Literally one of the best endings for a movie. It's not about the man saving the woman, she saves him and he carries her off to a new life.

Both saved each other. She saved him from his childhood trauma about his mother's suicide and not wanting to open up to people because of it, and he saved her from her fear of being abandoned like when her father abandoned her mother after she got pregnant. They were both broken people with fear of commitment, Paula just didn't hide her feelings for him, while Zack was afraid she'd end up like his mother and his friend so it took longer with him.

my girlfriend knew I wanted to marry her but she was afraid so she "ran away", then 3 months later she called me and said to come and get her. I drove 950 miles over 17 hours and we got married in Vegas on our way back to California. Watching this always gives me the same feeling I had when I saw her again. the best ending to a movie and I didn't even see it coming.

WAIT A MINUTE, this goes against the entire feminist movement... She had a great career in that paper mill... and gives it all up for the love of a man...... COME ON.

If you had ever worked in a mill, you would know how stupid your statement was. You get paid by quota and all bonus pay depends on the amount of material you process. The pay and the bonuses are comparable to waitress pay. I worked in a clothing factory. Been there...done that. Never again. Screw the feminist movement. It never made it out of D.C. or New York.
