I foamed my wagon tires. I got much better results by pulling the inner tube and drilling holes at the 12,3,6 and 9 o’clock positions. Keep putting enough in that it comes out the other holes.

Definitely this is a skill lol. Most importantly wear gloves. This stuff is almost like super glue on the hands. Yea im thinking just a little at time in each whole slowly beause it expands significantly! It also leaks out of the hole. Try adding one hole at a time in succession as well. Maybe 3 or 4 maximum holes. Yup makes sure the inside of the tire is open and no air inside im thinking too.

Great tip
You need to drill very small holes around the tire to release the air so it fills evenly
I know this video is pretty old but I figured this may help someone who is currently looking into doing the same thing! I foamed my wagon tires and I made four holes on the same side of the tire! But the most important part is you need to take the tube out! You don't want the tube in there! You're going to also want to spray just a little bit of water in each hole, this will help the end result have fewer air bubbles in it as well! You're going to have an overflow! What I did was I let it come out of the holes for a good minute or two, then I plugged all but one of the holes and then wrapped the tires in plastic wrap (because it kept pushing out the bolts lol! Andi didn't have tape strong enough to hold them in place! I felt that plugging three out of the four holes helped it expand more to the tire instead of towards the holes as in it was denser without the risk of big air pockets ! Also WEAR GLOVES!!!!!! If you get it on yourself or anything you can use acetone to remove it before it cures! Make sure it is safe to do so for whatever material you're going to be applying the acetone too! You can also put some into a large zip lock baggie, toss the straw and nozzle into the baggie with the acetone and shake the hell out of it and use a qtip or three to get all that foam out of the nozzle and straw then use those qtips to add some to the spout on the can or just drip a few drops of the acetone in the hole of the spout on the can itself and you will be able to reuse it instead of it being trash!
0:47 WTH 😂 Xbox is that you?
Congrats on 100K!

No Balls.
What about putting foam in a deflated tire and then pressurizing it with air? The added air should cause the foam to fully expand inside the tire. I think you would have to determine how much air per can of foam is needed to allow full expansion. The foam manufacturer may have the answer.

If you end up revisiting this you should take a clear balloon and fill it with some of the foam and tie it off and just see what it does when it doesn't have that contact with the air. Then after about a day you could poke a hole into the balloon and really understand how the expanding foam was working in your tires after you popped them.
HAND CLEANING TIP: When you get foam on your hands rub them on dirt or sand to first make it stop sticking then use lacquer thinner to remove it while you rub it off with sand or whatever you used. Same thing as with oil based paints, first rubbing your hands in some grit to absorb the material does make the solvent do its job easier. Thank me later.

How this work in a tubeless tire
Hey what's up Ryan Needle I have a question about Bmx Chains. i had a Full link chain and it snaped. I'm trying to figure out what's better Half link or full link chains let me know if ya can thx 👍🏼✌🏼
to have the foam work right you have to drill a hole on the opposite side of the valve stem so all the compressed air will escape and not have the foam spray everywhere when you pull the can off the valve
@ericmartin6657

That's right I learned that from my own experiment with spraying foam in my moped tire. As you have to either drill holes in the tire or spray in the tire as it's off the rim so I can completely dry first.
This foo, I got thrown off when you said “homies” ha ha
did you remove the inner tube? I am thingking to do the same.
Been subbed since 20k
Man yo bro i love your vids
it cures in air. also when you fill it. if you use expanding foam again. spin the wheel as much as possible so that you dont build up clumps
That was hilarious ! Can you say…OUT OF BALANCE, LOL.
Hi - What type of foam did you use - I tried it but the foam turned to rock and did not go all through the tire.....
What kind of bars do you have
Part 2 bro I subscribed for it supply and demand bro I demand it lmao nah great video I hit the bell bro
12:55 it's called tire sealent. it's been available since forever in the mountain bike world, especially with tubeless setups. but hey, it's your revilation :D

They use it for motorcycles and cars but only supposed to be a temp fix
In the 90's you could get foam-filled tyres that were also in neon colours, advertised as "puncture proof". A British comic advertised them with a half-page strip re-using the American advertising material, which was set in LA and about kids able to go and get help after an earthquake even though there was broken glass all on the streets. It was basically a foreign language to British kids, of course.

Wow fantastic work
Ryan Needleeeee!!
The moment I saw the thumbnail for the video I knew you would have this problem... The issue is that expanding polyurethane as you thought is air cured, I had to make a model of a cell when I was a kid so I thought the easiest way to do it would be to get a bouncy ball, fill it up with expanding foam then cut a quarter of it away like a diagram in a book, after 2 days it was still liquid inside, what you could do like I ended up doing is cut the hole out to begin with or cut the tire into a string, then clamp one end, hang it up and slowly do squirt after squirt though you can only do layers less than a few inches deep at a time so that would take you rather a long while to fill the tire up then just bend it into place like the pool noodle tires. you could also try to put a can full or even a quarter of a can full into the tire, let out all the air, then pump it up full of air and let it sit for 20 min then repeat the process letting the air out then re filling it again and that might let it cure. Good luck!!!

You should be able to remove that goop from your hands with baby oil. Yes, baby oil. The military attempted to use that stuff as a non-lethal weapon. The way they removed it was - baby oil.
Glad I watched this before my attempt :D

The point is air interacts with the tires material which is rubber contracts and expands as need it, that’s why we use it in the cars industry as well, so far nothing is been able to replace that technique yet, but hey I get the point, try new things, discover new things, that’s the way things happen, great video thanks.
My son told me about your expanding foam video. I enjoyed your no fear encounter with it. I do all my lawn equiptment and snowthrower wheels. Fyi wd40 is my go to for getting adhesives off my hands. Kids in my area as a bad prank put crazy glue on bike grips. I will check out more of your videos. Take care.

kool , nice experiment
Im with ya i got the same problem!
That South Bend Clutch tho hell yeah I had a stage 2 until I ripped the input shaft to bits.
Try it without the inner tube, kinda like going tubeless, but with foam. Just filling around the rim than seat the tire b4 it cures.
BTW get a fatbike or fatbmx for these tests. They would be a lot more dramatic and interesting. Love your channel, bro.

Should have used door and window low expansion foam Less expansion equals less air gaps in the cured foam equals firmer tires Also the foam is supposed to cure in the presence of air
the propellant in those cans is co², so, take out the air from the can, then air it up with your bike pump
0:47 Why is the log in sound from Xbox in there lmao
My go-to remover is PVC pipe cleaner. It works great, I've used it often.
Fill your tires with orbeez if you can
I'd explain what went wrong but you already figured it out at the popping of the tire when it went flat, the liquid foam mixed with oxygen and started expanding! if you could fill it up without mixing any outside air how you did with the front tire, it would work as a good fix for getting your bike home after a flat the problem is that you got it to work in one tire but not the other and you were lucky to get that. I tried the same thing but I wanted to test the outcome for the average biker. I went to twenty bike shops and had each one try it on two tires each, knowing that each one of these people have changed hundreds of bike tires as a profession and out of fouty tires I got seven to fill up the tubes on the bike without messing it up in one way or another. so it's a good idea in theory but in practice it needs a better way of getting the liquid in after removing 100% of what's already in the tube AND not letting any outside air mix in while filling it. Did you remove "ALL" the air from the tubes when you did it or was there a little left in there? I had to manually remove what was left of the air by sucking it out with aquarium airline tubing stretched over the air intake of the tube before I filled mine and that kept it 100% liquid until i poked it with a nail and it filled it back up in only a few minutes but when I stabbed it with a knife it took close to an hour and it foamed out all over the place and you could feel the difference between the foam and the air while you ride it.
Denatured alcohol takes off expanding foam the best! And acetone works best on superglue!
After he said the product in the beginning did anyone notice the Xbox sound 😂😂

I would have taken the tires off the bike, removed the tubes completely, and just sprayed the foam directly into the tire as you spin it around. That would have given a nice and even covering and it would have cured quickly. Might have ruined the tire but could just use an old one. :) And if it's a high density foam it would make it more stiff.

I'm gonna spray foam in a bmx tire today.Literally with just the tire in hand. I'll try running a nice even bead inside the tire and let it set. I might be able to take it out once cured, but probably not. so I'll do any trimming and shaping needed, then install it on the tire.
Your on to something DO NOT KEEP SEEKING!!!!😊
Did you remove the valve stem first?

sweet HONEY Out? That stuff is one time use only. The tires are good, but the inner tube is ...well it is not a tube anymore.
I had a wheelbarrow tire that would not climb up onto the rim no matter what, so I filled it with Great Stuff expanding foam and that did the trick.
Rub a decent coating of Vaseline gel on your hands before you work with sticky/messy products. The gel creates an oily barrier on the surface of your skin, nothing will stick. Then just simply wipe it off, apply again if need be.
so pretty much they already have that product.. Vittoria AIR-LINER. a cut to size foam insert to reduce the amount of air needed in a tubeless setup while giving some structure to the tire if all air pressure is released.
First video of yours I'm watching. By your voice, in the intro I thought I clicked onto one of iDubbbz's videos. You sound alot like him.

did the tire survive? if not im sorry
how much does your bike weigh?
For my bike I'm looking towards of getting that
Why fill a bike tire with expanding foam.......WHY NOT EH
Did you do ever do it again
the foam works in things that don't spin at high RPM.. I have done it to my snowblower tires..Been 4 years without a flat on my snowblower.. where you went wrong was not putting vent holes in the tire so the foam can expand and fill the tire.. I did 4 holes.. 1 every 90* around the tire ..That way it allows the foam to expand evenly in the tire.. no flat spots.. The foam needs air contact to actually expand and cure..putting it in a sealed tube wont cut it...
You look like Scottie from big brother lol
i did it 7 years ago for my dad's Wheelbarrow . it did not work because the faom was not displaced all around the tire which made it unbalanced while rolling
yay nice one
Should have rode it rite away so the foam would be be evenly filled or distributed through the tube through rotation it should help it ?? But that tube is totally blown bro. Lol. Hahaha.
I think you’ll need to add a combination of foam and air so it cures also would leave bike in the sun and rotate tires a few times so the stuff don’t end up in one side of the tube
Did you take the inner valve out? Ironically you might have to make a hole in the tube to spray it in there. The valve might be too tiny & tight, even with the inner valve out.
Gang gang
Don't want air inside your tube? Get a brand new un-inflated tube and fill it up with the foam. Somebody suggested that you should try this with a clear balloon so you could actually see what is going on inside. It's a good idea.
Is the foam better than slime?
I feel like with the idea you just came up with you could create your own expanding foam that could hold up a person's weight with no air in the tube or whatever, mass produce it and start a business idk lol.
why didn't you just filled up the Tire with the stuff after removing the tube? i think it would be batter to do that.
I've worked with it multiple times, and just, hahahahah. Use thinner, paint thinner, it dissolves it and any "sticky"/"fast drying" glues. It'll come off, so scrub with a toss towel, then rinse it off with water and some soap
For the thumbnail, I would recommend that you use the magnetic lasso tool instead of the regular one. The tires wills look more round instead of edgy.

To really give it a chance. I would lay the bike on its side spin the wheels frequently and let it dry for about 45 days to be sure it's cured. several years ago they had foam tubes I installed on a bike it left it pretty rigid but I don't see them anymore at the box store I'm going to have to look online and see if they still sell them.
It's water lol😂
Good luck getting that off your hands😂😂😂😂
You needed to place holes in the tube for air to get out and for the foam to exspand and fill the voids. 😊
0:46 the Xbox notification made me chuckle and I don't know why.
