It's up there. Hard to be objective, but I guess it's kinda undeniable how well Jari composes. Just imagine he wasn't a complete lunatic and would actually just finish his music.

Sons of Winter and Stars is superior. Time is great, but really repetitive. SOWS is a fucking journey

Not only is Kai the drummer with Nightwish - the base player here - Jukka - is now an official member. If you enjoyed this you should watch "sons of winter & stars" to see even more explosive drumming

@@monicacarolina6480 I wouldn't say that, he's not even allowed to do background vocals with Nightwish oddly, and he has a bigger vocal and stage presence playing with Wintersun. I think they just want him in Sami mode on stage for some reason.

Still waiting to hear Jukka sing vocals in Nightwish. I guess he is taking it safe at first - not an easy task to jump in a band like Nightwish and learn to perform all the songs from the grandmaster composer at the level expected from Nightwish - and to have some big boots to fill. Jukka also has quite a vocal coach as a band mate now.

Sons of winter and stars from this same set is one of the best musical experiences you will ever hear.

I absolutely love seeing people discover Wintersun for the first "Time" (Pun intended!!!), and react with such jaw-dropping surprise to all the different parts, melodies, and compositional layers (upon layers), that went into making this gorgeous masterpiece. For me the transitions with Jari's range from growls to clean vocals is just phenomenally flawless. And wonderful Kai, like a human Machine Gun! The stories their songs tell is just as amazing.. A true 'gallop off on a quest' across snow-swept wintery landscapes, this song has always filled my heart to bursting with love and pure enjoyment. One of the most beautifully epic songs you will hear in metal. I saw an interview where Kai Hahto was asked: - Now that in Nightwish, how come you don't do that incredible stuff you did on Wintersun? He laughed and answered: - You don't do things because you CAN, you do what serves the song. PLUS, the Bass player Jukka Koskinen is now official Nightwish member !!! 🤘😎🤘.

Yep, Kai now drummer for Nightwish, and Jukka now on bass replaced Marko. These guys are unbelievably talented.

I remember when you said you could not remember Kai's name during a Nightwish reaction and I said, the "Time" will come for WINTERSUN. In my opinion the greatest band ever that so many have never heard of. Thank you for helping to spread the word, they deserve to be heard.

I kinda had a feeling you might like it. 😅 Without reaction videos I don't know if I would've ever found them. Even in Finland you don't hear Wintersun on the radio and I'm lazy to discover new music by myself. For me this song is easily in my top3. So far you've only scratched the surface. There's still Amorphis, Battle Beast, Poets of the Fall, Sonata Arctica to discover, and that's just to name a few. Love what you're doing with your channel, I'd say that this might be my favorite reaction channel at yhe moment.

I found Wintersun through the Nightwish community. So epic! I also found Devin Townsend. Check out Deadhead Live at the Albert Hall. 🤘🤘 Sons of Winter and Stars from the same rehearsal studios is next on the list.

Jari, the singer/composer played all the instruments in a backtrack and his VOICE only having the other lung removed due to having TB.

Their music chews you, swallows, than spit out. And after that, You feel like the most happy and musically fulfilled person in the world. 😂

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this to you, but Jari (Vocalist, guitarist, and mastermind of Wintersun) is actually missing half of one of his lungs due to issues with TB. And he can still pull all of this off! The man is an absolute legend!

Funnily enough, I just thought earlier today that I may have to recommend Wintersun to you. But now I don't have to. 😄

A couple of years ago I went to see Wintersun supporting Epica. What a night!!! It was just as good as the night I went to see Epica supported by Eluveitie. Listen to Eluveitie's song Inis Mona to start yourself on the Eluveitie journey. Let's face it, who can resist a band that includes the usual stuf, plus penny whistles, bagpipes and a hurdy gurdy etc.

Metal is my favorite genre, but I listen to all types of music. I love 90's hiphop for instance. Love WuTang and Cypress Hill. As you get older your taste in music evolves. You're more open to other styles and less influenced by peers.

Using from their YT channel they are working on album Number 14 They do play in small venues in the USA I think they may have a small following there

Great Daniel, Wintersun is next to Nightwish my two favourite Finnish bands. In this You also see Jukka Koskinen on bass who now is a full member of Nightwish replacing Marko. Wintersun is still a project. Other Finnish bands worth checking is Tarot which is Marko's former band and Stratovarious.

Wintersun is awesome. Sadly Jari takes his time ( no pun intended) to put out new music. While we are waiting, check out Insomnium. Finnish band also. Very melodic death metal. They are one of the best in their genre ❤. Growls and clean vocals now, with Jani Liimatainen ( ex-Sonata Arctica) onboard. Highly recommended ❤️

Shadows Fall (USA) has the same (guitarist plays with Anthrax now) I could not listen for hours to screaming, but the mix of beauty and rawness in music is gorgious. Wolfheart is another Finnish band you might like.Kai, our human metronome, is killing it , as always :)

It's hard to put Wintersun into a genre. There are elements of symphonic, progressive, thrash, death, black, and power metal all combined. Jari is another Finnish musical priodigy, the only complaint about him people have is he takes too long to put out music, three albums in almost 20 years. And some accuse him of not delivering on promises with a crowd funded studio he built, but he has a lot of stuff in the works to be released "soon" apparently. His previous band Ensiferum is also worth checking out, stuff from their first two albums with Jari in the band.

@@shereengonzalez1911 one thing that has bothered me was that, watching so many videos from the Human Nature tour, not once have I seen anyone from Nightwish introduce Jukka to the fans as Marco used to do with Floor back in 2012 - I felt bad for him as he seemed so ignored on stage at times
