Finally dropping this video on the Nightfox Red HD for those who were wanting to see the device in action at night in darkness as well as with an external light and laser setup. Hey sorry for the late reply. So without giving any details, I can hint at a very strong likelihood of a new model being released from Nightfox soon. It’s also very likely I’ll have one in to the channel to review. The swift red and the aurora definitely have their pros and cons, so it’s hard to recommend one over the other depending on what your plans are. For the swift red I like the fact it’s got built in IR and also the mounting capabilities seems easier. The aurora I like the waterproof aspect and the more compact size.

Suggest sticky back hook and loop for adding/removing lens instead of double stick tape.

ahhh so glad you made the follow up. after watching the first video I thought "what about the wide angle lens on the red!?" and I got the answer to it. is the fish eye effect disorientating?

Does it go out of focus often and are you having to manually refocus it often? Wantting a pair to do night hikes with

I bought night fox red, unless the one I received is totally junk, I wish better luck for you. I'm sending mine back. I also have Creative Xp Glass Condor Pro. This night fox red cannot come close to what my condor does. Again, NOT EVEN CLOSE. I've seen the KZread videos on the night fox red, reason I bought one. But taking the night fox red out at night on my property, along with my Condor Pro to me, no comparison. I found the night fox red really disappointed me.

What’s the lag like with this device. Some reviews said there’s a noticeable lag and want to know your thoughts.

Hi Jon, I have not personally experienced any lag with either this device or with the Nightfox Swift. If I had to guess, it may have to do with temperature extremes for the other users? Maybe in extreme heat or cold it could have latency issues but mine displays real time as if you were looking through your cellphone recording something. The auto-brightness and dimming is the only really "issue" I have had.

When you turned on the light at the beginning of the video, is that light visible to animal on the other side of the goggles or just the person wearing the goggles? Is it basically a high-tech flashlight on your head?

Hi, no all of the light shown in this video is completely invisible to the naked eye. My dogs were in complete darkness and it's only visible through the night vision goggles. Definitely not just a big flashlight. At 2:56 you can see when I click the IR laser on and my dogs are looking for it but they can't actually see it. I hope that helps! Cheers!

Thanks Eve it’s just a budget digital night vision goggle device. Helps with seeing in the dark without others being able to see you. 🥷 #ninjamode lol

Got mine yesterday and cant seem to get them in focus…or how sharp can I expect the LCD screen to get? Also the screen text isn’t all that sharp is that my unit or is it what it is from this unit?? Anyone could chime in ..otherwise I might think my unit could be faulty??
