Huge thank you for your super informative video on bed contruction! Following your clear advice / demos we, [complete novices] purchased appropriate equipment and made our bed today in our Ford Transit 17 seat minibus camper conversion. Really look forward to seeing more videos. Thank you. Can't add a pic but we are super pleased with the result.

I like the simplicity of this build. Is it L2 or L3? And do you invisage needing a support beam in the middle of the bed or is it plenty strong enough. Good on you, anyways

The bed is very strong. No need for additional support.

Hi mike I used self drilling bolts to fix my joists in the same position. Problem is some of the screws are ringing no matter how gently I tighten them up. What fixings did you use to secure the joists

Look forward to seeing more videos! Me and a mate are going to be kitting out/ adding to a UNIMOG off grid truck supplied by Akinson-vos. One thing that is stumping me is how are you planning on getting your Earth for the 240v? I get that if the Unimog is connected to a hookup at a campsite say via a 16A commando socket it would be earthed via that hookup. But this truck is designed to go off grid for 3-5 days. Using 240v 24v and 12 v and not all the existing appliances are Class 2 or relying on the client to only plug in class 2 equipment is a stretch. We were looking at a way for the user to pull out an flexible earth cable and hit a Earth rod into the ground but these are not reliable, I am currently looking through BS7671 18th edition. any advice would be great I am electrician, so no need to explain in laymen's terms Thank you

Think the good 12-240 inverters handle the earth issue in the internal circuitry

Hi Mike, do you know the measurement from the floor to the lowest part of the bed? Just trying to see if my bike would fit under before getting one of these vans thanks
