Zangan (the martial arts guy in Nibelheim) is a character from the Tifa and Aerith book, Trace of Two Pasts, if you were curious.

I like to believe that cloud was reenacting the fight with the material garden with his hands, the whole time we telling the story.

Hey ryu, on 1:13:00 When sephiroth said "follow my lead", you're supposed to use the L1 R1 buttons for cloud (the synergizing abilities) to stagger the dude lol. I was confused at first but hope it helps.

I played this (the original) so long ago. I never really understood why they would send Sephiroth to investigate THIS reactor in particular. Is it assumed that Shinra just didn’t have any idea about Gast’s experiments?

Prolly and most likely. It’s weird to me also, but considering the events that take place afterwards, with Zack and Cloud on the run. Hojo seems to be doing “unsanctioned” experiments with both Nibelheim AND Deeproot (from Dirge of Cerberus) with Chadley (from Remake). I always thought that, at this point in the story (of Crisis Core), Sephiroth being #1 SOLDIER, he personally wanted to find out his origin as he seems to know something about his origin was a-missed when he talked about the “parents” dialogue. So it might be a combination of many things that was just ultimately unfortunate and unlucky turn of events of the Nibelheim’s Mako Reactor’s inspection.

4 years!! I remember the FFVII remake streamings. Didnt play the game but I really enjoy watching your gameplay

So, is it me, or was FF7 remake/rebirth way more polished and better than FF16?! What were your thoughts ryu?

As an OG fan of VII, the remakes feel so bland and devoid of essence.

I feel like I'm alone in feeling the FF7 remake and rebirth combat is boring. I miss the original FF7.

I tried to play through the remake 3 times over a year and couldn't get through it. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own.

I actually liked the combat a lot in the remake. Just didn't like much else. Too much bloat and filler. Really felt like one big tutorial area stretched as thin as possible. I'm looking forward to this one though because this one is finally getting into the meat of the original game.

@@FenrirBoom If you're looking good turn base great story. I recommend Yakuza like a drag. To me that is turn based done correctly. While they give you a somewhat GTA like map to explore story is phenomenal as well.
