Fiji Travel Vlog Day 2: Discover Nadi Tour / Malolo Cat to Musket Cove Resort - Malolo Island

Day 2 of our Fiji Holiday started with the Discover Nadi Tour. We were picked up from the Fiji Gateway Hotel by Travel Fiji bus.
Stops included: Viseisei Village, The Garden of the Sleeping Giant, Nadi Markets and the Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple. After the tour we caught a taxi back to the hotel to collect our bags, then a hire car to drop us off at Port Denarau to catch the Malolo Cat to Malalo Lailai (Little Malolo Island) for our accommodation at Musket Cove Resort.
Travel Tips: It is a good idea to carry small denomination Fijian money when you visit villages, so you can easily buy some of the handmade items for sale. Buying these items helps the villagers tremendously. We also brought small gifts (such as pencils and colouring-in books for the children.
It rains a lot in Fiji...suddenly. If you don't want to get wet, be prepared with an umbrella in your bag. If you get wet, you'll dry off quickly because it gets hot again quickly too.
This video is pretty long but it was a long day. We did so much in one day.
Thank you for watching.

Absolutely but we were going to spend money on something anyway. It was just a matter of deciding what.

Good video! My wife and I are looking at Musket Cove and this definitely helped. Any tips for us for when we're there? Any handy tip will be greatly appreciated

Hi Keith Musket Cove is definitely better suited to couples (than Plantation Island Resort). It is hot year-round. We took some warm clothes. Lol. Don't do that, you won't need them. But do take loads of T-shirts/Shirts to change into. You have a shower to wash off the heat and sweat and it feels nice to put on a fresh shirt but you'll be sweating again in no time. The ocean and pool are both warm, so showers are the only relief. make sure you take wide-brimmed hats and a few long sarongs/wraps for your wife. Wear boardshorts, Sunshirts and plenty of sunscreen snorkelling. My wife got really sunburnt on her backside and she couldn't go out in the sunlight for a few days. They only give you 1 bottle of water per person per day in your room. Water bottles cost something like $3 /litre from the shop. Guzzle it. My wife was dehydrated and passed out at dinner one night. Maybe grab some hydro lite powder at a supermarket on the mainland before going. Loads of the meals are coconut-based. Maybe take some Immodium with you. haha. Have a great holiday. It's a very relaxing holiday. The Island Bar and Restaurants have the most amazing sunsets we've ever seen. Bryn
