This is just a theory but maybe one of the reasons why she was able to overcome her psychosis was through meditative state, which she achieved through music. Look at her, you can clearly see her feeling every single note she plays, not just playing, she actually feels the music while she plays it. This is what a meditative state is, being present, being aware of how every single part of your body feels, being conscient of how your breathe, singing. Feeling the cords of the guitar, playing with the notes she sings. Very powerful stuff.

Confidence is a lot of the time confused with arrogance. It's okay for her to know that she's talented. For some reason the world finds something wrong with people knowing they have something special. Also, let's be honest if you had as much talent as her you would be blunt about it too. The real message is to find what makes you happy and allow that to drive you through life. Oh and I love her sooooo much she is amazing.

An old man sitting in his rocking chair doesn't only contemplate his demise, but also the life he lived. When we're young and filled with anxiety due to finding ways to immortalize our name, or leave some sort of legacy, we squirm at the idea of sitting down. But as we get older, we learn to wind down. Tash has addressed this, and has often expressed a desire to disappear. Goes to show that if we squander our time trying to find the answers to the most difficult questions, we won't ever uncover the simpler truths.

To anyone who has been where she has before it is easy to tell that 100% its not arrogance the way she talks, she talks from a person who has seen pain and has rose above it. Though that doesn't mean the battle is over so you have to remind yourself of the success you have achieved.

To be humble you have to have people telling you you're great. She's sure of herself now, but has been told throughout her life she wouldn't make it. That's why she talks like this, because she is proud to have shown them how wrong they were. At least I believe that to be a part of what's going on up there

Wow, hearing her talk makes me understand her music so much more deeply. Every addition to the loop seems to be telling a different story, but all of the different stories come together once they find their place and can allow space for the next layer. The final cohesion expresses such clarity that is, at first, hidden in the build-up, but makes perfect sense as the momentum grows

I was thinking this same exact thing. I always knew there was a story behind everything she played and that each sound was extremely intentional, but hearing her talk about her journey and hearing the way she described it helped me perceive it in a much clearer light. I heard her do that cool thing with two strings at 6:38 and it sounded EXACTLY like the one she does in the intro of Jungle and I thought that amidst all the layers that represent different parts of her story, that one sound is the sound of Tash emerging and finding herself. That's the sound of the level of comfort within herself she had reached once she healed through her playing. It just sounds like that. That's the voice of a soul that has found itself. At least that's how I see it.

She has so much courage in showing the depth of her pain with such integrity. I can see so much of her pain through her performance yet it is so uplifting. The best kind of irony. This gave me an insight...which is, if you are brave enough to show ppl the depth of your pain, it could be really healing for those who are also feeling the same depth of pain. Maybe this level of expression is what's actually normal. Most ppl were taught to be quiet, be still, dont talk and just listen to the teachers in school. Bullshit. Most of us are taught to have "manners" so that it wouldn't disturb other ppl's false "peace". Unnatural. So many ppl hide their raw emotions behind a poker face which actually lead to illness. It's time we turn this around. Raw emotion have healing powers. We gotta let it out. Thank you Tash!

LYRICS: I hear the birds When they're singing I hear the sirens when they're ringing But I can't take my mind off of you A thousand words, pouring out The distance of over there Is moving on and out You said it, you said it'd be alright How 'bout these notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah Tell your mother, she don't understand Tell your mother, she's not listening Why don't you tear my heart The chain is made of string I roll the dice You seal the deal That don't matter 'Cause this pain will heal I will follow you Into the dark How 'bout these notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah These notions Hmm, they're deep as ocean Calling out my name Screaming out in vain Singing hallelujah Singing hallelujah to you Calling out my name I'm in the deep end, ocean Calling out my name Singing hallelujah to you

I started playing guitar, and writing my own music at the age of 13. I sing to the sick & the dying, and to vets, not to mention on my own as a solo artist. I never covet another's gifts, because God has a plan for each of us. However, Tash, I'd love to have your skillz for just one day, one moment, so I could experience the joy of your performance!!!! I tripped-over your video on KZread, and have now shared it with all my friends and music buds. You're music is so soulful' and full of emotion and stories, both told and untold. Your voice is ethereal at times, and at other moments it can break walls. We all have inner and outer struggles, and I, just as you, find music to be my outlet. I hope that one day, if you're in my town, or nearby, I am able to afford to come and see you. Kudos from Wisconsin, and keep up the great work!! PS. Love your "Jungle" and others. The street stuff is my fav.
