Great video as always man. My 3 year old son and I went out today, he baited his own rod, casted out, fish bit, he set the hook and reeled in all by himself. He got a 4 lb flat head! I have more fun watching the kids catching.

You guys have one of the best, if not the best catfishin channels on KZread. 100% positive content. I like the way yall roll! I caught my first flathead in 2000 when I was a teenager. The Maumee River in northeast Ohio is my stomping grounds. No blue cats where I am, but tons of flatheads!

I never heard of burping a fish that was cool,good job.

Steve Douglas talks about it it a lot. Bringing them up real slow from deep water. Or burp them. If not they float and cant go back down.

If the flies are those damn buffalo gnats like we get every year, then you're best defense is to get some of those Vanillaroma car freshener clips and put one on the bill of your hat. It stays out of the way and you're not constantly using bug spray, the yellow trees are the same thing and work just as well. Keep up the great work like you always do buddy👊

Awsome spot i bank fish a lot at the mouth of otter creek. There’s also a ton of carp in that area too right at the bend!

Now I have burped a pile of fish but never had a way to do the smaller ones. The 30 plus ones I just use my hand but I've never seen PVC used on the small guys. I'll have to give that a try!! Good video guys!

Starting them young love it, start the addiction. Memories that will last a life time. I try to get my kids out with me as much as possible.

The blue one is a Ming yang cl60. They are a cheap reel but seem to be decent. They hold a lot of mono and have a ton of drag. I have 2 of them and so far so good.

I'm a fan of those hooks, but they are number two on my list. I have better hook ups with the 10/0 Mustad Demon Wide Gap Perfect Circles. Great video. I caught a 30 lb blue the other night that I'm pretty certain bit my float. He was hooked on top of his head, not too far back from the top lip.I figured he went for the float and got hooked in the process.

Thank you. It is a 1992 monarch 18.5 in length with a 66” bottom width. It has a 70hp Mercury and I only get about 30mph. Thank you for watching.

There are a lot of good catfish rods on the market. It basically comes down to preference. I prefer tangling with catfish rods but bnm, big cat fever,rippin lips,warrior cat, are all great rods and all in the same price range. Thank you for watching 👍

2 months ago I purchased the echomap 63cv plus (long name) and it is a beast! I love what Hagan uses but it is touch screen and I hate having nasty hands having to touch it for most functions. Either way they are excellent fish finder's

Is gold eye and white bass the same. I caught some white bass on our lake. Their eyes was bold.

No. A goldeye resembles a herring but is not in the same family. The bigger ones have some nasty teeth. There is a very similar fish called a mooneye that looks almost identical but doesn’t get as big. Thanks for watching 👍

Hagen Grubbs Fishing I am building a pontoon mss as only got cat fishing. I want to fish the Ohio river. I live at Morehead Ky. 1 hr from Cincinnati. Any ideals where I can go for big blues. And do you guide. Like to go with someone first rather then start not k bowing. I fish cave run lake for channels. Flatheads with the grandkids.

I fish a lake that is majorly affected by a thermocline. I’m planning on doing a video there soon. Believe it or not I prefer fishing it when the thermocline comes up to around 10ft. Thanks for watching 👍
