2 minutes I was having a heart attack. Then at the final 50 seconds tears started rolling and then by the time the clock hit 5 seconds I was crying like a baby. Best feeling ever. I was only 6 years old back in 1997. I'm waiting for this moment for 27 years. Feels so freakin' great! I am so proud.

I love this story. We’re not far from the same tree. Enjoy this very much. Congrats! I was 8 in 1996 when we were in the Stanley Cup against Colorado. I’ve been waiting for this moment for 28 years! I felt like vomiting the last 5 minutes from intense butterflies in my stomach lol. I laugh now, but it was an awkward feeling, & it was worth it. I’m very proud of the panthers, for the fans, especially the fans from day 1. We’ve been through it all!! 🏒 🎉 🍾

yeah I had a weird thought come to my mind yesterday, that it had been 11 years since I had seen one of my teams win a championship (the Heat in 2013). I forgot what it felt like and I don't want to take it for granted, because you don't know when it's going to happen again. And in addition, not to make it about myself because I also realize that there are fans who have waited MUCH longer than me to see one of their teams win a championship, or hell, maybe haven't ever seen one of their teams win a championship in their lifetimes. I guess when I was younger I didn't really grasp that concept, compared to now

Что тут отрицать? Он одновременно финн и русский. для меня он чувствует себя полностью финном, я всю жизнь видел, как он играет в Финляндии, он говорит по-фински, но также и по-русски, так как его родители из России. Что тут отрицать и почему? Он финский русский. В чем проблема? Он воспитанник нашей финской хоккейной команды.

@@user-uc7hq3fk5n несколько причин...1.многие игроки не хотят жить в Канаде из-за климата 2. в Канаде более высокие налоги,что сказывается на зарплате 3.самые богатые клубы находятся в США,где более лучшие условия для бизнеса.(рынок больше) Как пример, переезд Квебек Нордикс в Колорадо,хотя по пулярности самой игры канадцам нет равных. ))

They (Edmonton) really fought hard for that 3rd period, and I agree, they looked gassed. Made a lot of mistakes that had been going their way in the past three games. I was so happy the Panthers won it!

yeah it's definitely weird, every other sport has an MVP award for the best player in the entire series. I think every time it goes to someone on the winning team (that just makes sense) except I think there was one time when someone in the NBA got it in a losing effort, might have been Jerry West. But the Conn Smythe is apparently the MVP of the entire postseason, not just the Finals. But again it doesn't really make sense to give it to someone of the losing side. Oh well. I have my opinions on it but I'm not going to get worked up over it. We got the trophy that matters

I moved to Miami 32 years ago and have been a die hard hockey fan since the inaugural 1993 season. Makes me tear up to finally see this especially after losing in 1996 and last year. They finally did it! WOW! Can they make it to the finals again next year? Time will tell!

When I was a child, still in first grade, I gave a report about Sergei Borovsky, told me what a cool goalkeeper he was, and that in the future I wanted to be like him. At that time he had won only one Vizina trophy and the World Championship with Russia. Now I watched with tears of joy in my eyes as he raised the Stanley Cup above his head. I am grateful to the Florida Panthers for this season and these emotions.

The coach did such a good job, until the last three minutes. Why he kept Skinner in so long and first line on the ice when they were exhausted. Those poor decisions will haunt him. Those last 95 seconds were just hard to watch.

I think it ended the best way. Oilers didn't embarrass themselves by being swept and showed how good they are, Panthers didn't embarrass themselves even more by being the first team losing from 3-0 in last 80 years, Florida deserved to win, Oilers deserved to win next time.

I'm not terribly familiar with hockey GOAT debates but I believe Wayne Gretzky is considered the GOAT? And didn't he win multiple Stanley Cups? I don't see how you could consider somebody the GOAT if they only win 1 championship. Look at the other sports. Tom Brady, 7 Super Bowl championships. Hell even with how insane Mahomes has been, he's not even in the GOAT debate with 3 Super Bowls. That's not to say that he can't get there but he's going to have to win more I would say, because if he goes the rest of his career without another Super Bowl, nobody's considering him the GOAT. Or in the NBA, Michael Jordan (yes, it's MJ, not LeBron lol), 6 championships
