Fig Trees in North Texas Face Arctic Blast

We are getting hit with an “Arctic Blast” with temperatures near the single digits (Fahrenheit).
We are trying a bit of an experiment using bubble wrap to protect the in ground fig trees and have moved our potted figs into our workshop.
We’ve also started many new varieties of fig cuttings, hoping that most will root and create new trees for us - from our friends at the Dallas Food Forest Project.

Just a quick video showing our figs during the Arctic Blast. If it’s not too much to ask, please consider giving this video a thumbs up. Thank you!

Hope your figs survive this freeze. I'm in mid-MO and have most of mine in big planters tucked safely away in the garage. However I still have nearly a dozen older trees in ground that I've covered with multi layers of Agribon-50. I don't know why, but I didn't even think about using bubble wrap, and I have rolls of the stuff.

I have one that’s been in the ground for about 15 years and it’s only been taken to the ground (by me) after suffering cold damage once… we’ve used bubble wrap on other plants and they’ve done well, so I’m hopeful…
