I had a few tears when your parents arrived and the girls followed their car with such joy. How wonderful for everyone to be together after all this time - and to bring the paintings. 🌞

What a wonderful Painter Your Grandmother was in her lifetime. That first abstract is perfect and would fit my collection perfectly. Also, Your home and grounds are beautiful.
Nana's paintings have the same colors and hues that Anna has used throughout the chateau. The paintings are so beautiful. I especially like the forest one--I feel as though I could just step into it and go adventuring.
The girls were so excited. Running to meet their grandparents brought childhood memories of my own grandparents visiting... ❤🇦🇺
You will be at 100K subscribers soon, I love these videos. Bravo Phillip and Anna! Anna your parents are wonderful. Your Nanna’s art was beautiful. Thank you for including us.
That tree abstract painting is beautiful! Mom is beautiful too. And dad, John, missed his calling. He has the perfect voice to be a narrator. Maybe that is what he does, if not, a new career....
How proud your parents must be. I can't imagine driving onto the grounds of my daughters chateau!
Philip is such a cool guy, he seems so loving, patient, and tender. Very well spoken.
LOL Philip cracks me up! A long list for your father in law because he knows more about gardening!
The paintings are just stunning! And what a sweet family you have . Typical grandparents. Just love it all
The art is so beautiful. Your Grandmother was so talented/ gifted .
John definitely needs a garden KZread channel!
It actually looks like you now the same way every time. When you start mowing at the year start of mowing season, mow one way and next time go backwards ( start at end go to start) from the way you mowed. If grass is always mowed same direction you get how your lawn looks now ( because grass blade actually starts to lean that way,). It's even better if you cross mow it every so often it keeps your grass look it best. It grows straight up and your not mowing ruts in your lawn. Especially in the rainy season. But love love love your channel. I would love to travel there and help with gardening. God bless you and yours

Excellent point. Growing up in the Midwest USA, mowing each week I rotated lawn mower 90 degrees. Makes lovely pattern. Phillip, improve mowing in a straight line along with a slight overlap of prior row thus avoiding missed blades of grass. Also benefits mulching cut grass. Once you've practiced a few times try mowing on the diagonal then circular. So enjoy seeing renovation of your chateau home.
The paintings are beautiful. Along the hedgerow, I believe the first vine is an evening nightshade, then small white flowering vine is Clamatis Autumnalis and they smell incredibly fragrant. They are an end of summer bloomer.
My favorite Sunday family!! Can't wait to meet the in-laws and get ideas on how to exploit my family 😉😉😉

My other favorite Sunday family (and occasionally Monday since things run over) is Renovation East. It's primarily a one-man show, but on occasion his husband and friends and family make an appearance to pitch in. Or at least provide dessert. ;)
Your Nana's art is beautiful! How wonderful to have it in your home.
I'm waiting to see the completion of your new kitchen...I love the humour on your program..I'm 74 years old I'm recovering from a stroke, and I've been home bound, for 3 months and I discovered your program late one night on utube, and I enjoying it, along with some other patriot restoration programs. I've contued to follow your work with excitement...your children are so sweet..and your husband makes me laugh, it's wonderful to find a program that is decent to watch, with clean humor...im rooting for you all..keep the faith...loveing it........
I’m not going to lie , the little girls running across the lawn screaming made me cry. I’m so happy for you all to be together . The paintings are wonderful, the kitchen one will be perfect in your new kitchen, and once framed the trees one should get pride of place in one of the salons . Lovely vlog Phillip thanks , and a morale boosting visit for all. ❤️cheers everyone ! 🍺

Why does everyone on KZread have to say they cry, whether it is over a dog, a nice cake, a new saddle, a birthday party, a renovated bedroom, a dress, a new roof, a chicken house, on and on and on. Honestly, do any of you really cry over these things? The little girls were so happy, so sweet, why on earth would that provoke tears! I just don’t believe the floods of tears being theoretically shed on KZread.

Well Kate since you chose to insert yourself into my comment to Anna & Phillip I’ve decided to respond. When the girls ran screaming in glee across the lawn it triggered memories that evoked a strong emotional reaction that caused me to well up. . I won’t bore you with the details because going by your comment you’re void of memories & emotions and clearly don’t have much going for you , I’m sorry for you , but shed no tears for you .

Such a personal vlog! The reunion and the words about your nanna really touched me.
Your grandmother's art is beautiful. So lucky to have your parents with you. Thank you for sharing!
Anna your talent and your Nana's, I'm in awe of both. Her ballerina art is just beautiful, now just curious if you remember what you were painting while Nana was painting you. The memories you and your family will have living and renovating a Chateau will be priceless.
What a lovely reunion. I loved your girls' reaction when their grandparents arrived.
So great to see you enjoying your lovely parents after so long. The paintings are gorgeous and such a wonderful family treasure. So nice to learn about your Nana. Enjoy the rest of your visit.
Very nice to see talent and culture in a family tree. You certainly look like your father.
What a talented family! The paintings are fabulous. Talk about putting the in laws to work. 😂😂😂😂😂
Nothing like a loving family! Cheers!
Thank you for producing your lovely vlog. I really enjoy your humorous touch. Anna's parents are absolutely lovely and it was fun to see her father joking with Phillip about his workload. Thank you for letting us share in such nice moments.
A beautiful vlog, but I just genuinely laughed for 5 minutes at Philip's straight face and delivery when he was talking about all the work he had planned for your Dad, Anna. Pure comedy gold 💕
How lucky you are to inherit such priceless paintings. ❤ your Nana was a very talented painter.
Hello, Your videos are always fun and interesting but this reunion with your parents and the children's excitement running along with their car on arrival was magic. I hope you will treat your mother and father to lunch at the beautiful Manor restaurant, the gardens and ponds are stunning. John is certainly working hard on the chateau grounds and what a terrific improvement he's made, fabulous indeed. Lovely parents and a heartwarming video. Thank you.
Love your family Anna, they are so down to earth. Your Nana’s paintings are so beautiful, you took after her with that incredible talent for the art.
Hello from Los Angeles California 😎I also loved seeing the girls and their little screams running across the lawn 🥰 thank you for sharing such humor and beauty with the rest of us 👏👏👏
A wonderful, feel good episode. Anna your parents are lovely and your grandmother clearly had a lot of influence on your choice of art as career and lifestyle. I have just become a grandma and I should be so lucky, to have a wonderful relationship with my granddaughter. Hope your visit is a long and memorable one.
😭 the family reunion, hugs and squeals really got me
Oh my goodness, the tears I shed watching your wee girls chasing the car, I'm crying just writing that! I'm so happy for you. The pandemic has been hard for us all. Enjoy every second. Hugs my young friends
Lovely parents! So sweet to see everyones joy in being reunited. Your Nan's artwork is beautiful! The forest pastel is stunning.
If you have trouble finding soft brown sugar where you are in France, if you have white granulated sugar (1cup) and molasses (1 tablespoon), you can make your own in a jiffy. Anyway, that is the ratio of sugar to molasses. If you want darker brown sugar, add more molasses. To keep it soft if you need to store it, put a slice of bread in the container.

Molasses is hard to find in most of Europe. In the UK its black trickle. Brown sugar is common in the Netherlands and other parts of Europe. It's easier to get a hold of via an EU webshop

Your Nana was a very talented lady love the painting of the trees with the hidden bird. The pictures of you was superb x I think Phillip your father in law should be putting in his bill for his wages for his work . Love to meet your parents ANNA must have been really good to see them in person for a long wait. Loved watching
Your Mum & Dad are such a lovely & good looking couple. And I love your Nana’s art, the trees one has a feel of Paul Nash to it.
I love the paintings created by your Nana! I'm in tears thinking of you having such beautiful artwork of yourself. What a special treasure. Fortunate girl.
I have never felt drawn to France until watching your channel. What an exquisitely beautiful country in which you live. I wish I could spend some time there. ❤️
Really enjoyed seeing a more mature Philip, your grandmother’s paintings are spectacular enjoy your beautiful family

What a special moment when you were reunited after so long apart. I think this pandemic has made us all treasure spending time with family even more. 💕🇦🇺
Anna I am so happy for you having your parents on Holiday with you I am sure they will spoil you your nana,s paintings are just beautiful your very lucky being left them wow what a gift Have a lovely timexx
I LOVE THIS SHOW PLEASE . CAN YOU MAKE IT AT LEAST 30 MINUTES??? BECAUSE IT'S OVER TO SOON !
Your parents are lovely and your Nana was awesomely talented!!! I just loved the squealing girls as your parents arrived. What a lovely welcome for them. I do hope they really enjoyed their time with you all.
What a lovely family gathering....so sweet. Your parents are so nice. It was good to see Phillip up to his tricks even though he would no doubt be trying to be on his best behaviour with his inlaws! I laughed when he said "this is so Normandy here, the cow bums in the background".....hilarious!
The paintings that your grandmother did are so beautiful. What a great addition to the history of the chateau! How wonderful for you and the girls to have your parents visiting. The girls were so excited to see them. Anna, has anyone told you that you and your dad share the same smile?
What a joyful reunion with your parents ! Your grandmother's paintings of you as a child are a treasure !
Your paintings are beautiful, and your parents are lovely.
What a lovely visit from your family. How do you keep the gravel so white, free of weeds, discoloration and in place on the driveway and all around the chateau? The view from the drone is stunning and pristine of the chateau.
The grandparents must be awesome, the girls are super-excited.
Your Nanas paintings are beautiful. I especially love the ballet one. Your parents seem delightful as well. You have an amazing family. I love the way you approach life with a sense of humor. Philip’s eyes always seem to be laughing.
Beautiful vlog.Quite emotional watching the arrival of your parents. Enjoy every moment together.
Wow, you can tell that Anna's parents live an active lifestyle; both are in fantastic shape. John cutting the grass and working in the front hedge- that's how I like to spend my summers too when I visit my family because I live in a small apartment in a crowded city during the rest of the year. Besides, I love the smell of fresh cut grass and working on my tan at the same time. Hope Anna's parents have a long and enjoyable visit. Wonderful video Philip.
Love your parents Anna. I can see where you get your talents from. Take care of them and enjoy them as much as possible. Mine are in heaven and I miss them. Your Momma is beautiful like you Anna. Love the place you both went to have lunch. Their land is sooo beautiful. You all take care and God bless.
You all have the greatest sense of humor about work. Love your family videos.
I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying watching. Anna, your Grandmother was an extremely talented artist, the paintings you showed were amazing.
Anna, I’m so happy for all of you to have your parents visit. They are so lovely just like you! I can’t imagine being separated from my children and grandchildren for so long as you have been. Enjoy every moment!💕💕💕
The first plant is a clematis as well. The tiny white flower is clematis ligusticifolia. The first one would be hard to identify without a flower, but it is a clematis of some kind.
Lovely family gathering! And that large painting is fabulous see where you got your creativity from Anna!!! 💙
So interesting the way plants differ from us here in the US. I’m so jealous of your hydrangeas! Oh my, I wish mine grew that lovely.
What a talented lady your Nana was. Did she make a living with her art? Thank you so much for showing us.
So happy you got to spend time with Anna's parents after so long!
The reunion between the girls and their grandparents was as precious as can be! The chateau is absolutely beautiful. Your hard work is paying off well.
I love the painting. It's beautiful. It could be re-interpreted as a stain glass window and be quite lovely.
I know I’m going to enjoy this even though I have to wait 9 hours! ❤️
I almost cried when I saw Anna’s parents. Haaay seeing family members this time of pandemic is heaven
Anna, how wonderful for you to have your parents with you all! My favorite part was when you all hugged. It brought memories of my sister and I hugging for the first time after a 3 year separation. We both cried, it felt so good to be able to hug again. If anything, this pandemic has taught us all the importance of human touch. Take care and continue to stay safe.
So special to finally get to see your parents. Your Nana’s painting are beautiful and you sure do get your talent from her. Enjoy 🇨🇦
This is so wonderful! And I am typing it 6 minutes in! LOVE that your parents could visit and bring some amazing family heirlooms
How great to have your parents visiting Anna! It's so hard for families all over the world who are separated because of the pandemic, even within their own countries. Your Grandmother's paintings are so beautiful, I think you definitely inherited her talents! Philipp, don't be such a slavedriver! Your lovely Father-in-law may not come back, and then you'd be in trouble! It's so good to see you all enjoying family time though. Have fun!
What a lovely reunion, so much so I teared up. Your nana was an incredibly talented painter. The ballerina painting is just gorgeous. It reminds me of a painting that hung in my grandmother's livingroom. Sadly I never had the chance to have it, but I have the memory.
It is so wonderful that your family has been able to reunite after so many months! I couldn’t help but tear up as your grandmother’s painting was being unveiled. Her work is so beautiful and it sounds as though little Miss Ella wants to give it a go too! 🐌🌻 🥖
So lovely seeing your parents arrive Anna. Your Dad did a great job in the garden too. Your Nana’s paintings are beautiful, can see where you get your talent from. Enjoy making new memories 💕🤗.

So much to enjoy in this episode. Nana's beautiful art, meeting your parents, the absolutely wonderful special restaurant, the hedge weeding and the oyster tasting. So delightful and entertaining. Thank you Anna, Philip and family 👪❤
So heart warming to see you receive your parents and these wonderful paintings.
Anna, your absolute joy when you saw your parents brought tears to my eyes! So happy for you.
Put cardboard down and top it up with peat on top and grow your plants in that, it supresses weeds, or put down black membrane peat or woodchip on top and grow plants through slits in the black membrane
Your Nan is so talented! I looove her art work! Her oniric world touched my soul! Thank you for sharing such treasures ! Bisous from Alsace 😍😍😘🤗😁
Your Nana’s art work is stunning very special to have them in the Chateau.
Your Grandmas work is beautiful.
Wow! What a talented artist your nana was I absolutely love the paintings, especially the abstract tree, such a special keepsake. How wonderful that your parents could finally visit again. I am still waiting in UK to be able to see my grandchildren in Singapore, been 2 years. Treasure your time together
My daughter and her husband have a five acre farm about an hour from town. Your parents driving up to your home reminded me of driving to my daughter's to retrieve fresh eggs. Upon my arrival I hear my grandchildren calling nana nana nana!
I bet those oysters are amazing being so close to the sea. I always go for fresh oysters whenever available. Lucky you! Your family is so lovely. Your grandmere was a very talented artist. How lovely that you have those pieces to display in your chateau.
How wonderful to have your parents with you all. Enjoy every moment. 💞 Loved the artwork too....good ol'Nan!
👏👏👏👍beautiful day with you lovely parents 👏👏👏
Wonderful smoky. Enjoy to see them working together.
“It tastes like I’ve had a mouthful of seawater”…mmm😬😂. Living in France I fear I would be forced to live on bread…there are worse fates. I do want to say, I love the paintings! The wood is my favorite-it should be prominently displayed for guests to enjoy I think. Well done Nana!
how nice to have such welcoming parents
Your nana was a fantastic Artist x the girls faces when they saw the car coming was a picture x
Oh Phillip! I know why Anna fell in love with you!! You have the most quirkiest sense of humour. I love watching you speak into the cameras 😅❤
Your Dad is correct, it's Sweet Autumn Clematis. Very fragrant. Wonderful for the bees!
