Field Marshal Mannerheim | Speech to the Swedish Volunteers | Finnish Winter War 1940

Field Marshal Mannerheim's speech to the Swedish volunteers in the Winter War after the Moscow Peace Treaty in 1940. Around 15 thousand Swedes volunteered to fight the Soviet Union alongside Finland in the Winter War. In addition the Swedish state sent two billion crowns, 50 million rounds of small arms ammunition, 900 thousand small arms, three hundred field guns with 300 thousand shells, Three hundred seamines, five hundred depth charges, five hundred ground vehicles, and 26 aircraft. Sweden also provided uniforms and medicine and took care of Finnish war refugees. Many Swedish officers who volunteered to fight in the Winter War had already participated in the Finnish Civil War alongside the White Army and was highly decorated and experienced. Many Swedes volunteered again after the Winter War and helped Finland to fight the Soviets during the Continuation War.

It's important to remember that our history has often times been violent. Denmark and Sweden share the world record for the most wars between two sovereign nations, and Finland was subjugated by Sweden for a long time. That being said, for many years now we have shared common goals, including peace, justice and human rights. We have spent too much time fighting each other to allow ourselves to be subjugated by people who are a thousand years behind us...

Wow.!! I didn't realize that Sweden provided that much aid and manpower. Not only that but many of the volunteers fought in 3 separate Finnish wars: A civil war against communists, the Winter War against the Soviet invasion and the Second World War on the side of Germany. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't seem like much but Sweden itself is a country of only about ten million today and probably a lot less then. It would also be interesting to know how much Norway or Denmark supplied in the Winter War effort if anything. All of those countries must have known that if Finland fell they would be next inline to the Soviet juggernaut just like the Baltic countries of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Churchill's speech was a bunch of lies wrapped in a nice package. The people of England followed Mosley, they wanted to unite with Germany to crush communism once and for all. But the zionist shill crown tried to get rid of him and chose Churchill instead, to send young Brits to die and kill their German brethren The UK crown and the US government were puppets of zionists, and they helped the communists win and spread their disease around the world

Lol.

Powerful, just powerful.. I noticed in the English translations Linder was referred to as major general though Mannerheim called him general of cavarly. Was this only his rank in Finnish army and major general was his "real" rank in the Swedish army? Quick search on the internet showed him being promoted to liutenant general in 1938 and to general of cavarly in 1940, I assume sfter the winter war.
