Great views and some pretty good snipes too🍻 I wanted to point out that I've seen gold like stuff fly around when you hand swipe the bedrock. (It gets brightest when the light hits it before it washes away and I've had this happen on some of your videos including this one) The shot where your son found his first "picker" in that hole, when you took the camera down for a closer look, on the way down to the left there was another picker stuck to the wall but the focus was on the smaller picker at the bottom of the hole. Just thought I'd point this out so you can review the cam footage when sticking it down a hole to give more clarity. Thank you once again for a fantastic upload mate. Cheers!

Hi Levi.....nice having a quick chat with you on Thursday morning on our way downstream. We managed a nice haul that day and again on Sunday (the better half found a 1.03g nuggy). You make it look easy to find but fact is it is pretty patchy and the conditions need to be just right for the gold to drop out. That section you sniped has been really good to us out of the water so we weren't really surprised there was an even better gold under it. I would love to find another spot just like it but no luck so far. You told us on Thursday you only get out maybe once a week so we had a laugh when we spotted you on Sunday and you were in TasD's video on Saturday in the rain. I think you might have the bug real bad.

Michael Bishop yes I do have the fever bad we started off in a different river on Sunday morning then down to you guys later my mate was keen for a go down there he managed a nice nugget just under a gram on the first straight. There’s plenty of good spots they hold the gold differently it’s taken me a while to learn but so far that has been the best I noticed you guys had done some work there behind. I recall you saying you were from Georgetown?? Seems I’m not the only one with the fever 👍🏼😉

@@officialtassieboysprospecting Yeah, we got it bad. Takes us nearly 3 hours to get there from GT. You are spot on with different ways the gold is trapped. Actually got just over 2 grams from a very hard packed, narrow and short crevice on hard bedrock on Sunday. It was in a very high flowing and turbulent section (and deeper than my snorkel). A lot of small flakes disappeared as soon as I uncovered them as the water flow was so fast. Great fun but. No doubt we'll be seeing you out and about. Not during winter though you mad bugger.

bruce johnson it’s a custom made snuffer bottle just a soda bottle with brass tubing my next video will possibly be a how to snipe with info on it keep an eye out for it 👍🏼 thx for watching

good job mate...i cant say the same for us though.....where i go has basically bugger all gold.....and i have to drive 3 hours to get their.....and im only able to get out their once a week most times.....its the closet place i got and we do a crap load of raking digging and breaking up bedrock.....for hours on end....and get rewarded with a piddly 0.10 gram nugget....once every 2 or 3 weeks....most times we go out here and get nothing...):..for the day.......such is my life.....i have nothing against you.....your doin great, keep it up (: ....its just that wherever your going has REAL GOOD GOLD....and even if it dosent....you get alot more than i do....so be great full that you have good creeks to go to.....the place i go to has mostly piddly bits of g...some locals have found big ounce nuggets.....but thats very far from usual.....the biggest nugget we got from this place was 3.80 grams....your probably thinking thats pretty good....and it is....but after that day most of the gold we got was around 0.50 grams...which isnt bad....(remember we got a piece of gold about every 2-3 or maybe 4 weeks)....that is bad.....but it took about a year till we found another decent nugget....a 1.74 gram specimen.......since then....we have been finding 0.4-0.20 gram nuggets....every few weeks....now were lookin for a good nugget again....as for you....i hope you keep finding plenty of yella....as for us.....i hope we do the same.....but this gold game...is almost like a curse....when you find the g its a big relief....the bigger the gold the better...but its emotional and physical pain, and drudgery if you dont find anything.....for us it is..anyway, im not saying you dont work for the g you get....im sure you do a lot and you deserve every bit of gold you get....but its just sickening the work you have to put into this sometimes, for little pay....especially when there are people going to the same fossicking area as you, but they are doing 50 % less work than you...and are getting 60 % more gold than you....what the hecks goin on their.....thats not right....but....thats life.....you keep doin what your doin....your getting good gold...stick with it....ya doin good vids too....very cool and good quality....i respect you..(:

Thanks mate. Was good to get back out there. Quad is definitely the go save the energy for prospecting.. but if I hadn’t seen tasy t do it I would of said it wasn’t possible, some of the track is crazy steep ledges.

I've often wondered WHY gold divers don't extend their snorkles to float above the water line and prevent loss of gold sniping because of lack of air. SAW THE SNORKLES IN HALF. Put a rubber hose to connect the two pieces of snorkles long enough to extend above the surface. (WHAT A TIME SAVER THAT WOULD BE).

Ben long I use a 7mm in winter 5mm summer dead of summer maybe get away with 3mm I’m the only person in rivers in winter in Tas that doesn’t use a drysuit from what I’ve seen
