I put them away about 12 years ago thinking I was to old for it (Im from the Chris Edwards, Arlo Eisenberg, Matt Salerno era) and I have been wanting to do it again, but I was afraid I would be typecast as out of place but your confidence is super contagious.... i'm about to be 38 and last week i decided to blade again after 20 years of no blades at all. Your vids are awesome and it really shows me that i need to take it with some patience, my skills will come back at some point but practice practice and more practice makes the difference, it's feel so good to be outside in the park again !!! btw, i'm using the SL Henderson and i like them a lot

Your ledge royals are perfect. But with that being said, you're using the same technique on the down ledge, making your backslide plate being the first thing that contacts - hence why you're slipping out. Some of the attempts you nailed it 100%, but didn't commit. Just my two cents. Great stuff as always man, your skating has improved a lot! And props on the new 50/50 wheel.

Arrived in Denver last night! Just missed ya! Looking forward to skate the new Broomfield pump track as well as the epic Apex Arvada skatepark.

Does the ramp in Denver appear in the faourite trick clips montage? pretty sure it does. all the best.

I still struggle with the royal. That's the one trick I've always had issues. It's also the one trick that stopped me skating way back in high school because I fell head first into the ground.

please tell me, I also have a foot of 285 mm, didn’t you feel that the foot was slipping in the boot. Does it feel that the shell is larger? is there any discomfort that the boot is much larger than liner?

The SL is a 10/11 shell break, so there’s more room for sure. I think the liners are what matter most. The reign didn’t slip

No idea if it’s the skates, but you’ve been looking a lot more comfortable in the last few videos with the SLs (Royale troubles notwithstanding). Are you feeling like there’s something to that setup that’s working particularly well for you, or is it more practice making it feel/look more effortless?

Tough to say. I want to skate my VII again and see if there’s a pattern. I’m feeling really confident though, that’s for sure.
