Female Hrothgar: *Is Revealed* So Many People: "I'm not a furry... ...but"

SO happy with this fanfest announcement. Pictomancer as a full (not limited) caster class, Beastmaster, and of course, the Hrothgals! Feline faces and buff bods, I am 100% happy. I'll have to roll one up as an alt, since I'm too attached to my male Hrothgar Casimir as a character. We might even get our first in-game glimpse of her in 6.55, since 6.5 ended with Erenvale back in Sharlayan with "the client" shown only at the ankles.

If you look very closely at the shot where Krile's brandishing the brush and palette, you can see the earring under her hood.

I have two theories on solution 9. It's either Mhach (the architecture is VERY similar to the pyramid in the raid) and this was solution 9 where the void ark was solution 7 or 8. As in, solution to the calamity. That or it's a civilization from another shard that found a way to the source. The source has had to restart technologically every couple of thousand years because of calamities whereas the shards that still exist have had all of that time to develop and advance.

I was also thinking it could have been a solution to the calamity! The fact that they chose to hide many of the objects makes me think there are symbols or the like that we would latch onto and connect to the things we know! I need to revisit Mhach architecture to see if I can also see a connection there!

It’s purple because of the lightning energy powering everything. Mhachi architecture is purple for a different reason. Aside from that, I don’t see much resemblance. Mhach is more Geiger-esque, where Solution Nine looks more high tech fantasy like Phantasy Star or Midgar.

My thought is that the thunderstorms in Heritage Found likely link it to the Calamity of Lightning (2nd), and the pillar we see holds Solution Nine above it as a type of shelter beyond the reach of the storm. It's also oddly reminiscent of the description of Byregot's Spire: "In the third heaven rises an iron tower of spinning gears and taut springs constructed by the Builder himself. It is assailed without cease by the jealous Rhalgr, but the Destroyer's mighty levinbolts only serve to power the spire's clockwork soul." Could this be what served as inspiration for the myth?

Commenting as I watch. 1) So happy you're happy with Picto, 2) The look on your face was the same as pretty much all of us when we first saw Solution Nine. Like... WHAAA? 3) My take on the whole ancients thing? They've only ever, ever said "the Hydaelyn-Zodiark arc is done." They've never said we were done with the ancients. And there's a whole lotta partial convocation souls out there that have had their memories restored. The only ones truly gone are Emet, Laha, Elidibus, Fandaniel and Nabriales. The remaining 8 are, presumably, still out there somewhere. 4) Chonktaur is what I'm calling him. My theory is that the raid is going to be some sort of simulation that this ancient civilization perhaps uploaded their minds. The raid name Arcadion is probably a reference to Arcadia, a form of utopia and the Japanese title for the raid can be read as "Seat of Ascension: Arcadion." I'm guessing their "Solution 9" was to build this thing and somehow "ascend" onto "utopia". I could be way off, but this where I'm at with the current information we have.

THAT IS THE EXACT VIBE I WAS GETTING! I think we are almost certainly way off but just how cool would that be? They harvested the natural levin energy to power a MASSIVE simulation where they could avoid the coming calamity and leave their corporeal bodies behind.

Gays and Theys are gonna be turning UP for Pictomancer Which also makes me imagine an AU where Ryne becomes Pictomancer. How cute would that be??? And Gaia dealing with it???

I think Solution 9 is gonna be my new hangout spot😂 That aside, i shed happy tears for Krile. She's been through so much, especially for a character that was relegated to the sidelines since her introduction. I'm so glad she gets to be in the thick of everything with us.

If we ever do get geo, it will be limited surely. When doing the 60-70 ast job quests you’re helping a geo which is basically the eastern version of an ast, revealing it to be a healer. Knowing this, I would love having geo in the game, but since it has been established into the lore already it will probably be the 5th healer or a limited job =/ It would be fun as a healer, provided it worked completely differently than anything we have now.

Btw, Krile being a Pictomancer now makes her making fun of Alphinaud drawing during lectures make sense.

The city of Section 9 could either be a far hidden area on the continent, because they hint at a far flung location there with the pictomamcers "creature" crossing a clearly more advanced, almost San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge like structure. Or, who knows. Maybe the 9th Reflection. We have been visiting the alternate realms.

One of my friends believes it's related to the calamity of lightning - there's something in one of the encyclopedias (possibly the new one, I don't own them myself) mentioning that it followed an era of industry and technology, and that when civilisations were forced underground and prayed for salvation from the plagues that spread in the caverns, they discovered magic for the first time. It would explain the purple glow everywhere - what if they managed to harness the perpetual storms on the surface to power the city, and that's all lightning aether, captured by technology before they worked out how to wield it personally?

my theory is a a solution to a past calamity or the end of days that wasnt used, also zidane in ff9 had twinnblade like viper and zidane had a limit break called solution 9 also

Pictomancer doesn’t appear to be a summon type job. The paintings are just that, paint. They’re constructs made of aetheric paint, not actual familiars or anything to my knowledge. They don’t look to be autonomous because you need to focus on the paintings when casting.

Our FemmeHroth that's in the boat, we KNOW, because he said so during the keynote, is the Daughter of the CURRENT leader of Tural. She a Princess. Beyond that, we know nothing.

Honestly, I hope they don’t take the game into modern or futuristic settings. It, for me, would destroy the vibe of the game. They made a cool job as a limited one which is disappointing in the extreme.
