How can it be said that a single dose of oral finasteride cannot get sexual side effects when a single dose will lower DHT by 65% in just 8 hours?

Hello Sir, great content! If I am taking finasteride since 5 year daily and also lifting weights. Since 5 6 months ( moderate upto 10 kg dumble chest press ,10 kg biceps and so on ) mostly I go overall in any exercise is 10 kg ) here taking finastride daily will prevent further hair loss due to gym workout?In short if one is on finasteride is it ok to lift weights without worrying about losing hair? Thank You in Advance! Also I have started taking 1.5 mg oral minoxidil! Are these two enough to exclude the damage that can come due to gym workout!! ?

This can be found out by trial and error. Most people will be able to contain their hair loss due to AA when on Finasteride while doing anaerobics. Oral Minoxidil is a valuable adjunct but needs to be taken under medical supervision. OM is best taken before bed time since it somewhat lowers blood pressure.

So you‘re advice is to push trough if feeling sides in the beginning-period like a lower libido?

My testosterone was 356 and DHT 896. 3 years later (used topical fin for 1 year and off since 1 year) today testosterone is 284 and DHT is 174. I have 0 libido since last 1 year and sexual issues . Testosterone is always higher when on Oral Finasteride than when not on the medication.

I am 21 with grade 6 baldness i tried everything to prevent hairloss now ,i can't afford hair transplant having mental breakdown and depression may god never do like this with anyone at such a young age 😢 . Feeling like giving up .

Can you not get on finasteride asap? May get some regrowth and save for transplant. Use the next few years concentrating on career. Get hair transplant later in 20s and you’ll have a decent head of hair and a decent career and the rest of your life ahead of ya 👍

That is not true.

I had lose the sensitivity on penis right after my first dose. I still took it for 3 years and currently taking 1 month break. I also have insomnia that also has negatively affected my libido so I might just be super sensitive to the med.

PFS isnt not only about sexual sides.

Sir, Can you give guidance on how long should we wait for finasteride to work before we switch to dutasteride Should finasteride be given at least 6-12 months before making the complete change to dutasteride regularly and switching off finasteride

Sir after undergoing weightloss i dont experience any side effects with finasteride , i faced nipple pain and other discomforts with finasteride and chest pain with minoxidil. I think these medicines has a lot to do with your personal health like thyroid levels and fatty liver , acidity or ulcer.

This is not a regimen I am confident that will work.

I wish I found your videos before I read all the crap on the internet! I took it for 7 weeks and I was terrified of ED…got ED. It got back to normal within 5 days and I’m sure it’s Nocebo effect. I have purchased a test and hormone blood test as you say everyone should and I’m doing it in the morning. If all good then I’m starting again next week 3x a week and build up from there if needed.

Hi doc, my test results came back as follows: - Oestradiol - 46pmol/l Test - 16.7nmol/l Free test - 0.312nmol/l Is this ok to start finasteride? Oh, I am 35 years old and I have an office job so barely any exercise although if start fin then I’ll do 30-45 mins a day. Thank you.

It depends upon how strong your genetics is. Will differ from person to person.

I take 1 dutasteride 0.5mg, 1 finasteride 1mg and apply topical finasteride 0.1% twice in every 10days. Topical minoxidil 5% about 7-8 times in 10 days. Hairfall is very less now. But whenever comb get to see many (4-6) very thin hair falling out. The density has not decreased whatever it was since the shedding phase stopped after minoxidil' 1st 4months.

Switch off for 2-3 weeks. One month possible for some. Only when you are taking the medication for hair loss . After hair transplant you may need to take it non-stop for 6-9 months

Not likely due to it. Wait for 4-6 weeks and then take a decision whether you would like o continue it or not. That is a personal decision.

Hey Doc I accidentaly have bitten my 1.25mg Proscar tablet on wednesday but I drank it with water anyway. Now I experience very mild sensation bellow my left nipple, like I hear water is going through pipe. Is this a concern? It doesn't hurt anything, just very little I feel like a water is running though pipe. Don't know how else I can explain this...
