This dance is called singkil , been a part of 3 groups of local dance group the first one I was a dancer the last 2 I was the make up artist , only the best dancers are appointed to dance the singkil and tinikling , need constant practice into perfections , the princess is the best dancer of all , ty for this show …

Nakakamangha matignan ang sarili nating sayaw. Ito ay kayamanan natin na pilit palitan ng mga dayuhan noon pa man ngunit mapalad tayo hindi ito nasira ng mga dayuhang mga manlulupig ng bayan!! Mabuhay

Bamboo dance is not only in the Philippines, almost all southeast asian countries have this kind of dance. Don't be too overproud

This is one of the many Malay Maharlikan(pre colonial Philippines) culture of the Visayas and Mindanao Islands. Islam not not a culture, Islam is a religion.

This is sn interesting skill dance with dancers following the rhythm of the mudic whole not getting their feet caught in the bamboo poles. Tradition has it that only royalty can dance this Singkil.

I agree kahit di ako taga Mindanao, as I noticed sa ibang Singkil performance na napanood ko mejo stiff at nalilito pa yung lead dancer(princess) sa Hand Choreos nya. Di pa gaanong graceful kumbaga and yung ibang fan dancers are parang natataranta maybe because crowded sila masyado to share a 2 pair of bamboos or they just overthinking. I have no experience dancing Singkil but I tried Tinikling many times. Need lg tlaga mag relax and wag mag overthink na baka maipit when dancing with the bamboos. Still A for their efforts. 💕

Singkil Dance Tradition of Mindanao

If not of their beautiful costumes this performance is boring compared to others who excellently did this Sinkil. They are lack of emotions and the grace, the rest made mistakes. I’m sorry to express my opinion but this is because of my love to Sinkil, the Muslim wedding dance.

Bakit naman ang laki ng tiyan ng kinuhang dancer ng Prinsepe ?? Parang si Bentot ...

Everything was perfect except d music/sound. T sucks!

medyo magulo yung musical accompaniments, walang power at grace yung princess, yung steps medyo bland and uncoordinated. sayang. ganda pa naman ng costumes at props.
