oof! YES! I totally resonate with how tedious/annoying it is to have to do a colored sketch since you are almost doing the same work twice. Anyway, nice video! Fun to watch and listen to
Seeing your hand actually doing the art is much better than watching a digital screen capture. Feels more real. *Although your light is making your arm look yellow. If it's a tungsten light I would suggest putting a blue filter on it or/and adjusting the cameras white balance.
Funny enough I’ve been finding my style by looking at my previous work along with art made my other people and figuring out the similarities between the two (aka what elements do I intuitively gravitate towards) and I’ve been doing a lot of experimentation, doing a lot of sketches and trying it figure out where I want to go with my art style (because I’m. A bit lost right now). I think I’m starting to see a trend in my own art work and I’m working towards exploring that
I definitely think bouncing back and forth between digital and traditional is helping me find my style. I used to get super caught up in small details and smooth rendering with my digital work. But after spending some time drawing and painting traditionally, where there’s physical limits to how much abuse paper or canvas can take, my digital work feels more expressive.
We stan ✨ art style chats ✨ Or I'm again projecting on the art style crisis I'm going through. Yes, my whole personality revolves around my art style crisis. I start seeing some sort of style forming tho-
I don’t normally comment on KZread videos but your work is absolutely incredible and one of my biggest inspirations! I’m also really happy that the grunge/punk option won in the polls, since I was one of the people who suggested that! (The fact I have the exact same boots that you gave HaeJin makes it even better XD). I love your art and I’m so excited for Prism’s release
i absolutely LOVE the rendering
hi yana, ive been watching your videos for a while now and i cant express just how much of an inspiration you are too me. love your work:))
even after drawing for 30+ years my style is always changing and will prob keep changing as life goes on and i decide to focus different things and mediums.
Now that you mention it, I did get a sort of Leyendecker feeling from a series of prints you made many many years ago 😬 It suited your characters and style nicely
I love the two different recording styles you chose for this video! And this artwork is so gorgeous!
I've also been wanting to change the way I rendor stuff. I tend to gravitate to a more painterly style in digital but I feel I don't incorporate hard edge shadows that much. I don't want to completely get rid of the painterly style so it was nice to see you try it out in this video. I loved the way you used the lasso tool to get the hard edges. I'll definitely be trying that. I also love how you style your characters clothing. I'm not super into fashion so I find sometimes my character's outfits look boring or too simple.
Absolutely absolutely loved this video! Getting to see you paint your characters is such a treat, and the whole process of this video was a joy to watch! My art journey is going well, I'm currently just trying to hone in on my skills more!
Your art style is so amazing :) I really like how you draw and I was so happy to be part of the kickstarter to get a book from you for my 30th birthday :) it will be an amazing gift :)
Beautiful.💖

The hair shading oops. Like the squigly one..
Watching your videos has really helped me with digital art, so thank you for your wonderful and relaxing videos. I really enjoy these outfit design videos, your characters look so amazing. Hope you enjoy ur day ❤.
I really love this illustrations >_< their clothes are awesome!!!
I love your work!
Omg i loved this and the outfits were GOOD,
MUCH LOVE I LOOOVVEEEE YOUR ART❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing work
Trying different mediums helped me so much to further develop my style. I've started doing oilpaintings last year and since then also my other art has improved so much. Even though wenn I use ink or watercolour I heavily rely on the lineart, having the experience of working just with shapes gave me another perspective can use when doing lineart. (I hope it is understandable what i mean -.-) Also this painting turned out so beautiful
I'm so sorry I'm breathing your air 🛐
Hey there…..A regular and I appreciate you too 🤗💕
FIRE
Oh, I was hoping you would post smth about this illustration 💜 Also, I am pretty sure that if you play around with the Close Gap and Tolerance settings under the Enclose and fill tool you could get around the textured lineart problem OR the Lasso fill is also an option that looks similar with what you used in photoshop. If you want to go all extra, I know that a lot of artists use vector layers for their lineart bcus there are some tools that let you change the thickness of the lines or even the brush. I don’t have a lot of experience with those but it might be worth experimenting with 🤷♀️

That’s a good idea
Thanks!
I think seeing your hand inking the lines makes it more intimate but I’m also a artist and looking at your comments to see maybe I’m just the black sheep no pun intended lmao😂
Re WOW♥greetings from Colombia
Hey, I really enjoyed the illustration. I loved the hair rendering and I’m in awe by your line work. I have a question: are you okay with people doing fanart of your characters?
Another video tip guide watched and enjoyed! I have a curious question and I hope this doesn’t come off as a strange one to ask but for future posts, do you mind also sharing just the lineart of your illustrations by itself alongside your finished rendered versions? Don’t get me wrong, while I love your finished coloured work as well, I have always admired your lineart. Your line work is always so crisp and clean that sometimes I want to just look at the lines by itself alongside the coloured version because there is something to be admired about your linework too.
im buying grimoire noir right now :))
I'm terrible at commenting consistently, but I do watch every one of your videos! I wanted to say I LOVE your digital art and as odd as this sounds, I enjoy seeing your hand make it if that makes sense haha. I did notice this illustration was a bit different compared to your previous ones and now I know why! I do have a question though! If you had to estimate a time frame (because I know you work on various things at once) how long do you think an illustration like this would take you? Like from start to finish with nothing in between? Love your videos and art as always!
Hi I’m pre ordering your new art soon and I was wondering was the extra pages only for the kickstarter or you can still get them with the art book because I missed the kick stater because I didn’t have any money at the time ❤️❤️
Where can I read Gloaming Vale? I’m super intrigued by HaeJin ❤
what backgrounds do you use? whats the texture called? and where can i find them, i really like em
Pls, do traditional again I'm missing it🥺😔
Do you do colouring books
Shout out to the bots in the 📦
One question ….how long does it take you to record this specific drawing that you made in this video..? and also how long does it usually take you to edit this video …? I need a few tips in the right direction based on my own scheduling. I think I may be too slow and my job be working me 12-16 hours a day so I’m in need for a REALISTIC schedule .
Anyone knows the brush she's using for the Lineart (I can see its name on the screen but where can I find them)
I see the bots have found you. If you turn off links in the comment section, they should go away. I've been struggling with my art, mainly when I go to sketch, all the ideas I had just go away. I'll see the blank page and bam, nothing. I haven't thought of how I want my style to be, but it's still heavily influenced by anime, and I still want the influence there, but not as much as I have it now.
if a company releases a product u worked on are u allowed to mentioned you worked on it after?
