In fact, they had embarrassing attendance numbers LAST NIGHT with the amount of Oiler fans that were able to buy tickets. But now they're champs and suddenly Lauderdale residents want this team all to themselves.

@@ArcanumAscent That's more a reflection of the terrible ownership we have had. I remember when they were trying to put a fence around the Sunrise arena because they were mad we park at the mall. Then charging parking per ticket when most people car pool. All this gouging and they would not pay the talent to keep them. Horrible. It's a new organization now and it shows.

I didn’t know it could float. Because back in 1992 Super Mario Lemieux wanted to see if the Cup could float. So he jumped in his pool with the Cup. It didn’t. Don’t know how it looked like 👍 it floated here. Maybe 🤔 because it was bigger and heavier here 30 years later. That still looked like it was fun. Florida Celebration 🎉. Thanx for posting this.

it ended up at the bottom of lemeuix pool....as it fills ups it will sink. its hallow those are rings not a solid piece and they remove rings as they fill up and then go to the hall of fame

To clarify, I’m a cats fan, but during regular season when the cats aren’t playing the bolts I root for the bolts cause hey it’s Florida! But, there are other teams that go higher in my standards than them like the leafs, Black Hawks, Canadiens, and Blue Jackets.

What city a team "belongs" to isn't specifically determined by where their arena/stadium is located nor is it necessarily determined by the name of the team name. But rather the specific media market/combined metropolitan area the team represents... The "Florida" Panthers although the arena is in Sunrise, FL and Fort Lauderdale is the nearest big city, belong to the entire Miami Metropolitan Area.....

It doesn't matter obviously it's a second version that they use in those parties made for the teams to party with... They can't afford to let the original Trophy to the hands of drunken guys. In Finland the national ice hockey Trophy was once demolished in partying so we use copies as well.

I was born and raised in Miami as well as a lifelong Florida Panthers fan. I have been waiting 31 seasons for the Florida Panthers to win the Stanley Cup. And now, the Panthers winning the Stanley Cup went from a dream to reality because Lord Stanley’s cup is in South Florida.

Brother it’s south Floridas team, the history started in Miami and everyone in Miami fill up the arena. It’s a 15 minute drive, no one city owns an nhl team. Every area in the US and Canada has an NHL team

As a Canadian I can only laugh at the woman who says Florida has ice. Yeah, it's under a big roof or in tall glasses, but not under your feet outdoors and on every rooftop for a good chunk of the year.

@@alexdrakeus1772 Having grown up in Edmonton, that comment doesn't bother me. Snow and ice are part of our character, and shoveling is great exercise. A field of snow lit with long shadows from the sun low in the sky for a few hours per day is beautiful weather, as is a huge snowstorm.
