Italiansupercarvideo, 19Bozzy92 and I filmed a 1970 Fiat Abarth 1000 OT at the 24° Vernasca Silver Flag 2019, Dynamic Restoration and Conservation Concours for historic racing cars. The event traces the street of the antique hillclimb Castell'Arquato - Lugagnano - Vernasca.
In the video you can see the race car in action on the street: launch, acceleration, fly bys, curves and more. Also on board scenes. Listen to the pure sound of the engine, driven flatout.

The car is a Berlina Corsa version. Not many were made in the sixties because the OT was 85 kg heavier compared to the 1000 TC. This car was driven a long time in the FHR long distance races in Germany and has seen the Nurburgring Nordschleife more than 100 laps and has a lot of wins in its class.
It has a 982 cc engine in racing specs: 94 hp @ 8000 rpm, 4-speed hillclimb gearbox; weight 670 kg.

Io, Italiansupercarvideo e 19Bozzy92 abbiamo filmato questa Fiat Abarth 1000 OT (Omologata Turismo) alla 24° Vernasca Silver Flag 2019, concorso dinamico di restauro e conservazione per vetture storiche da competizione. L'evento è la rievocazione dell'antica cronoscalata Castell'Arquato - Lugagnano - Vernasca.
Nel video potete vedere l'auto in azione su strada: partenza, accelerazione, passaggi in velocità, curve e altro. Anche camera car. Ascoltate il sound del motore durante la salita.

L'auto è una versione Berlina Corsa. Non ne costruirono tante poichè la OT era più pesante di 85 kg della 1000 TC. Quest'auto è stata guidata a lungo in gare di durata FHR in Germania e ha totalizzato più di 100 giri al Nurburgring Nordschleife vincendo diverse volte nella sua classe.
Il motore è un 982 cc con specifiche da corsa: 94 cv a 8000 giri, cambio da cronoscalata 4 marce, peso 670 kg.

Lovely video. The joy of short wheelbase, low mass and 1000cc. The 850 is a wonderful car and this one looks and sounds perfect.

La carrozzeria della 850 Berlina anche se ha il Roll-bar interno è piu' leggera della carrozzeria 850 Sport.Coupe', di conseguenza ha un rapporto peso/ potenza migliore, anche se a qualcuno puo' non piacere, ma in queste gare in salita con tornanti è avvantaggiata rispetto alla Sport Coupe', a me personalmente in questa livrea sportiva piace.

Una grande 850. 1000cc? Quanti cv ha? Se non ricordo male il motore era simile alla 600/750. Da bambino ne giravano tante....poi l'altra 850 coupe.....

L' altra auto davanti alla 1000 OT Berlina, è una Fiat Abarth 1300 OT Coupe' 2° serie ( Carrozzeria della 850 Sport Coupe' dal 68' al 70') io avevo la versione Fiat Abarth 1000 OT Coupe' 2°serie del 1970, come la 1300 nel video.
Anche io ho la 850, la mia ha sotto il motore della 112 Abarth 75hp

That's the Abarth tuned version, based on the Fiat 850, there was the 1600 too and a few examples of 2000 cc
