Man.. I’ll tell you why I subscribed to your channel. I am an Advanced engineer but always looking to learn. You simplify some very detailed techniques in a way that’s not that easy to explain. You’re very good at what you do and you teach incredibly well. Good job bro.

WTF's an "Advanced engineer?" 🤔 Yes he dumbs it down well to where even an infant can understand

Kinda new u where gunna come through, only way is up... Thank u☺️
This guy is a wizard 👍🏽
thankyou very much !!
Hey, good job, man. As someone who has struggled with sibilance, I appreciate this. I have done everything you mention, and I still have issues, to the point where I have gone in and manually turned down the esses. I do think many of today's condenser mic's are pretty sibilant for alot of vocalists. I am starting to use a ribbon mic for my voice, and my general impression, so far, is it seems to record a smoother version of my voice, with a noticeably better sibilant characteristic. Will know lot more soon.
Great video, thanks for help! :D
Special thanks and appreciation, please, please continue peace to you, brother from Sudan
Thank you soo much!
You are crazy man i love u to sharin' this it feels like u reveal secrets which was hidden from audience in old giant studios hah

only channel you need
2:34 when you used the mannerism of an Uncle. i knew you are 'bout to be very serious.
Genio!! muchas gracias por tus videos!!!
I usually just put on a preset for my de-esser, might need to watch this several times to break out of that habit
Thank you.
bro is a goat, got a tut for everything
I have always does subtractive EQ before compressing inside my vocal chain. I don't know if I was just lazy or ignorant -- de messing is literally subtractive EQ. Just spent the entire day working on some vocals, with the de esser as my FIRST plug in. Total game changer!!!
@tylerdengler6960
Жыл бұрын
De-easing acts like a subtractive EQ, but all it’s doing is compressing the constants of the vocal instead of attenuating the problematic frequencies.
Thank you
Let's go!!
That blue background is so calming… Mmmmmm
thank you
This guy knows his stuff very well
Sir,,,,, nice 1
Desser finally makes sense a lil long way to go but thanks for the tips
Wow gud job sir
thanks i like learn from you
ALWAYS DOPE
Game Changer!
Un DeEsser se puede usar para reducir la silbante, y también para reducir 'harshness" en el mid range de la voz ( o sea no las "s")
can u do a mixing and mastering tutorial on your song Honeymoon Phase 🔥🔥🔥
The 🐐.
Woah bro don't cancel me. Lol jokes, dope tutorial fam
Help Me Devvon 🔥🔥
Help me devvon! For real though i bought a vocal pre set from your site a month ago it hasn't worked and when i reach out to support i get no response im a big fan but its been a struggle hopeing you see this 👏
Dope
came here for the beard, stayed for the knowledge
🔥🔥🔥
Nice
@helpmedevvon could you do a review on the “Immerse Virtual Studio”? It’s suppose to bring selected professional engineers rooms to you through your headphones so you can have a better mix. They give a two week free trial! I also wanted your opinion on waves version but I see that you don’t use it 🤷🏾
Do all de esser plug ins do thr same thing ? Is one de esser better than the other? Which de esser would you always recomend
Should you set the deesser after setting all other plug ins on vocals? My vocals raw recorded don’t have much sharpness to worry about but when I add all my plugins and the DEesser I get a lot of that s sound
This was so helpful... GAHDAMN 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Plz make one only one video on manual tuning of R&B vocals line by line according to the song key so that every vocals sound in key without being robotic voice..
Hey Devvon! Do You apply Deesser before or after EQ-ing?Thanks!
Is the high end boost vocal an duplicate track for parallel compression?
question, if i pitch shift a vocal, that changes the frequency of the S's right?
