Glad you missed one of the most nuanced film of the year 'three-of-us'. Why am I glad? It gives us a scope to watch your exclusive, when you find time to make it. :P
You should watch three of us , it is a wonderful movie
Subscribed you channel after backstage beer recommendation.

"i'm sure you can find a way to watch it" wink wink
If you liked Joyland then you should check his podcast on The Pakistan Experience. There, talked about writing, shooting, festival experience. Nd another film i like was Kamli. "You know where to watch"
Hey cinemawali! Love your content. I was wondering if you watch anime or not? , because I see you mentioning animated films many times. I would love to see your list of animes.

Klaus is one of the best animated movies of all time. Absolutely adore it.
❤❤❤
Want more videos on movie recommendations
Mother was the best of Bong Joon-Ho in my opinion better than Parasite & Memories of Murder for me it was just perfect.
❤❤❤❤❤
Frances ha is an emotion❤
Accidentally found her channel on Instagram, 😂 and now I am obsessed 😂
Hey, where are you?
9:40 you were my spirit animal when you did not look up if stranger things even while editing the video 😂 And here I am writing this comment while ‘not’ searching myself 😂
I love Bong Joon Ho as well. However, I didn’t enjoy Mother. Although the feel of the movie was quite new and exciting, the story didn’t make much sense for me 😅

I don't really follow any particular communities but you can check out some of the pages I interact with on Instagram. I find out about these films through a lot of sources- trailers, festivals, the homepages of OTT platforms, etc. :)

ok thanks mam
Recently I have been watchi videos criticizing animal and i totally agree with them on each and every point but then some people in the comment section point out at gangs of wasseypur(a film i adore) and say that it also glorifies violence or smoking and after giving it a thought i think they do have a point but then no one points it out in gangs of wasseypur, why is it like that? Or may be my thought process about GOW is somewhere wrong,PLEASEEEEEEE TELL

It's a good question! I haven't watched Animal but I'll try and explain what I've deduced. In both these cases, the difference is the intent. I heard some critics say that the violence in Animal isn't even that shocking but that it's a bad film in multiple ways. For example, the way Animal treats its women. There is a difference between showing patriarchal characters in a well- intentioned film and making a film with the intention of glorifying misogyny. If you recall GOW, it displayed all types of violence- there was awkward/funny violence, there was shocking violence and there was violence with that 'hero' vibe. These were all intentional, especially the hero thing that is meant to portray violence the way the characters see it and the way Ramadhir describes it- sab ke dimaag mein apni apni film chal Rahi hai. Overall, to me GOW is very original in the way it shows the reality of violence and shows by the end that revenge only breeds revenge and that nothing good comes out of violence. Besides that, GOW is also a well written, well directed, well acted, well edited and well shot film. Now if you watch Animal, I'm sure you'll find that the point of the film itself is violence- not just physical violence but a violence against the senses of the audience. It only seeks to breed aggression, or atleast that's what I've got from multiple interviews by the director. So basically - GOW uses violence as a tool of good filmmaking, Animal is a film that exists for violence. Does that make sense?

@Cinemawali It makes a hell lot of sense and thank you so much for clearing my confusion and good or bad I sometimes miss the 90s 2000s Era of mainstream films having soft boys and after watching your recent video the first film I found a way to watch is joyland. Thanks a lot for the recommendation. I hope your upcoming year is the best year of your life and bring a hell lot of happiness and a hell lot of subscribers

Not yet. I'm not a fan of Devashish Makhija after watching two of his short films, though Bhonsle was good enough. Maybe I'll check it out.

@@Cinemawali Pls check it out. It's the most accomplished & accessible work of Devashish ji in my opinion. Easily, it is one of the best films of the year.
