What I learned living in Philippines 🇵🇭. Big voices come out of small bodies! I think god gave all filipinos an amazing voice, its just having the courage to use it. I hear it at parties and hidden in the voices of my kids when they are singing along. And my god can you imagine the courage for a kid to get up and do so well! I once went to a bar and there was a singer.. I requested every song I could think of trying to stump him and he nailed every one of them.

I literally started CRYING at Gian singing Thinking Out Loud. It’s one of my favourite songs and the dance that my boyfriend and I danced to at my prom and he sang it so beautifully🥰💗

I wish I could listen to these kids through the point of view of foreigners. Filipinos are very good in singing to the point that when kids belts out or sings a song perfectly, it's no longer new to us. Philippines has lots of singing contests being aired out everyday. Talent house is here and we always cheer for each and everyone who brands our identity and recognition for music. I'm so proud of this heritage. :') 💕

T hi e Philippines is just like a small finger in size found in a world map. But God is so good to bless us our land with alluring landscapes, white beaches and shorelines. ,rustling rivers and deep blue sea. Most of all the Philippines is blessed with many talented Filipinos in music ,arts and sciences.Ther are many of them found on different countries of the world.We should be thankful to God for He has done for us.

If you aren't familiar with the Bee Gees song "Too Much Heaven" (the second song), you totally should check it out. You'll have an even bigger appreciation of Echo's performance. He brings the Barry Gibb's voice quality to the song and it's CRAZY. (Also, that is a little boy - his real name is Angelico - and most people think it's a little girl due to the long hair.) The little girl at 15:10 is Esang de Torres. She was considered Lea's "mini-me" because she had previously been on a TV show singing one of Lea's songs and was declared Lea's mini-me. This was why Lea had the reaction she had, "You are mine!" because she had already met Esang and knew she was her mini-me.

That's why the karaoke phenomenon became a staple in the Filipino family. Somewhere in the family is a hidden talent that magically appears out of nowhere. English is their second language and once they hear and see those talent shows from all over the world these younger kids are hooked. Their parents are very supportive and provide the inspiration to improve their child's passion for singing. Karaoke brings the family and friends together during the birthday and holiday festivities. It's contagious and joyful and this is proof that in the Philippines it's so natural to discover so many gifted singers. Rich or poor it's like a dream that comes true for them.

I once watched a documentary about Jewish people who sought sanctuary in the Philippines during the Holocaust. When they arrived here, they made mention of going to the cinemas, playing on the streets and the fact that Filipinos were always singing. With these kids (some are adults now like Darren, Zack, Zephanie) I believe our culture of singing will never die.
