I am often reminded of just how good a snooker player Mister Mark Williams is.

I watched the last 2 sessions of this semi-final live, and was literally screaming at my screen. What a show. This match just exuded everything that makes this sport so beautiful and entertaining. I got major chills at that standing ovation before the decider. Hats off to both of these incredible players - match of the tournament, in my books.

My heart wanted Mark to win but my head said Trump. We are the winners either way. Treated to a great match.

It was horrible how the crowd were cheering more for him though. Disgusting to watch. Trump showed the crowd who they should have been supporting.

This match is the best that you can ever get to see. Even Ronnie would have watched this without blinking. Grateful to you Cesar for this upload🇮🇳

those were not lucky doubles (or "flukes") by Trump. Both of them were high risk shots but he aimed for the doubles and pulled them off. Other than that: There were some flukes in the match, but on both sides (I even think, Williams had one or two more than Trump, but might be wrong here). In the end, Trump and Williams were playing on absolute eye level, both of them worth winning the match, but there can only be one, and this time it was Trump.

Pitty, that Mark didn't win this match. If he won we would have been another clas of '92 final in Crucible in the last configuration (Ronnie - Higgins was in 2001, Higgins - Williams was in 2018) and first ranking final between Ronnie and Mark since... 2000 (maybe you will do a video about that final, what do you think Cesar? ).

Amazing match it would of been the best comeback ever in Semi Finals since Doherty vs Hunter. I wanted Williams to win, but in a way im glad Trump got through. Because Trump presented more of a challenge to Ronnie. I think Williams might of got blown away in final, Williams record vs Ronnie isn't good especially at world championships. But great World Championships the best one since Williams vs Higgins, I'm happy Ronnie finally got his 7th world title. But Trump really grew on me in this tournament, he was alot more likable I wish him well in future tournaments.

I personally think Mark would of presented more of a challenge than Judd to Ronnie but that is just my opinion.

@@isaacpowrie465 That's fair enough your entitled to your opinion, I just think Williams wouldn't of been able to produce the same performance as he did in the last 12 frames or so vs Trump. Also as I said Williams is like 0-5 vs Ronnie at World Championships isn't he ? He doesn't have a good record vs Ronnie, and Ronnie was just too consistent in this tournament, probably the most consistent hes been in years. Ronnie never really had a bad session in the whole tournament, expect for one vs Trump.

I feel like someone who doesn't know either player, or even the game, would still have a difficult time watching either of these men lose. It's tough to even say one lost. I know the number of winners equalled the number of people who witnessed this.

The only time I've seen Judd encouraged the crowd.

Two of the very best to have ever done it. Of course its gonna be a brilliant match. Mark Williams is the Kimi Räikkönnen of Snooker, and Judd Trump is probably the most talented Snooker player in history, who would probably be the best if he were more consistent. Even Hendry regularly states he plays shots that even Ronnie O'Sullivan can't play. This is as close to a battle of the titans as we can get short of making Hendry and O'Sullivan play against each other again.

Momentum and Feeling Are Massive In This Sport! Even The Great Ronnie Is Not Immune To It..I Know Some Of His Shots Looked Really Suspect😳

I was routing for Mark to win, partly because I really like Mark. Partly because I ultimately wanted Ronnie to reach title 7 and I thought Ronnie had a better chance against mark 😂 but Trump played incredibly well as did Mark and in the end Ronnie won anyway. I’ve never watched a semi final before when all 4 are greats of the game who I love to watch.

In 1998, the class of '92 and Doherty reached the semis; the following year, the three and Hendry met there. It happened again this year, 23 years later :)

Do you have the full match of this? Trying to find it. Staggering statistic from this match. Mark Williams equals Hendry’s record from 2002 of making the most centuries in a World Championship (16). Further to this, he didn’t even make the final. He was very, very unlucky to lose this match! Out of O’Sullivan, Higgins, Trump he was playing the best snooker through the tournament (the others are on record as saying this), equally as good as 2018 when he won it, arguably better and should have made the final. Thinking it will be the last time you will see Mark Williams in the one table set-up at The Crucible. His eyesight is rumoured to be going on the long potting now.

There are so many brilliant players around. Talk about Trump, yet what about Williams!! 😲
