Texas Peach Fig 🍑
I've been enjoying these Texas peach figs so much and I just learned from a fellow fig grower that these figs get better tasting with every year that the tree matures. So I am really looking forward to the years that come. This tree was a great investment into my collection!

Ive never heard of this kind of fig. It looks beautiful and sweet. Something new to keep a lookout for. Did you do anything special to get it so big in the first year?

I have one of these. They produce a ton of fruits and yes, they taste just like peaches! The size ranges from half an inch in diameter to 2+ in diameter, and they're very round

I live in the finger lakes region of NY, should I bring mine in for winter? It's a Chicago Hardy.

I would still bring it in. But just to a garage or could room. 1 cup of water every month

Does it taste of peaches? Or does it have a slight peach taste to it?

I didn't quite taste peaches yet, that maybe due to the fact that the tree is so young. Apparently the flavor of this tree gets more intense as it ages!

I don't know much about it yet as it's the first year. I'll find out in about 6 weeks, when it starts to get cold here.

Yes, they're extremely hardy. I have one that's 6 years old and has spent every winter outside in Texas, they also tolerate heat very well
