Ifrit using Helfire twice is the equivalent of failing the cast the first time around because you cancelled it, then using it again for real.

You don't like the Butt Face Typhon with Ultros or Mr Chupon if you played the OG snes ff3 lol. He does look good Typhon in Mythology is Echidna Hubby and Father of Monsters.

Emperor is intimidating as all of hell and Ultima is annoying and uninteresting at all!

I absolutely love this sequence! The fight was so fun and the cinematic sequences were all so anime it brought back my inner child! And the music was so badass it reminded me of the FFX part where Seymour joins your party.

@@cmatteo2780 yea, especially after this chapter during the lost titan fight. That felt very outlandish and silly for me. But then the Bahamut chapter after that outdid the previous chapter and impressed me even more.. Loving everything in this game, can't wait to continue onwards when I get to..

soken you genius. i had a feeling EDM would be used for battles against the fallen. had the same feeling as i did in ff9 when 'Not Alone' plays.

Honestly, when i first saw Typhon I thought "Oh no...is that Anima!?" This is a scary version of Typhon.

Never been so addicted to a boss fight ost. I felt possessed listening to this and playing on my first play through

Ifrit using his arm as a vaulting pole had me so hype and do not get me STARTED ON THAT MUSIC 🔥🔥🔥

I can't even begin to describe the pure hype & joy I have playing this game. I am blown away by ALL aspects. Music/OST, the acting, the gameplay, the boss fights, the cinematography, the different lands, the pause-screen LORE DUMP, Jill, I can't stop. I play with the Japanese sub for that extra anime goodness & my god the voice acting is next level. I plan to replay with the American VA's because this sounds pretty damn good too!

@@LastOfGamers I am not skilled as a gamer. I play games often for the story and adventure rather than combat or challenge outside of puzzles and the like. This game was an incredible experience. I know this game probably doesn’t monetize as well as a game such as D4, but it was way more relatable and fun. I love Jill and Clive’s relationship and all the side characters are memorable.

the English VA's surprisingly was extremely good. This game was very "anime" so you would think any other language aside from Japanese would be cringey during certain scenes but the voice acting was amazing in English

I love how in later parts of the game, boss skills are almost unending in variety. Jesus, the Flan Prince Mark is Multicasting -ga spells all at ones like nobody’s business 😂😂😂. And damn Hugo. Was so surprised with the amount of skills he have!

There is variety in the design, but the patterns are the same. Dodge, hit, use abilities, repeat until staggered, repeat until dead. With action cinematics in between. I'm not complaining. It's fun, and it's cool. But it requires focus. I'm not even saying it's hard. Just attention and focus demanding. As with everything these days.

Just got to this fight last night man I was impressed by some of the moves this guy has, had no idea who this dude is tho but cool fight

Typhon is literally jus the Final Boss of Asura's Wrath in this game, and thats a fgood thing. XD

Garuda and Typhon are probably my favorite boss fights in FF16 Garuda- it's because of Clive awakening Ifrit and then the fight was just incredible Typhon- it's because of the music but also, the fight too

Did anybody else notice that the music playing when they first approach the heart of the crystal is similar to the music playing right before you reach trance Kuja in ff9?…or is that just me?

Zeus literally had to drop an entire mountain on this thing to defeat it.

I don't even like final fantasy and this is still one of the most badass things I have ever experienced. This game is phenomenal

It felt like they based this boss fight and style of combat off of Budokai Tenkaichi. Even Ifrit's finisher was very DBZ like.

@@jair7023 Ifrit went berserk (like Eva 01) and tore up Phoenix like the dummy plugged Eva01 vs Eva04. A section of the Phoenix battle is like Eva 01 vs Kaworu-controlled Eva 02 to Central Dogma. This Typhon battle too, there's a rough Spear of Longinus reference with the Eva Series pulling it out.

This boss looks so much like Gorsia, Gorsia is the final boss of 7th Saga, I had fun beating up Typhon (Gorsia variant), good fight. :P

Okay, stupid question probably, but... what exactly is Typhon? I thought at first it was sort of Ultima's primal form, but is it actually a separate entity? Another member of Ultima's godlike race? Is it ever made clear, somewhere I missed?

Ultima is not a single being, he is a collection of all of his race, hive mind so to speak. He explained that parts of him were contained in the crystals, and that destroying the crystals would free them. In the end of the game you can see them merging with ultima making him whole again. Typhon is one of the parts of Ultima that was contained in the crystal that was destroyed in this video. You can see Typhon emerging from the crystal to fight Clive and why Typhon looks somewhat similar to ultima’s true form which makes sense cause Typhon is an incomplete part of Ultima

I wish we got Typhon abilities because he is a summon

This is game is good been playing everyday since release unlike ff15 I just couldn't get into it never got to finish it hopefully I can with this one.

Fun fact: The Ultimania officially revealed that Typhon was actually a failed Mythos, meaning he was a person like Clive who had the power to absorb the other Eikons but unlike him didn't have the strength to gain control over them, so Ultima unintentionally overloaded him and turned him into an empty husk. So yeah, in this scene, Ultima his using his old, broken vessel to test his new one. This fight just got 1.000 times more badass.

This game is basically if Game of Thrones and Attack on Titan hade a baby. Not a bad combination in the end.

Get owned twice by Typhoon second phase due his aoe attacks, especially Demon Wall. By the way, his 2nd phase make he looks like Radagon from Elden Ring 😃.

There seems to be dimensional downgrades hackings of all sorts. Many unaccountable. Aside from the various SimCity Multi-Players Multi-Pets Multi-Programs Multi-Telefones hackings. I am not sure exactly how would a quarantined gameplay exactly be done achieved. Given the universe galaxy size, etc.

I think this boss proves that parasite Eve would absolutely slap as a remake

The change in musical genre is meant to emphasize the otherworldliness and wrongness of this fight. It's designed to make Typhon feel like a perversion of what can and should happen, and at this point in the game with the knowledge the player has that's exactly what he is

If it doesnt float, have two faces and isnt associated with ULTROS then it aint Typhon. Man this series is not even recognizable today.
