I’m Mexican but my mom worked with a lot of Filipino people when I was young. This and sinagang were my favorites growing up.

You have great taste my bro
I looked at the comments down below and it’s amazing that everyone seemed to like Filipino adobo! I’m Filipino, and I had to google how to make adobo because my mom couldn’t be bothered. She said: “Just google it!” Yours is amazing! Loved it! But, my mom uses sprite instead of water because it tenderizes bone-in chicken. However, if you have boneless, just use sugar and it’s good too.

Does your mom use sprite and sugar? Or replaces the sugar with sprite?
@Mary-sh2bp
Жыл бұрын
@@kathylikestrlc with bones, just sprite is fine. However, depends on your soy sauce too. Because you need to balance the saltiness with sugar, vinegar and etc. Tbh, I like using both, but not too much sugar, please!

@@Mary-sh2bp funny you mentioned sprite cuz my bro in laws aunt who is Filipina made a disgusting look when i told her ive made adobo twice and used sprite one time and she said Sprite isn't used but i saw recipes which use it..

@@Mixwell1983 lol. The sugar in the sprite can help with taste and since you have to put water anyways, it’s 2in1! Haha

My parents are Filipino but I was born in Canada. I am still learning how to cook Filipino food but I think you can never go wrong with Adobo!
My parents are Filipino but I was born in Spain. Recently I moved to USA, I miss my mom's cooking so much that i decided to start making my own filipino food. Thank you so much for the recipe.
Squid Adobo (𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘵 in Tagalog), one of the several traditional native adobo dishes here in the Philippines (others are Pork Adobo, Chicken Adobo, Beef Adobo, Fish Adobo, 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨, 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘵𝘢𝘺, &c.), also tastes like heaven. You should try it, it's one of my favorite dishes here. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I will definitely try it tomorrow!! I love how short is the video but straight to the point!! 👏 👏
We made the chicken for dinner tonight. It was delicious! I only used 1 tspn black pepper and added one tspn of chicken bullion.
I made this for dinner just now, and it's delicious! 🤤

Thanks for the simple recipe. Just made this, came out delicious. 😋 Haven’t had adobo in years.
This looks amazing. Going to cook it today!
This is the one. Looks like a nice thick sauce. Making it tomorrow Tomorrow: ok, I made this for family and we all agreed on less vinegar. I would cut it by 20% to start. Also add 10% more brown sugar. But it was good 🙂

I don’t know which vinegar you used but in another recipe the host specified that often cane vinegar is used and that it is much milder than white vinegar.
@jonathonparks9518
Жыл бұрын
@@kaktusdesiberie7196 oh you can use apple cider vinegar as a perfect substitute. The recipe calls for a more milder tasting vinegar. If you have nothing else white vinegar will work. You just need to use more sugar to balance out the sourness of the white vinegar.
Thanks I will be making very soon, looks delicious!
This was very good. I marinated by chicken on the counter for about 30 min before cooking and it had a lot of flavor.
Thank you for your easy recipe. I made it oftens and its delicious!

I tried this recipe once. Today, i am here again as i will cook it again later. 😂😂😂
I just made using boneless chicken legs. This one is a 10! I served with risotto. She's right...you can't use a breast because it will dry out. The vinegar tenderizes the meat.
Great meal 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Omg.. how i didn't know before about this!! Cooking as soon as possible! 😍😍😍
Im making this for my birthday tmrw. Hope my family will love it as much as me 😂 i always add ginger tho. So good 🤭
Thank you so much for sharing this simple recipe 🥰 I cooked it tonight & it’s so flavourful which I loved. I used chicken breast on the bone, no brown sugar or green onion but still came out sweet, tangy & juicy 😍 thank you for teaching me how to cook have a lovely christmas 🎄

Yummy
i like it!
This is really good! Made it last night. What kind of salad is that? It looks good also.
I watched many adobo recipe, this is the most accurate. You should cook first the leftover marinade then the meat.
Oh I'm definitely making this. What side dishes do you recommend with this. I saw japanese squash and rice at the end but how were those prepared?
Iam Egyptian and i gonna try this !

Finally a filipino dish!
I'm going to try this :""")
I made this dish for my wife who is Filipino and cooks chicken adobo all the time. She said there are many things wrong with this recipe such as the simmer time is way too short and it needs a lot more sauce.
Yummy😊😊
So you just eat the peppercorns? Are they soft enough after simmering?
Any alternative for light soy sauce... Any suggestion would work

This looks amazing. I also looked at the url RecipeTinEats for the recipe. I didn't see the measurements for each ingredient. I mean do I use the force? LOL How much garlic, oil, everything??? I'm going to burn down the house!!!! Help me Obi Wan Kinobe! You're my only hope!
Can I use white sugar instead?
I doubled the recipe but kept the liquid at the same amount. Didn’t reduce properly. Should I cook it in 2 batches next time?
Looks like im making this tonight for the ADOBROS
how many cups for each condiments?
how can I make this with a lot of sauce please?? 💕
Can i try this with bone-in-thighs?
Sugar in the dish make me curious, gonna try this definitely.love from India
i make this all the time at university, so easy and fairly cheap since big packs of legs and thighs are way less costly than breasts
hummmmm
if there's no bay leaves what would be the substitute ingredient for it?
Adobe chickens the best
What kind of sugar is that? I don't think its regular sugar because it has a different texture
Does anybody know the exact measurements for the ingredients ?? Please help
