I’m 73 years old, I served for 20 years, and I’m watching this video while - probably along with millions of other Americans - in self-imposed Covid-19 isolation, and it makes me again realize that UNFAILINGLY: - We take care of our own - We honor and respect the sacrifices and services of our brothers and sisters, no matter when they served - Most critically, because we do these things, we can - and we shall - overcome adversities and triumph BZ to the Marines from Eighth and I who uphold and enhance this culture every day. And, PFC Edwards, welcome home and thank you for the freedom and the good life with which I have been blessed.

@jester: Thank you for your post, but honestly I only did my duty. I believe I did it well, but the real, everlasting, and deep appreciation goes to our comrades-in-arms who never returned home or whose physical and emotional wounds legitimately disabled them forever.

No Solider, Airman, Sailor, Marine Coastman or Spaceman is buried alone. We won't allow it to happen will stand in the pouring rain or snow whatever it takes to give them that final honor. His brothers carried his caskit and they stood till the end. Others will come and decorate there grave others will pass by and read there name as they stumble upon it. They'll never be forgotten.

There was a news story a while back about a WWII veteran who passed away in a nursing home and had no next of kin. Hundreds of people turned out for the memorial service. Military, civilians of all ages and description to pay their respects and thank him on behalf of a grateful nation and to remember him.

Strongishman does it matter if he was a Christian or a Heathen ? Valhalla is a place for warriors to gather, eat, drink and prepare for one final battle to save mankind, symbolic to all of us as one final rally point. For me it means more because I am not Christian.

these videos are hard for me to watch, I remember like yesterday the flagged draped coffin that my Daughter was in, coming off the airplane in 2015, I see this and I still have a hard time keeping the tears away... Semper Fi. my Brother... be sure to say hi to my Daughter, you Sister, in heaven...
