I have owned 2 boat access only cottages in my life and can tell any interested buyer that its almost incalculable how much value there is in the 'Blue' cottage simply via the enormous amount of sheer labor involved in the work these 2 have put in. And the fact that it is approaching 'turn key' is huge! "Time is money" - so is labor. Imagine the cost of hiring a contractor, that is if you could even find one to take on a job like that. Location Location Location right? LOL. I had a relative looking at residential lots once (early 2000's) in S. Carolina - she called me for my opinion as to why prices of nearly identical sized lots were 40k and 80k. I was stumped for a moment and then realized these were in a 'mountain' like sub. The 40k had very little view at the bottom of the incline- the 80k was up higher and had an expansive view of neighboring landscape. Now back to 'Blue' - view??? yes an incredible 360 degree panoramic . I inquired via email about this place a month ago and was very tempted to pull the trigger but things changed and is off the table for now . Who ever you are that does buy this place please know I will be rooting for you and terribly jealous all at once.

These are very astute observations that can only come from experience. 👏 It can be challenging for some who have never attempted something like this to understand the value of just how hard, inconvenient, & time consuming this kind of labor is in comparison to construction on land. And like you said, location is everything - a 1 acre lot on land with NO house in this area is more expensive than this brand new turn key home lol, so we feel the price is an absolute steal. Im so glad that the blue bungalow is done! Now you have time to sit back and relax b4 you tackle another renovation. It looked pretty with all the personal touches ya'll put in place. It adds to the charm of the house and makes it so much better in the long run. I deàly wish i could buy it but i have to learn to swim with only one leg. I lost it Dec 23

Thank you! 🩵💙 both our house and the blue bungalow are allowed to have up to 400sqft of open dock space. Our house is already maxed out, so we can’t add more. The blue bungalow did not have 400sqft, so we were able to add docks till we reached that limit! 😊

So cool to add a new floating flatform. I am surprised it comes with a ladder. How hard is it to climb up with air-filled steps? I am sure you have a buyer who wants to live there for a summer home. I love the overhaul home that you guys did. I am sure it will sell fast! I hope you get what you want for all the work you put into it. Now, enjoy skiing and surfing!

Thank you!! 🙏The ladder was a fun addition, I didn’t expect that either! I can see now why it is truly necessary though, that platform is over 2ft outta the water, I tried and could not get up on it for the life of me without the ladder! 😆 it’s super solid when fully inflated, kind of the same feeling as an inflatable paddleboard if you’ve ever been on one of those? so it’s pretty easy to use 🙌

Does your dock hardware mimic a lock-n-roll articulating trailer hitch?

You never notice just how many boats there are unless you're building a dock. I didn't realize y'all were on Fontana. That isn't far from where we rode bicycles on The Cherohala Challenge. That's a hot 115 mile day in the mountains.

gopro with floating hand grip is what I had in this video on the wakeboarding shots. I use the insta360 X3 for a lot of things too, it’s got WAY more features than gopro’s for the same price or less. mine currently has a scratch on the lens so I just haven’t been using it as much till I can get that replaced

Love the video but really wish y'all would be more careful about what you're letting get into the lake. Cutting PVC pipe and letting all that nano and micro plastic into the water doesn't seem kind to that beautiful lake.

Where is your spotter? Got a ticket up here in WA state for this is a violation.

In this state, legally it’s not necessary to have a spotter if the vessel has a rear view mirror.

what you spent to remodel it (ie. what these can be “done for”) is not what you sell it for… as there’s this lil thing called labor 😂 hundreds of hours of it. if you put that labor in yourself, sure, you can buy and renovate one of these for far less than 250. we did the surf shack for $50k total, again having done all the labor ourselves. but if you didn’t do the work and are just buying a brand new house, obviously you are going to have to spend the money to compensate whoever made it that way. you can’t expect to pay fixer upper price on a house that’s already been fixed up for you. 😆

The last data I saw on this was an article last year showing waterskiing was still the most common towed water sport in the U.S. Not sure about this year. Either way, that would indicate that yea, a LOT of folks waterski! Just not us 😊

Don't mean to be a "Karen"/ however, Don't you need a spotter, when towing a skier? (We are required in Michigan, to do so) & we have a lot of game wardens.
