personally i dont mind a delay. don't have a ps5 and if they push it back like a year or two so i can acquire one by the time it release, I'd be all good with that :)

The man behind this, Yoshi-P, is the same man that saved Final Fantasy XIV from becoming a dead MMO, so i have high hopes XVI will be great.

This is the real GOTY, not Tears of the Recycledom.

Interesting note, is that they wrote the dialogue with an 'english first' mindset. Eager to see how that changes things.

i really do like the look the dominants have. It's brief, but in the trailer I think the one who is Garuda was shown resembling an angel at first before going full bird kaiju which is kinda neat

The Dominants look pretty much the same as all the other times we've seen them in FF. I'd argue Shiva actually looks faily generic and boring this time around. Titan looks better. Some guys like Odin and Ifrit just always look exactly the same. What I'm REALLY looking forward to is the actual Dominant battles themselves, playing AS them instead of pressing "Summon" and watching a mini cutscene for the next 80 seconds

If you guys are interested the Final Fantasy series has ultimate moves similar to the fighting game supers you usually do. They're called something different in most games, but usually it's limit breaks, overdrives, summons, stuff like that. Big over the top cinematic moves. I'd recommend starting with ff7 Crisis Core Reunion dmw animations from a channel called Dominatorzcrew, cause Zack is a Labrador in human form and I think you'll really like some of his goober antics. I would suggest the FF8 ones cause I think you'll like that there's a whole set of supers where a girl teams up with her puppy, but I gotta warn you it's a PS1 game so the graphics are revolutionary... For 1995. Channel called Old-K has a really good quality video of those if you're interested.

You got to play the demo you dont know what your missing out on plus your save file carries over so you can get ahead of recording 😄

I took a Summer break of 2 weeks for this game. Will do ALL summer cleaning in the next 2 weeks, and be ready for this. ofc i have shoulder surgery in this month or next, hopefully it is after this game :D. I can live in pain as long as i get to game this in peace. hahah

I grew up playing FF I to X, stopped playing XI because adulthood but I still keep up with the game. Would be cool if you guys can react to FF Dissidia intro, FF Dissidia Duodecim intro and FF Dissidia NT final battle animated cutscenes. It’s basically an Avengers Endgame where every MC from all FF fight against all the FF villains

this game is amazing so far

June is crazy good. Diablo 4, Deep Rock Galactic season 4, Final Fantasy XVI ... so good

Confirmed 11 hours of cutscenes alone. Kinda crazy

this year of gaming has been incredible. Hifi rush came out of nowhere, RE4 remake was incredible, tears of the Kingdom, street fighter 6, mortal kombat 1, FF 16, Spiderman 2, dead space remake, diablo 4, hogwarts legacy, Jedi survivor, AND we still have more to come. this might be the best year in gaming since 1998 (go look at that lineup)

Ew, why'd you list D4?

I haven't been this excited for a new Final Fantasy in over 20 years. The wait is almost over. And yeah Clive is the only playable character this time. A point that's annoyed older fans since Final Fantasy used to be party-oriented. But his playstyle/s looks varied enough to where he won't feel boring even after many hours.

I love this Games ❤❤

Lol, I beat the game last weekend and that trailer has so many out of context scenes from the end of the game and a lot of chapter end fights.

You guys should watch one punch man its a very cool show about a man who realizes he is invincible and he tries to find a challenge to fight against evil aliens

YoshiP and the combat designer from DMC, this will be LIT. But i dont preorder.

I haven't been paying much attention to trailers for this game but I'm so hyped for the combat. I was a big fan of FFXV because of the action combat and I'm glad to see that XVI looks so much better.

while the combat was fine i hope i wont be the standard going forward. i personally enjoyed the ff7r approach much more and feel like due to the combat system this shouldnt have been a main numbered entry (15 still had some classic components, though overall i wasnt a fan).

While the visuals, combat and RPG elements make me salivate, the very overdone story elements are giving me PTSD at this point, and the characters would be in the Top 3 blandest and most boring looking characters in a FF game. I'm so incredibly torn 50/50 that while I love Yoshi-P and have the upmost faith in him.. this doesn't look good enough to warrant a preorder. It warrants two weeks, then reading reviews first before buying which is really unfortunate

it's going to be a mature story full of tragedy so not a happy game, the opening of the game will shock you much more than the last of us opening, and the story of the game heavily influenced by game of throne and lord of the rings...,so prepare it's a linear game like god of war ragnarok and last of us not an open world..., also you will have 11 hours of cinematics alone like full season of game throne ...
