This is one of the best debates I have witnessed. Sure, there was no decorum and ideas were being debated left and right in a cacophonous style but that was because the topic made no sense. But out of disorder came order, and out of the cacophony there appeared several kernels of wisdom and truth. I hope the young people in the audience (and their parents too) realize what a Woodstock event they just witnessed.

i think the bottomline stands that: all opinions arent equal and all voices dont matter. the question is who decides which opinion matters and when does it matter? and which voices should be ignored and to what extent be ignored and when? History can give us some perspective, but unfortunately the world hardly retrospects and contemplates and doesnt learn from its mistakes.

Are the issues getting mixed up here? There are at least three different strands being discussed, and each collides with the other, only to spread more obfuscation. First, there's the issue of social media playing a 'disruptive' role and giving power in the hands of the commonman (or whoever can make use of it). Everyone seems confused as to which side of the motion they are in...

Discussion on the "Post-Truth " is or was.... much more of the jargon among the the heavy (ist) weight intellectual-scholars gathered from all over the world to discuss the latest version of truth and that too in India .... The land which initiated the search of truth and that too at the level of absolutism. But the fluent English speakers didn't mention the six schools of India philosophy., Buddhism, Jainism, or even Gandhi who said the God is truth and then concluded that truth is God!!!

Alternate Facts are lie only if your facts are fact. But If you propose lie as facts than alternate facts become fact.

Wow. The top comments truly reflect our obsession with sadism and vilification. Let's appreciate the truth that Suhel, Shashi and Swapan are truly exceptional speakers.

Wonder if any of us actually sees the complete truth. We only see the part of it, which we like to see. Others' perception of truth may be completely valid.
