonder clips that are infrequently used. Ten scrappy blocks per clip!
This is my first time finding a video of yours. I enjoyed it so much. It is so peaceful and friendly. I’m a mother and grandmother and I quilt, knit, crochet, oil paint, with a little craft painting and home decor thrown in. I like finding others who are like me. I’ve thought about documenting my creative, if somewhat schizophrenic endeavors, but content creating is a skill all it’s own, a skill I don’t have, and I’d rather be making stuff! 😂 So thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your lovely relationship and sewing room and everything.
Oh you two make my heart happy 💕the way you work so calm, and caring about each other’s ideas it’s an inspiration Thankyou have fun x
I so admire this lovely relationship (and Kate's love for her late mother). My only child, a daughter, who I had at 41 years hasn't contacted me for 8 years, and I haven't actually seen her in person for 9 years. Very hard but I am fortunate to have wonderful pets, friends, home, garden, and hobbies. So enjoy Kate's videos. Thank you for sharing all your various interests with us!
Hopefully Kate was able to incorporate a few of Anna's scraps into the Terry blocks. 😊. Those blocks would always remind you both of these enjoyable afternoons together. ❤. Both quilts are coming along beautifully!!
Anna I'm loving your quilt! Fun watching someone making their first quilt. Kate I may have to make some of those blocks ❤
Love your quilting progress video. The two of you make such a great team; nice to have a sewing buddy! Love when you changed your blocks to make a diamond shape, Anna. What the two of you come up with for your final layouts will be beautiful! (Love your sewing area, Kate!)
