Another good option is to have build up the Overdrive gauges on the summons, have Lulu cast Bio on him, and just wail on him with the overdrives of your summons while also being sure to Dispell his shields and have Wakka use Silence on him. Using this strat, he went down for me before he even thought of using his carpet bomb attack.

that statement about silencing him is AMAZING

To those who don't know, when mortiorchis powers up for total annihilation, you gotta target it to nullify the total annihilation attack

I just beat him buy spamming overdrives. He didn't even attack at all. The first time he had like 10 moves in a row and annihilated me but on the second try I used haste on Yuna and he didn't even attack me once 😀

I plaed this game when it came out 2001/ 2002. I spent 70 hours getting to this point and couldn't beat it no matter what I did....... Now with your help I will defeat him!!!!

i have diificulty too its very hard, i sufer total anihilation and i dont know how to defeat him

Dont bring auron at first half, he is too slow, when you revived him he still 4 turn bellow you, bring riku,tidus,yuna Keep hitting the mortiocris so seynour cant use his fav zombie-full live combo At mid part mortiocris start charging to casted flare, use reflect to counter that Now the final part seymour start charging for total annihilation switch to auron,tidus,wakka give all protect&guard to block total annihilation After that just finish seymour

and equip rikku with "Alchemy" weapon. u can heal entire party using Mega Potion for 4000 HP and Hi-Potion for 2000HP. at this rate, rikku is greater support system than Yuna.

omg. why it takes so long for you to cast haste protect and shell. just replace yuna with rikku and use Mighty G.

UUGH!!!!! I was one aeon away from beating him! He used total annihilation and that is when it all ended for me :(

This boss fight is truly hell. I beat it without the summons, mainly used poison and attacked the arm occasionally for extra damage. (Once it hits 0 it sucks life from Seymore) with AOE from Rikku abilities or overdrive attacks that can hit both of them it adds a nice effect of extra damage. It’s important to stop him before using dispel because that can literally make or break the game if you don’t have on protect or shell once cross slash hits or total annihilation because it will one shot you’re entire team if not

Why did you not use the holy armor pieces? protects against zombie...

I took the easy path : Charging the overdrive of all the Eons and blasted him every turn, I didn't care if the next turn he knocked'em down because I won

all i need is the damn dispel and holy water that's it.

But what i can’t use haste?

For anyone interested my method is to have full over drive on all the Aeons. Seymour will banish them but on turn is all you need to use the overdrive. By the time you go through the roster Seymour will be dead.

+thanatos absolved How I beat flux easier (easy as 1 2 3), as well getting at least 2 elixirs, an OVERKILL, and untouched (and I did not even waste time dispelling him)! 1): Lineup, Tidus, Rikku & Yuna: Tidus use Hastaga (which starts off with 3 more turns for the team), Rikku steals (Yuna is switched out and back in as the last turn), she is replaced by Lulu whom uses Bio, then Yuna summons over-drived Aeons in order 2): After that...manipulate Yuna so she is always the last turn, summon as often as allowed in a row...(Do as you desire, I used Rikku in 3 attempts all told and got 2 elixirs for my trouble and one of my guys used silence on him but that didn't matter for he didn't get to do anything anyway, but prepare himself) 3): Down to my last over-drived Aeon, Baphemet ; P I used Yunas' overdrive to bring him out, making him even stronger, then...OVERKILL! you need to grind so hard in every place. the Auron i have has the same amount of HP because of this .

Just casting regular Haste on everyone individually works too, starting with Tidus. Hastega just saves time by doing it on everyone with one turn.

tbh normal haste works too, just takes longer to apply since it's one at a time, and protect isn't super necessary. idk how I was so high level at this point in the game. I guess I did a shitload of grinding :x I haven't had those spells by this point in recent playthroughs either.

Arguably one of the easier boss fights in the game.

Seymour never uses dispel on you man, so this isn't really effective for everyone.

Now its one of the easiest battles see my reply, to this post, to beat flux as easy as 1-2-3 I promise your level does not have to be high...

Hastega > Summon aeons and use their overdrive. Rinse and repeat. Haste won't give Seymor enough time to attack.

beat this easy in 2 seconds had Yuna in overdrive with Yojimbo too in overdrive then Zamato and its over just like that also did same thing for the Spectral keeper up ahead in zanarkan
