Fifty-five years on and she looks more beautiful than ever. I only flew on the Queen twice in my life, but even so, they were the most memorable flights of my life.

I flew from Maine to California on one as a kid and fell in love with the 747 instantly! Absolutely legendary aircraft

Oh man… the end of an era, I keep enjoying these big boys flying above my house from time to time. Still at 10.000/9000 feet though, but even at that altitude it looks huge!

I'm in one of the ORD flightpaths.....there is no mistaking the four engine roar of a 747.

Oh wow such an emotional video of that last 747 leaving the factory and that water solute was amazing so please Boeing keep some for future generations to see as it is so iconic

My first flight as a kid was on a 747 from SFO to Buenos Aires Argentina. I fell in love with that beautiful machine. You just felt so safe on it. Farewell to the Queen of the shies!

Much respect to Paul Weatherman (the drone operator )who filmed this! some of the coolest footage out there and a true professional. Loved this video the best so far. And I can't wait to see this beauty in person sometime in my plane spotting career

54 years of 747 production, that's a lot to be proud of. Airbus built the Superpig A380 and never made a dime off the program and stopped making them years ago. The 747 was first, and the 747 was last, and 747s will still be flying long after the last A380 is retired and scrapped or on display in a museum. Long live the Queen of the Skies. 747.

I can predict both may be off the rosters in the next few decades, but the 747 will certainly be the last of them to retire.

My dad is now starting to fly on the 747-8F for Air Belgium. I’m sad to see this beautiful plane being decommissioned but I’m also excited for the future! Thank you, 747, Queen of the Skies.

Yes,.. that's why we are called the "Incredibles" 🤗 And it was an incredible experience being part of this most beautiful lady of the skies. Ya know. There was a time when we were rolling a complete airframe every 3 Days. And did it for over 2 1/2 years at 100%. Good Times 🤩✈️🥰 ... remember,.. Behave Yourself 😂🖖

Flew on a Qantas 747 from Rome to Sydney in 1977 via Athens and Tehran. Most memorable experience.

Thank you Boeing for such a amazing aircraft the 747 is now going to retire and it is a unhappy and sad thing.😢😢 May the queen never be forgotten.

The upper deck of the 200 variant was the best place to be. With only about a dozen seats, it was like an exclusive club.

How incredibly sad. I’ve been flying all over the world for work for 30 years. Most were long haul flights to Europe or back across the Pacific from LA to Australia. There was nothing like stepping on a 747 for the flight home. It always felt safe and secure. I will miss that feeling greatly. Thanks to the designers and engineers who dreamed up and built such an incredible machine.

I really wish I could've been there for the last flight. To be there in the moment when the 747 would leave Everett for the last time. The 747 is my favorite airplane and is what got me back into aviation and also got me to switch my major to AE. I owe a lot to her and I hope I can fly on one before they're all gone.

The only time I flew on a 747 was from Los Angeles to Kauai, there and back in summer of 2006. I was 7 years old when I experienced my first 747 flight and it was amazing. It’s sad that we have to say goodbye.
