Everyone out here blaming the refs but it was actually the announcers who messed up. Both the out of bounds and over and back calls were correct. Even though Diarra tipped it, it was clear the Oakland guy's hand was still on the ball afterwards. The over and back was correct as well because Oakland didn't have possession. Either way, it was a great game, and best of the tournament so far!

You’re forgetting about a few other calls there buddy. Oakland thought they should get every call their way. Really what happened is the refs started calling the game completely different in the final 2 minutes and seemingly favored Oakland greatly due to their smaller size, those ticky tacky calls always go against the bigger team. Refs need to stop calling the game inconsistent throughout the course of the game including the very end. How is a player supposed to know what they can get away with in a game like this if it’s that inconsistent.

I'm a neutral observer that watched that game. How did the ball possession go to NC State with under 2 secs left? I didn't understand it and neither did the commentators. You could clearly see the ball hit the NC State's player's little finger!

Announcers were rooting for Oakland. Ball was out of bounds off Oakland on that play, and in this video you can hear the rules expert explaining the call.

Did the refs not see the NC State defender's pinky finger being on the ball when the passer still has his right hand and fingers on it? Watch, after the defender's pinky rolls off the ball, the passers right hand is still on the back of the ball passing it forward. Looks to me like they made the wrong call. Par for the course these days, unfortunately. That said, Oakland's Defense on the Hail Mary was begging for the shot to go down. Not guarding the inbound pass and not picking anyone up before halfcourt is a recipe for disaster. The over and back was a good no call as no one had possession of the ball at the time.

Diarra touched it, but #2 on Oakland was still touching the ball both before and after Diarra touched it. There was a little bit of time, enough that you can pause and clearly see it, where Diarra's finger had left the ball and Oakland's hand was still on it.

You can see a players arm on O'connells, also you don't even know the rules of basketball, you can clearly see Oakland was in single bonus, while NC State was in double bonus, of course NC State gets 2 free throws while Oakland is 1 and 1💀. Oaklands hand was also clearly the last to touch the ball out of bounds. Watch the game without bias.

Even reviewing that last possession in the 4th qtr they still made the bad call. I'm starting to think it's on purpose. This ref should be banned forever.
