I have always appreciated video game music. The Mario mixed the games music masterfully and Jack Black as Bowser singing was awesome.

I watched this movie with friends over the weekend and had a very goofy smile on my face every time the soundtrack snuck in little leitmotifs from the Super Mario games, it was so pleasantly done and very fun ☺️

It's cool watching this from someone who loves Nintendo music so much! It brings back memories. And yes, I remember coming up with my own list of compelling reasons for my parents to buy us an NES for Christmas! 😂

One of the reasons tour reaction videos are so cool it's the mixture of your knowledge in music and being a big fan of video games! The result is always so enjoyable to watch! :D

Transforming videogame music, music that is intended to play for long periods of time without sounding "annoying" or "overplayed" into such grand masterpieces is truly something special!

Really loved the movie score. Couldn't stop catching lots of references while watching it the first time

Can’t forget the legendary Gusty Garden segment that showed up really brought me back :,) especially the SMB3 portions since it was my first Mario game

Ever since the film came out, I've been occasionally searching "Mario Movie soundtrack reaction" on KZread. Every time it's always just them reacting to Peaches, and never any of the actual background songs. Finally glad to have found someone react to some of the other songs. I've been waiting for this

My absolutely favorite piece of music from the movie is “Platforming Princess”. I literally bursted into tears when Peach grabbed the flagpole and the iconic music started playing. It’s insane how music has such a power connection to emotion!

8:10 I find it funny that at the end of "Peaches," Bowser screaming sounds too much like Toad. Maybe Jack Black should've voiced the Toads along with Bowser.

Superstars was an amazing OST. It was magical hearing it alongside the climax of the movie.

JB singing Peaches is absolutely one of the highlights of the movie. The entire movie is a frigging gem, and this song too.

The music of the movie was such a pleasure to hear when I first watched the movie and thankfully, we got access to the full OST really early. This music is so wonderful, I could listen to it every day. My favorite track, though, sadly didn't make it into the movie: Drivin Me Bananas! P.S.: Super Princess Peach is a really fun game. I liked it a lot.

I listened to The Super Mario Bros. Movie OST on it's own, and I think it's a real shame they replaced several pieces specifically composed to fit with the scenes happening in the movie with other licensed music. People seem to be okay with it because they're no "modern pop music" like Kesha's "Tik Tok" ("Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy") or whatever, but quite frankly I'd feel the same way regardless of what era-specific music they used. The use of a-Ha's "Take On Me" was the worst offender for me, it just felt like a pure WTF moment within the movie itself, and the piece that was supposed to play, called "Drivin' Me Bananas" in the OST, is phenomenal! It REALLY ticks me off that they didn't use that in the movie. Then you hear things like how the composer had to fight Illumination in order to use the piece "Superstars" in the movie's climax instead of Van Halen's "Jump", and it's like, who's idea was it to shove these songs into the movie? Why do they even need to be in the movie, it works fine, if not better, without them. I can only hope that when the movie releases on home video and streaming, they restore the original score to the movie, or at least give us the option to play the movie with the original score (and also maybe credit Grant Kirkhope for the DK Rap and Daisuke Matsuoka and James Phillipsen for "Attack! Fury Bowser). ...Oh, and Peaches is very good. Took me a while to warm up to it and really "get" it. Funny song, and I love Jack Black's deep Bowser voice, too.

An idea I had while watching - next time you recommend viewers to check your covers, it'd be even better if you could pick one or two covers specifically that they should check, just to really boost that cover and make it simpler for new viewers to know where to start.

Lol I feel lucky I didn't have to convince my parents to get a console, cuz we got one as soon as we could afford one xD Helps they did some gaming at arcades while they were dating, and they took us out to arcades regularly, and we gamed a little on the PC, mainly DOS games. Oh, and I LOVED "Peaches" xDD Best track, easily.
