If James ever did something like that, Alex would REALLY lose it...but I suspect James never would do it...he takes his Final answers too seriously (that is, he'd never purposely do one that would be considered wrong.)

You could almost see that he wanted to pause before he checked the other player's answers...but due to the time and essence of tv, I guess that couldn't be done 😔 It was unusual seeing Alex all choked up and Kyle and Emma didn't react at all 💔

He did once a couple years ago while wishing his mom a happy birthday on air. I haven't forgotten that, and won't forget this. And what's cool is I already liked Dhruv from the college tournament, and was happy to see him again, and now I'll remember him forever.

I think Alex even mentioned recently that one of the contestants that was meant to be in the tournament sadly passed away from the same cancer Alex is fighting- before the tournament episodes were taped...but I didn't catch the name 😔

It’s with a heavy heart that Alex is no longer with us Goodbye, old friend 😢💔

I have watched Mr. Alex Trebek on Jeopardy since the show started in 1984. I am so sad to hear of his passing. I learned so much from Jeopardy and he was so professional in whatever he did. He loved his family, friends, fans, and his job. He could have retired but he didn't. He had such an incredible work ethic and love for people. He is a blessing to us all. RIP Mr. Trebek. I am praying for his wife and children during this tough time.

When he was gesticulating to compose himself, and that voice broke... I knew Alex was trying to maintain his composure. I am glad we have moments like this to remember forever. We DO love you Alex!
