I have mourned when you mourned. You and Bonnie can have me laughing, nodding, and then I get choked up. But today, I am bawling and waving at you. You are so amazing! I am so proud of you. You have come so far and have overcome so much. Thank you for taking us along. Thank you for opening your door and letting us into your lovely home. I am so happy for you and all you accomplished. Norma here. Very nice to see the real you. You must finally feel comfortable and confident enough not to feel the need to hide behind a mask. That’s a major accomplishment. Yes, maintenance is so important. Hopefully you can conquer your aversion to maintaining areas that you’ve already decluttered. Why not put pretty little waste baskets around wherever you tend to drink your water and make garbage. Instead of tossing those things on the floor, toss them in the appropriate basket and empty them each evening before bed. Water bottles to the recycling bin and the trash to your main garbage can. Maybe clean off your tray once a day as you’re sitting by it. Only keep what you actually need in the cart. Just small suggestions so that you don’t end up with the same mess over and over again.

I felt quite emotional when you took your mask off. Hello! I hope that will be the last we see of it x Lifetime habits don't disappear overnight, but now you see what you're doing and doing something about it. Maintenance is constant but there are ways to help yourself. What about a plastic bag beside the couch so you can put the bottles straight in there to be taken out to the recycle bin when full? Much better than putting them on the floor and they end up under the couch. As for scrapbookng, the only thing I can suggest is putting things away after you have used them. Tidy as you go along. Easier said than done, I know. I'm proud of how far your journey has taken you from those early days, just keep going Mira!

Oh, Mira!!! What a beautiful smile!!! I am so happy you are feeling safe enough to share yourself fully!!! I have missed you!! Your livingroom looks amazing! Like you, I have to have certain things within arm's reach. I have a side table in front of my chair where my laptop lives and it has a shelf on it. I keep a box of tissues on the shelf, and I put a notepad and pen there as well. I have a small cart next to that table with meds, hair ties, journals and misc. I have a large dog food storage container on the other side on wheels and it has a flip top lid. Wheels on everything I say!!! I line it with kitchen size trash bags and I use this as a trash can. The locking lid keeps my cats out of the trash. 😸All that said, I still get Dr Pepper bottles all over. LOL One last thing- I live in apartment with an outside entrance and I keep one of the large cans next to my door so I don't have to carry my trash so far. I do roll it to the curb where the others for the building are on trash pickup day. Otherwise, my bags would pile up in my kitchen. My livingroom doesn't really resemble a livingroom, but it works for me. Please don't stay away so long!!! You are sunshine to a lot of us!!! ❤❤❤

Sue- Perhaps it would help you to put a large trash can in the living room so you have a place to put your used water bottles and other items so you don't get overwhelmed. There are magnetic vent covers which are flat for situations just like yours, Mira. You are so creative and could make a sign for your craft room that will help remind you" if you take it out, put it back", or some such slogan to help you get in the habit so you'll feel you can use the space! Keep up the good work and keep moving forward! 👍💪👏❤️

Small changes add up. Focus on not putting a water bottle on the floor. Put them next to the sink and daily move them to recycling. Once a day. A small change that would make a very big change based on the number of water bottles I see! You can do it.

Yeah🎉 We finally get to see you!! You are a beauty inside and out and I'm so happy you don't feel the need to hide anymore🎉 I have a suggestion..maybe put a small trash can (without a lid) right beside your bed or anywhere else that trash is gathering. Then you are able to just drop trash into the can as easily as tossing it. For the scrapbooking room just stop scrapbooking about 20 minutes before you get to tired..then you have time to put everything back up before you leave the craft room. I love the new curtains and throw!! It really brightens up the room, well that along with your smile!! Awesome job on your living room!! Woohoo!! You are doing great!!

Everything is looking so pretty! I love the curtains! I also love that you feel comfortable showing your face to us. Beautiful! I’m sure this suggestion has been made to you a billion times but I will suggest once more that you switch to a reusable water bottle. You spent so much time dealing with those darn Dasani bottles. I think a reusable one would simplify your life and make things so much easier. I finally made the switch about a year and a half ago and it has been a game changer. I have two Stanley type cups from Amazon that I switch between and the change has been great. Less to store, less to clean up, less to recycle. Altogether a huge improvement in quality of life from something that seemed like a very small change. I love your philosophy of taking your time and growing a little at a time. I see so much improvement you have made in the last 11 months! You should feel amazing about your progress!

If you haven't already you really should teach Colt a proper "Settle" command/cue. It was literally the easiest most helpful thing I've ever taught my dog. Completely free! You can use it at the vet, cafes, in the house, before walks, while making dinner, when guests come, all the things. Get a mat, a towel, or any other soft surface and feed him for calmly lying there. You will probably have to cue him to lay down at first then feed in position. As he starts to understand you start saying the word "settle" and he should plop into a down position automatically and settle on the mat. Eventually, it becomes more automatic and you can ask him to go settle with a chew or something when you are trying to edit videos. My dog knows that when I make dinner she should go on her settle mat and hope she gets some treats for calmly laying there while I go about my work instead of surfing the counters. She can settle at the vet because we bring her mat as well. Eventually, it becomes more generalized and you won't need a specific piece of fabric. Kikopup and many others have videos on KZread about how to capture calmness. Look up clicker training settle or stuff like that. I think it would change your life.

I call the area I sit in all the time my cockpit. It does tend to get cluttered with daily use items like tweezers, nail files, chapsticks etc. I have a little end table with 4 drawers so I can keep all of that along with lotions, pens, essential oils etc. But yes it still get cluttered and I need to clean it up every couple of days. An idea to solve the problem of stuff getting under your couch is maybe to get some of those thin zipper bags or boxes for storage. You could store a few things under that but mainly it would block things from getting underneath. For the craft room, I can understand how you would feel that way. Maybe have a deal with yourself that after each page you finish you reset the items ( paper, utensils, tapes etc )

Consider a very large trash can for the living room. That way after each water is drank you can toss it right away along with other items that you may want to toss.

Thank you for emptying your water bottles before recycling. Because plastic degrades so slowly, all the water will remain trapped in sealed bottles and out of the water cycle for 100s of years. Also, you have the right idea on using your living room... tidy, use, mess up, rinse, repeat. The same applies to the craft room. Use it, mess it up, tidy every couple of weeks. The tidying is self-limiting, so it hopefully, it doesn't become over-whelming. Also, I hesitate to suggest mental health treatment, but EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful tool in dealing with trauma. It can be done online or in person with a therapist, and is one of those things that can work very quickly, in 2-3 sessions, but you do have to identify and think about the trauma, which can be overwhelming. And happy to meet you, maskless Mira. You continue to blaze past all your anxiety and depression and keep growing and blossoming. Your community is so very grateful to be invited to walk with you on this journey. Also, the most darling lil' puppers!!!!

So brave of you to finally remove the mask! I'm proud of you. Love the new curtains! I think they allow a better flow of energy movement. So I have some suggestions. Put a trash can by where you sit. Stop drinking from water bottles. Drink from glasses. Better for your home and the environment. Implement a nightly 2 min hot spot tidy. You would be surprised the difference it makes. I work in mental health with people who have hoarding disorder. It's a process, and the fact that you keep going is absolutely amazing!!

I would consider placing a trash can next to the sofa as that is where the trash seems to pile up 🙂

The room looks SO nice at the end! I like that the cart can just roll to the side when not in use. The blankets, beds, curtains just make it extra cute. I bet the dogs are in Heaven with all of that space and beds plus lots of room to look out the window now. And I'm so happy that you decided to let the mask go! It's so much healthier for you, and all of us feel nice that you feel confident enough to let it go.

😮 I was very surprised you took your mask off!! So brave of you, congrats 👏. And the living room looks beautiful ❤. As for keeping it cleaner, my suggestion is every time you go to the kitchen you take some trash with you. I have to make myself do that too.
