You know I really liked how they changed him from a guard to a prisoner was really good. And what I liked the most about this show is how every episode started with the countdown until his death. And yeah the redesign was great.

SPOILER FOR SEASON 2 He also was a guard in normal serie, as you see Nightfall's Gary is an Infinity Guard and Nightfall says that she tried so much to change his destiny. I think he was an Infinity Guard but Nightfall went back in the time and changed his destiny to be a prisoner so he was not going to die

I think the death is essential for Gary's character development.

I like how Gary and Avocato are now changed to become rogues of their own societies in the series (Gary jailed for wreaking havoc out of ruining essentially public military property, the once high-ranking warlord Avocato punished for refusing to "honour kill" his own son plus defecting fully after witnessing what his leader did to Gary)... This means that both of them would need something a lot more deep to form a sincere friendship between them, to which they have done so: it's now more built out of sharing some sort of rebellious spirit plus the eventual pursue of a universal good (as the Infinity Guard is revealed to be traitorous in ep5).

Came here after hearing that Final Space is canceled and I’m really upset that there’s not going to be a season 4, but I’m really glad we even got this show at all. This show really inspired me to create my own concept cartoon series as I like everyone one of us watch Gary going through space adventures, seeing Avocado’s backstory with Lord Commander and Little Cato, and so on. The show may be over but it’s legacy and influence and inspiration will always be in each part of us, small or not this show will always be in a part of us. Thank you Olan for creating this show, it really means to all of us watching.

This feels like a legit prequel to season 1 with him goin into a temporal worm sending him back to the alternative events of the beginning of the show

I'm so proud of how far this has come, and even though we might never get to see a proper ending, it's nice to come back here and remember the humble beginnings the show had. Thanks Olan for the ride, can't wait to see what brilliant things you do next!

The show still retained the same themes and key points in the show. Gary puts on the uniform to get a hot chick: Quinn. Avocato still dies. Mooncake is still used as a weapon for the Supreme Commander. Quinn goes back in time to save Gary instead of Gary going back in time to save Quinn. The Earth still gets destroyed. Quinn is still supposedly dead. Gary is in the prison field but not as a warden but as a prisoner. Cookies are still held at high regard. KVN's death still brings eternal joy.

So it went backwards when Gary goes back in time to save Quinn. But in the actual show it was actually Quinn instead of Gary going back in time. I just realized that since I'm watching final space now but I'm new to it so. Well I'm not new to sci-fi I always loved sci-fi since I was 8 but I'm new to final space and I'm actually into it really. I love Cyberpunk, Raypunk and all the other punks but the five I love the most in sci-fi genres is Steampunk, Raypunk, Atompunk, Cyberpunk, Biopunk. And final space got some Raypunk and a bit of Cyberpunk and Atompunk in there and I enjoy it.

This should be a part of the series though. It makes a lot more sense with it, than without it. Like, why was Gary so obsessed with Quinn? And why did he feel such a quick bond to mooncake and Avacado? Because he knew them from before he travelled back in time and has fragmented memories of knowing them. Why did he try to fly the ship, in the first episode? Because, he thought he knew how, from his past life, where he was in the fleet. It makes so much more sense after watching this. He feels connections to things, but doesn't remember why.

Dang! Thank you so much for these kind words everyone. I'm was and still am nervous that is finall out there in the world after six years of thinking about it constantly from the original Gary Space. I wanted to make a emotional charged cartoon with lots of heart and humor. I know the 7min is short but we stretched every ounce of the budget to the max. Studio Joho went above and beyond. this is a fantastic pilot but it would make a better last episode. it's kind of going to give us all an expectation of how the series or season will end. it seems like a show that I would watch on my fee time almost every day ( like most of your videos) and I can tell it's a lot of fun.

If anyone is still here just know im also trying to get as much final space content as i possibly can. The cancellation of final space is devastating and i will always have it in my heart. A good way i like to look at it is that season 3 IS the end. We just have to accept that our heroes lost. As brutal as it is that is the reality we now face. But in a way... it makes it even more special and emotional as I can't really name any other show that ends at a place quite as dark, as the whole universe being lost and submitted to darkness and despair. It would be like if avengers ended at infinity war and there was no endgame. It makes it so much friking more authentic and emotional. So in a way yes, I do and always will want more final space as much as they can make even. However, ending it where it did doesn't torment me anymore, as I can accept a dark and sad ending better than the fact it got cancelled at a cliffhanger. It wasnt a cliffhanger at all. It was final space telling us, "the cookies are done, Gary" I'll miss you, friend.

I can't believe this is the first time I've come across this. And I absolutely loved Final Space.

So glad they went with David Tennant for the Lord Commander

Man I just got into this show and I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!! been watching seasons 1-3 like a mad man and am praying that Netflix picks it up for another season and or to finish the series up We need closure, gary needs a win Hope you still check these man, I hope you see how many of us love what you created. Damn literally almost 6 years since this video? I remember when this shit was posted, I was so excited for it and wondered if there would be a show about, and then it did ... and Olan cried his eyeballs out and said they were excepted for show and was already granted to have several seasons before they even start, fucking love this show, sad it got cut short but honestly where it is now at the current end of season 3, I think some could see it as a certain type of ending So I will hope the show gets bought so that it may continue, It truly deserves it and I'll accept nothing less

I love that you were able to accomplish your dream of making this show!! It is truly inspirational! I've been watching the episodes on TBS! You must be so proud. It looks incredible, the attention to detail is great, I love the characters, and the pace of each episode is so quick and funny I'm laughing at ever corner. You are amazing and I can't wait to see not only the rest of the series but also what your creative, talented mind, will come up with next!

I feel so proud of olan. I have been following since the balloon shop days back in 2006 and it's nice to see has had made something of himself. Congrats friend.

I have to say, I like Quinn’s uniform a lit better in the pilot than in the actual show. They’re both great, I just really like the military beret

Considering the fact that the main show deals with multiverses. I believe that this is infact canon. On the side note, @OlanRogers if you are somehow reading this comment. I'm really crossing my fingers that somehow, The show will be saved. It's funny i started watching this show only after, a few months after its "plugs" was announced to be pulled, and i binged on it so hard, and I'm glad I was able to watched it on netflix. It's really an amazing show, and I can see you and your crew poured every minute ounce of your blood,sweat, tears, and soul into this. it's such a shame that it will end on the worst possible, intense downer cliffhanger. I refuse to believe that the series will end like this. And i want to believe there is hope for the future. That somehow someone out there *cough*netflix*cough* could somehow save this program. I want to know how it all ends. We all do.

Pretty impressed how they took the basic designes of the characters in the pilot and made them unique and likeable. With features that are softer on the eyes

This piolet was only 7 minutes long and I already feel attatched to the characters.
