What cute boats. Loved their parade at the end. Matt Roberts, the Half Pint boat captain and sign painter, said he also did boat signs for Darryl and Larry. Where’s the other Darryl and his boat? IYKYK.

What a great video Sarah. I loved touring all of the boats. It was so much fun seeing all of their tiny setups and the different choices they all made to suit their needs.

I drove by! The lake is beautiful. I'm on a road trip around the US seeing a lot of things for the first time and I couldn't help but make a stop after the Smoky Mountains to see the lake. Great spot! Hope you guys are having a fun weekend!

Wow I really love those Adventures Craft boats. Way to cool. It would have been really nice in Michigan when I lived there. We'd fish the Saginaw Bay, Lake Huron on a 25 ft pontoon. ❤

I had to laugh a little when I heard the comment about pulling the boat up the dragon. I pulled my 22 foot tritoon up the dragon to Fontana many times. The eyes of the bikers coming around the curves will blow your mind. It’s certainly not a fun pull!

We are huge Norris Lake fans (north of Knoxville). Lake Fontana looks very similar. It might be worth a visit! Do y'all get stalked by youtube fans daily? I love what y'all are doing! The floating house life seems awesome!

Fontana is similar to Norris in that it has the floating cabins! 🙌 also pretty different though with the lack of homes, restaurants, and development in general around the lake, plus very little boat traffic in comparison. Definitely worth a visit! 🥰 haha thank you so much!

My mom found them at a local antique shop 💙 the labels are mostly worn off the bottoms so I can’t really make out the brand very clearly, maybe Elama? Etama? something like that! 🙈

I didn’t even realize there were chicken of the woods on the west coast! awesome. I get the bugs out by soaking it in salted water for 30-60min, then rinsing. Then I chop it up and sauté it in butter and garlic with salt/pepper + old bay or chili powder, whichever I have on hand, till I see some browning and it tastes good haha. I usually err on the side of overcooking rather than undercooking if i’m not sure it’s done, since wild mushrooms can be harder to digest the cooking does some of the breakdown for you. Add to whatever you’d add chicken to & that’s it ☺️

Do snakes hang around those cabins on the water

Only place to stay ON the water is a floating cabin that’s on vrbo! there’s just 1. otherwise there are lots of lovely airbnb’s on land depending on your budget & how many folks you have with you around the general area of the lake 😌

PS. I have been living on the ocean for 51 yrs
