Merci! Thanks Cesar for making a very good video out of the animated GIF I sent you ! nsm09.casimages.com/img/2022/05/02//22050206394514553317882759.gif You first responded there was not enough to make a posting out of it. (Hi Jean, It is not enough material for a whole video, but it was very interesting. Thank you !! :) My sincere apologies for the late response.) I was thinking of editing something, it would have ressembled parts 1 & 2 of this video. But you did it much better than I could have done it. My only snooker posting on YT: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2d3vLl7ZNCpks4.html Thanks for the continuous effort you put in your channel.

What do you guys think of the refereeing job being done here in moment 3? I think he did a poor job because he didnt move it to the right/up( in our perspective) according to Ronnie's request. And he seem to be looking for a row when he said" according to the picture, it's bang on." I think he didnt realize when he raised his voice, his tone made it seem like he was very impatient and he didnt wanna move the white anymore. It important for the ref to realize how the tone of the voice can have such an effect. That was why Ronnie said the ref was looking for trouble at some point. And his response to Ronnie after Ronnie came down to play but thought he couldnt see it made it worse: "But you agreed before." He could always change his mind even if he agreed. That was what frustrated Ronnie so much that he asked the ref if he wanted him to play another shot. Quite sarcastic for him to say that.

He specifically asked the referee if he's convinced that he can see the red. The referee gives a vague response saying "I've seen the situation". Should have been a simple yes or no.

The commentators + TV people can do that which makes it even more frustrating. Dunno why they don't cooperate, or get a tablet/software showing old vs. current ball positions that the ref could use.

The way Judd applies the left hand side on the shot at 33:27 looks like he does it with his backhand and makes the adjustment mid-stroke, very interesting! edit: on second thought it looks like he does a little movement on all his shots haha

Ref has final say and you have to play it where he spots it even if you not happy. asking the other player to mark it so you can complain after you miss it should be warned and frowned upon as the REF must like a judge in the court keep control over all the rules and fair play to both players and you can see in older matches where the Ref has said to PLAY and dont argue and the rules allow for penalties for this and that. you could ask the REF to see the white before you play it but after he puts it back, you cant say no, thats not where it was without a risk of penalty. ASK yes, but when the REF says thats where he thinks it should be thats it, you have to play....
