Fighting Men of Rhodesia ep258 | Op Amazon Part 1 | The Reconnaissance | Op Artist & Op Ginger

Heartfelt thanks to @LegacyConversations for this collaboration. They spoke to the men involved in Ops Artist and Ops Ginger where members of 4 Recce secretly scouted Lobito Harbour (Angola) with the eye on conducting a sabotage mission in the future (Ops Amazon). Then Jack Greeff HCS, the small team expert, landed with two other operators from 1 Recce to carry out a target reconnaissance ashore... All this was done by a navy submarine under the command of Steve du Toit who tells the story and his own reconnaissance via the periscope from the submarine's side. This is the first of three episodes in the Ops Amazon Series. If you have questions, leave them below. Subscribe and activate the bell to be informed of new episodes.

South African special forces seem like a joke now due to the lack of skills, skills lost after 94 when many professional operators quit and joined the private sector.

This mus be the biggest nonsense comment I ever read - they are as good as ever according to the former operators and commanders. The standards did not change. Koos
