Actually, the only cutscenes you need to see is right after you see jecht say he he’ll be the final aeon. You can save after that cutscene and you only have to watch one cutscene

Coming up to this fight and getting flashbacks to when I was 15/16 and I spent an entire evening trying to kill her, gave up and then came back a month later and did it first try. Revising strategies because I do not want to have to sit through that cutscene over and over again

An extra tip is to spend as much time as you need in the first form to put reflect to all the members of your party, cheer and luck, then Heal all party members to full life points before you destroy her first form.

Such a great and easy way to defeat her, thanks a lot. Spent nearly 40 minutes yesterday trying to beat her and forgot that I couldnt heal my zombified characters due to stress, used mega-phoenix and then came the GAME OVER Screen. Thank you so much for this video

Fighting Seymour Ominis after Yunalesca was a slap to the face. No wonder he never took care of Yunalesca himself.

Second playthrough in 20 years. I went in and threw everything I had at her until I was out of holy, phoenix downs and Yuna was out of mp. I have Auron left in zombie with regen and cast on him with like 300 hp and hit her like 3 times. I killed her at the freakin buzzer! thank God she died. I really didn’t want to sit through those cut scenes again 😂

I ran in there without looking at a guide first and had to use Yojimbo to cut that medusa in half at the end.

Fighting the spectral keeper and dying over and over made me quit playing for over 2 years and randomly decided to pick it up and beat that first try and was like i need to watch a guide on yunalesca cause i am not waiting another 2 years of frustration to do this again lmao.

I got this game when it first came out on PS2. I don't even know where I got to maybe second Seymour fight, have it on steamdeck and just beat this bitch Yunalesca. Wish me luck!

Just go back outside and buff up, there's a save point so you can easily ran around and then heal!

I just got my highest defence and magic defence with most health to keep on zombie so when she casts mega death 1 is immune and then I can cast mega phoneix

It's not a 10 minute cutscene, save before the Jecht one, and then you only have to watch a 4/5 minute one

I beat her on my first try. Helpful tip is just before you beat her second form, keep one person in zombie status. That person will survive the death. Use mega phoenix rinse and repeat.

Just leave the temple and fight until u get them again

After a big cut scene, i always try to go back and save to avoid it in case i die.

Thanks for the video I watched it after beating it, but i don't think it wouldv helped me🥴, this boss is just a pain and the last cutscenes before it was still a bit too long which ruins your motivation. Beat it at 3rd try, over 3 hours (though it felt shorter) and I am proud it was my least favorite boss.

Did this first try.. after reading comments either I spent too much time grinding in zanarkand or I got lucky asf with RNG

This fight gave me ptsd

Auron is some use to the party in this boss fight too with moves like Armor and Mental break

I did so much farming on zanarkand reached 5000 hp with everyone.

I did that for everyone except kimari . I ended up getting rikku Yuna and lulu all holy , Ultima and flare . Auron and tidua were hitting 9999 every time

@@coooolibri Zombieproof. I noticed that you can collect what you need from monsters right before the boss area. Right now I’m grinding and stealing candle of life and purifying salts (no encounters). The zombie status is a pain. If I can proof everyone, knocking out her HP will be nothing.

@@Luke.Skywodka Yup, just beat her yesterday, 3rd try. I forgot how this fight went so it some trial and error. I didn’t watch this video yet, but for me, I equipped zombieproof and had Rikku used holy. I summoned an aeon when she had less than 10,000 HP in her 2nd stage so that when her 3rd stage does Mega Death, I’m not effected. Then kept hitting her with holy, 3rd level magic and physical attacks. I occasionally summon an Aeon and use their overdrive before they got killed. I’ve seen other interesting strategies but this works for me.

Save up all your overdrives from your aeons and do the same with your characters not sure what he’s saying on the video havnt watched it but survive the first 2 phases then pop everything you’ll deffo beat it dispel regen and don’t remove zombie if people die you Phoenix down them and mega pot them and hope the zombie attack comes before mega death if it doesn’t then just do the same thing you can even use holy water and heal up your players after mega death I knew when I first fought her I knew I’d win just didn’t have the aeons charged killed her on second fight I remember watching my cousin play it a long time ago he couldn’t get past the final fight with Seymour I always wanted to see if I could beat it always loved the game

I discovered myself this strat, but i keep getting my ass beaten, i do half the damage you do, i guess im under level af, fml

will the Final Aeon Temple light up if i have gotten all Chest all every Temple ? Just wondering I’m on this part where i have to fight yunalesca also i don’t own a airship

It bugs when when players do things like cast Hastega and then _immediately_ switch out a team member. Like, you're wasting turns and MP just to reset Haste on the next character. I know a lot of people struggled with Yunalesca (my younger brother certainly did) and while she is one of the tougher bosses I had more trouble with Evrae than her, to be honest.

Same Evrae gave me a run for my money, had to spend a few days grinding wakka and luna just to beat him. Spent too long relying on aoens early game

Yes, you can. Always try to leave whenever you’re stuck. You can take that teleportation pad all the way back to the Calm Lands if you want. I knew what to expect and knew I couldn’t beat her 3rd form so I back tracked after trying to fight her once, as a reminder, to grind a bit and collect some items.

He is underleveled. On my playthrough he did much more. So for the first 2 phases it went by very quickly.

you rly dont have too use 3 char you cast boom on on phase 1 when phase 2 pop use 3 other char (faster then removing the boom and prevent renov cast on you to be bounce on her) always keep 1 under zombie in phase2 phase 3 end her until 20-30k then bahamut overdrive to her face to end it safe

You need zombie proof. Ward means partial protection, proof is full protection. Anything with “eater” means you can gain HP from the attacks.

Grind is boring and normal people dont play story driven games like an mmo. Ffx is literally designed to just walk in a STRAIGHT line and go forward thats why the game kinda sucks. The second half of the game is just stupidly hard for No reason and the only answer is „grind”

Sure but that's more trouble than necessary, you're supposed to figure out the trick to beating the boss not just bruteforce them, in this case there's tons of ways to beat Yunalesca easily, you can use Trio of 9999, you can use Zanmato, you can use the Zombie strat, you can rush Holy and use that, many ways to beat her without bruteforcing levels and standard attack values

This boss is the worst thing ever
