That's cool that you went to school in the Empire State Building lol Very fun fact indeed🤗😊 Edit: Everybody watch the ads all the way through so she can get some of her money back for all she spent in this store🙌🏿😩😅
H-Mart will always be pricier than the average Asian grocery store. You can find most/all the items you bought in this video at Chinese or Vietnamese grocery stores cheaper. Including canned seitan!
I was JUST telling coworkers that SOMEONE needs to create a vegan “Korean corn dog”. 👏🏽
I love nattou! Have you tried it before? I feel like in general, for someone to like nattou (and not be Japanese) they need to: 1) not mind the slimy texture, and 2) have been vegetarian or vegan for a while. (Of course, exceptions apply). One thing I envy about Japan is how cheap they can get tofu, nattou, and soy beans. A pack of tofu (which is a bit smaller than the ones sold here) goes for around 0.20 to 0.50 US cents depending upon the quality. To me, nattou just tastes like soy beans, with a fermented aftertaste. Good to have over rice.

The ramen is really good... get the red bean pancakes next time, they are super delish!! They have a great fruit section as well 😊
Watch Mommytang's ramen videos. She showed Soon and one other which is a Kimchi flavored one.
Thanks for the update & good t'morning to you
I live in California and I have a place called beleaf burgers located in an Asian market that sells those vegan cheese corn dogs. I haven’t tried them yet but next time I go I plan on it because they look so delicious!

They are maybe 10 minutes from Munchies Dinner/ Naught Panda They have amazing vegan Chinese food! I spend way to much money there! Their sweet and sour pork and pad Thai is bomb! I think you’ll love it!! Their menu is massive! Just a suggestion if you head out here :)

I’m going there tomorrow, this was perfect timing. Thanks for giving me a list of what I need.😬
💪Appeal! Good for you.
Yes I shop at HMart, they have a frozen bag of vegan steaks (more like little meat loaves) six for $16!! So expensive, but really good. I'm going to look for those meatless sticks and dumplings you tried. Thanks for trying them on camera!
H-Mart is my household’s staple grocer. I got so excited when I saw the title!
Dang I haven’t been to H Mart in years - Im by the other one uptown, which I remember being cheaper but who knows these days?! I need to find those dumplings though 🤩 they look so good. Also “Headphones so people don’t talk to me on the train” 100% my first line of defense!! 😂
Oh my God thank you for this video so much 🥰 I can’t wait to go to Yonkers and get some
You went to the one that is by my office. I miss going to work (not the commute per se but the actual area). I love the options for food and for groceries by my job!
I'm hopefully going to New York with my girlfriend in September, I'm literally binge watching all your videos 😂 think we may be spending most of the trip eating! 😂
H Mart is one of my favorite places to shop! I like getting produce there because the prices are very reasonable. That noodle isle is overwhelming tho! I have to know what I want before I even look at it! Lol!
I LOOOOOVVVEEE Hmart. I have a shipment coming next week from them-just bought some awesome stainless steel bowls for my noodles. They had a five vegetable ramen that was sooo good, but also the Nongshim vegan ramen shown in your video is good(Amazon also has it). Yellow pickled radish is yummy, but I make my own.😁💞
If you like spice you need to try the Samyang fire noodles, would love to see you and Berto do the fire noodle challenge 😆

I love soon ramen!!! (green one, first picked up) It's a little spicy so I love to add plant milk (I use coconut) and a teaspoon or two brown sugar in it and it becomes an elevated umami experience lol. Enjoy!
The Soon Veggie Ramen is literally my absolute favorite!!
Just saw your video pop up as I’m eating the bun from your thumbnail 🤣
Yeah H Mart in the city is expensive but they have lots of interesting snacks and what you got looks good! I love Fei Long in sunset park.
"I have to leave I have to leave" is me every time I'm at H mart
Love that place! 🥰

The SOON ramen is good! They make a vegan kimchi instant ramen too and it’s even better.

There's mochi ice cream made from coconut milk, the tteokdokki chips are good, vitasoy black milk is good, vegan oyster sauce is good(it's from the brand Kee Lee Kum and made from shiitake mushrooms)
haha first time I (as a european) actually know most of these products. The vegan ramen is actually one of my go-tos and the topokki are great as well :)... also if you ever find it, check out ramen with potatoe noodles and vegan chapaghetti :)
Funny enough, I found canned seitan at my local whole foods 😂
That’s the best ramen on the market!! Even famous mukbangers who are not vegan say those are their fave!
That Soon Veggie Ramen slaps 🔥🔥 I buy mine off Amazon by the case. Don’t care to drive to our HMart
There are Boba pearls at Food Bazaar in Long Island City by 43rd St and Northern Blvd. They have a parking lot.
H Mart in NYC is super expensive, much better prices in NJ. I bike across the GWB to shop at the one in Fort Lee (~5-6x bigger than the Manhattan locations) but if you drive there the toll will negate all your savings... Maybe keep that in your back pocket in case you happen to be on that side of the Hudson? You have to go to a Chinese supermarket for canned seitan. It doesn't seem like seitan is very common in Korean cuisine. The ones in Sunset Park will have them, same in Elmhurst, Flushing or Manhattan. Pro tip for transporting leaky items: Save heavy food-grade zip-lock bags (e.g., Target's Good & Gather frozen fruit packaging) and always have a couple in your bag. Easy to wash and re-use because of the sturdy material. On that note, instead of buying garbage bags, try using your plastic food packaging, like chip bags or even ramen packets. When they're full, just fold the opening, secure it with a rubber band and toss into your building's trash bins (which are already lined with garbage bags!). I haven't used garbage bags in ~5 years. Saves money, gets one more use out of plastic packaging, and also makes you aware how much plastic we use. ✌️

Thank you been wanting to go to H Mart
Nongshim makes a few vegan options and we like them all here. We eat Shin (check the label there are two different ones), Soon and the kimchi one YUM! We shop at Hmart when close to one, sometimes Lotte. We don't live near any of the large chains right now, if I need/want something from there I order from Hmart and Asian mart online, lately.

@@Kari_naim I am not trying to be hard, just stating so it gives others options. Unless there's an issue with it being manufactured in those plants on the same equipment the ones I buy don't actually contain any animal products. It states vegan on the container. I have never seen shin black nor the kimchi or shin in the packages as vegan as of yet. I can only find the regular shin and the kimchi in the cups labeled this way. This link is for the kimchi one, but you can locate Vegan Shin as well on Amazon. smile.amazon.com/Nongshim-Kimchi-Cup-Ounce-Pack/dp/B074D1Q7QF/ref=bmx_2?pd_rd_w=3vgqT&pf_rd_p=b56a886c-2bb4-4e74-b4cf-23d7a76693c8&pf_rd_r=6QMPAK4R574GZ3P9B7JK&pd_rd_r=d03f7e9b-a46c-4f32-89eb-212f7b34c7f0&pd_rd_wg=39MEu&pd_rd_i=B074D1Q7QF&psc=1

super fun video!! (hope you get your money back as well :) ! )
I think you are supposed to pour that mango syrup over crushed / shaved ice.

My H-Mart in WA state has tons of vegan meats in the frozen section! and is definitely cheaper than that store lol
YES LYCHEE BOBA IS SO GOOD UGGGHHH!!!
I am really vibing with the kpop in the shop, I am trying to guess the song jajajaja

I love H-Mart!!
Great video Rebecca and i love Asia vegan food. I have to order online because there's no local branch of H Mart in my area of the UK but there's a local branch of a Scottish Asian Supermarket chain and i need to visit it because I haven't been recently. Because H Mart was expensive does that mean a reduced budget for the rest of the month?
There was so much to look through that you may have to split that shopping trip into 2 or 3 trips so you can fully look through and maybe find more goodies.
Yeah, I'm guessing that hmart is just more expensive because I don't remember the nenin flushing being that much. Next time get some fresh noodles. So delicious!!!

Hmart is the best place for exotic mushrooms like enoki, oyster, king oyster etc 🍄.
Next to the juice were oatly and coffee drinks!
Because I cannot read in another other language I use google translate app! With your camera I hover over a product to get a better idea what the ingredients are.
