Ironic! I came from PH immigrated to UK many moons ago. I was hoping i could stay for 6mths there and 6mths in the UK to enjoy my retirement, sadly with this wretched covid i havent been able to! since last March. It wouldnt be worth it as the quarantine regulations here for 14days in a hotel which work out so expensive. Staying in a hotel over there is affordable enough. Thank you for walking me through and many others on the beautiful places PH can offer. I particularly like that beautiful, bright, polite, well behaved little girl such is Story.❤️ I am amazed how beautiful and green Mindanao is❤️

I agree. Words of advice: Filipino culture is particularly BIG on honorifics--Tito (male)/a(female)/ Tiya/o ("on-the-spot estimated generation" of parents), Lolo/a (generation of grandparents), Kuya/Manoy/Manong (male, anyone older), Ate/Manay/Manong (female, anyone older)--especially to those older than oneself--and even the younger ones; Ma'am/Sir (professional-teacher, professor, or anyone of (on-the-spot estimated) higher socioeconomic status, or any stranger who we know nothing of or about--to play safe...with respect), and those with professional titles i.e Doctor, Engineer, Architect, Sister (nun), Father (priest), Bishop, Monsignor, etc. In Northern Philippines, the honorific for a younger sibling or anyone younger than oneself is Ading (Ilocano). Better to be on the safer...more respectful...side than being misconstrued as being rude and uncouth.

To be honest, I have never seen those places you visited featured by other vloggers who are based on Mundanao. You are the first to feature a lot of these places. The Enchanted River is the only familiar one. What an epic adventure!

Agree, Story is the best kid but you and Sacha are the best parents. Admire how you are bringing up Story. And Junjun is the best tour guide. He is like a grandpa to Story. May I just mentioned that in our culture, we call the elders Lolo, Tatay, Tito or Kuya if he is male and Lola, Nanay, Tita or Ate if female. This is our sign of respect for elders. 5:11 Story said she will miss Jun-jun. They are aware of "Kuya" "Tito". Jay sometimes uses it. But they don't teach Story, she's British. Filipino parents would've corrected their kids.

I still would like to know what happened to Eden’s remains since you never mentioned in any of your vlogs unless I missed it. She was such an integral part of your family and bringing her ashes home and gracing your living room with her picture is a great way to honour her memory.

Glad that you managed to tour inspite of some areas' restrictions still. Your tours looks amazing! 👌It was badly needed after Eden's passing. Eden's spirit was with you 🐕 💓. Good job, Story for being a good girl during the trip. So more trips in the future!

We need people like you now to diminish the bad representation of Mindanao from the past. I remember back in 2012, my friend who was a European volunteer, told me that she was allowed to travel in Mindanao but to Cagayan De Oro only. Any other places is a no-no due to travel advisories. We still went to my relatives in Initao, Misamis Oriental as well as Camiguin Island anyway. 😁 Also, I think some travel insurance policies may have included the whole if not certain parts of Mindanao, as part of their non coverage. Someone I know got into an accident and was not covered by his insurance because it happened to a certain place in Mindanao which was on his travel insurance's black list at the time. 😕 Anyway, thank you Jay, Sascha and Story for showing us your travels! 😊😚
