When I was a kid we used to rotate the three holidays between my family, my adopted Uncle and Aunt, and a Filipino family who my adopted uncle managed to nearly single-handedly get out of the Philippines to here (they were Protestant and had suffered persecution). Anyway, we quickly fell in *love* with the food they would make. It became a great source of amusement to get into a conversation once Halloween was past about our enthusiasm for the upcoming culinary opportunities. You'd say 'I can't wait for the turkey and dressing, the sweet potatoes, the lumpia and pancit...' they would be nodding 'til the last two and then stop and say "Huh??" 😁 Haven't had that pancit in almost 40 years now. 😔

Filipino food is some of the BEST food! I work with a lot of Filipinos and when we have pot lucks they don’t mess around! My favorites are the lumpia, the Pancit, and the bbq. Also their desserts are wonderful! The cakes are not too sweet like their mango cake and their ube cake. They also have a dessert called Biko. It’s delicious!

its fake though, besides fried pork is on every Chinatown.

Yes, we love lechon kawali. It’s a boild, dried and chilled then deep fried pork ribs that comes with “sarsa” (sauce/dip sort of gravy like) or “Mang Tomas” dip. The sisig is a Kapampangan pork dish that’s very famous. And sinangag (garlic rice) which is a favorite type of rice in every household in the Philippines.
Live in Cerritos of all places. I need to finally try Filipino food.

Point-Point means "Turo-turo" in Tagalog, Philippines' major dialect, which is a cafeteria style of diner where you literally point, "turo" in Tagalog, what you want to order.

Bro that looks fire
fun fact: point-point in direct translation to tagalog means, turo-turo. in the philippines we have this small eateries (carinderia) also known as turo-turo, because you literally have to point out the dishes you want to eat because all of the dishes are displayed for you to see. prices are way cheaper in turo-turo because it is a mom&pop shop, and servings is just enough for a single person.

Literally the joint is a english translation of The Filipino's "turo-turo karinderya!"
Wow sarap, yummy
Those Lechon Kawali are my kind of keto chips
The shop is called "Point-point" because its translated to "turo-turo" in Tagalog which means to just point the food with your finger upon ordering from an array of delicacies.
