Sober Oni and Drew actually analize the servant in a way that even the newest players can get a glimpse of what they really are, and how to make them shine

"Attendre et Esperer" well, we waited, and we hoped. And now, Dantes has become the force of nature he was always shown to be. Canonically in FGO, Dantes has always been in a league of his own, able to do many things that are normally impossible, and being among the only Servants capable of reaching Ritsuka in otherwise unreachable places or states. He is undoubtedly the strongest Avenger-class servant, to such an extent that even the Mage King couldn't fully control him (Dantes basically gave him the finger and said "here's a loophole to our contract, go fuck yourself.") So seeing him rise to become such an amazingly powerful all-arounder in the game makes me love him even more.

I'm free to play and to be honest I have been able to three turn farm since neros singularity cause I was lucky enough to get Waver and two not limit broken Kaleidescope. Seriously all this skadi hype is weird cause to be honestly waver is still my most used for farming servant. And eventually everyone can have a free waver.

@@lenleon3699 i disagree with Casteria power creeping Waver, true they're both walking 50% batteries casters, Waver still has the benefit of being able to make full use of his kit regardless of team comp whereas Artoria can't. Shes still versatile, no doubt. Buf she's not overtaking the Swiss army servant just yet. (Especially since everyone can have a pocket waver now) But she does make Jeanne completely irrelevant. Seriously, why is DW sleeping on the holy maiden? Give her a buff, or well, a *few* looking at her kit.

@@uperpie I guess Waver being in the general pool gives him it’s own usefulness since he will be available for all players unlike the other three limited casters. As for Jeanne, I think she is beyond saving by now. They’d have to redo her entire kit which they might as well just release a new version of Jeanne. Unless they are willing to change her entire kit with just one strenghtening quest.

I'd love a re-evaluation of the FSN servants that got recent buffs in JP (Artoria and Emiya most of all), plus maybe Arjuna and/or Fionn. Other than that I think we'll have to see how the meta shifts with the release of Castoria

2 long years off, but true Artoria is becoming very interesting able to turn all cards into buster, I also really like Archer able to choose the card type of his NP, finally arts teams can love him. Arjuna is a slight better farmer in longer fights but his NP is still just okay with "chance of death". Cumhail too, got a small battery but but its on his wonky evade, he's still nice for anything like the Archer Inferno challenge quest where aoe is needed. Castoria is interesting as she's able to reinforce evade skills, now the only thing that can break a defense is removing those buffs upfront like Abigail does. She does everything Merlin does harder but can't grant the whole party invulnerability, it's like somewhere between Merlin's and Waver's skills but also lacks Garden of Avalon to slowly charge back up or stack NP trickles and only heals the party rather than stall the opponent. But all these broken castors get paired up anyways along with Tamamo, game is busted if you want it to be and the next villain is gonna be a rider likely just to punish us.

@@Petrico94 Uhh no, Merlin and Skadi still beat Castoria in one catagory, face card damage and crits. Crits on their own have multipliers much stronger than most nps so even with castoria buffs she only enables farming. Merlin provides a decent amount of survivability along with being a good star generator and is the type of character whose power ramps up over time despite his buffs having strong immediate effect, and Skadi's total crit damage buffs still puts most quick and buster type servants above arts at boss killing.

@@deathstar6998 crit by itself only has X2 multiplier while np has at least 300%. Merlin and skadi quick crit is busted because they has 100% crit damage up (that easily translate to x4 damage) and with two of them it might go higher. about damage race, I think we need to see it first. Even in NA, art still able to keep up to certain degree with tamamo help. Art potential are surely rise with castoria. And while art are surely lost at burst damage, please don't forget that break bar exist. so consistent damage can be more preferable than 1 turn burst (Merlin) or specific colour burst (skadi)

I remember back in 2018 when everyone around me called him shit and praised Jalter in high heavens. I was lucky enough to get him back then, maxed him and event grailed him. Time skip 2020, Brovenger nukes anyone even his old haters and he's one of my first gold Fou servant. What a great year to be a Dantès fan. I believed he will shine even before Skadi came in JP. Now he deserves it. Also he's still reliable just cause Caster Artoria is in the mix now. Merlin still exist. Skadi still exist. Tamamo still exists. Certainly Waver still exists. People have different farming methods so I believe just cause Castoria is now available in JP and 2 years from now on NA, should people drop their Quick or Arts looping teams now for her.

As a F2P player, I was really scared when Dantes spooked me on the gatcha, knowing that I don't have Skadi nor the NP level to 3 turn farm everything, but watching this video made me feel a bit grateful of my bad luck.

I was hoping you'd be able to re-evalute him at some point! Easily my favorite Servant in FGO, and I'm happy that circumstances have helped make him one of the more-appreciated Servants in the current meta. Here's to hoping that more people and get him, and that his eventual appearance in the anime adaptation of Time Temple Salomon lives up to the hype! :D

Very nice work on the re-evaluation! I'd love to see a redo of OG Arturia's spotlight. She was, after all, the very first spotlight and has received a nice pair of buffs to really elevate her game now.

I like how he also acknowledges the new Arts Meta. In 2 Years, Berserker Vlad, among others, will be reevaluated for the Arts Meta.

I've had him since release and grained him and 10/10/10'd him soon after I got him. I always thought he was really undersold due to his ability to snowball (though I pretty much shackled him to SDE for that) and had a lot of potential. All that waiting and hoping paid off, and now he sits laughing on his throne. Good to see him getting the love he deserves.

Dante's was my first 5 star on his original release and I love that he is finally getting his chance to shine to the fullest.

While he may not be the new hotness on the block given all the recent buffs and rise of the Arts meta, I'd still love to see you go back and re-evaluate Iskandar. Mostly cause he's my personal fave and I'd like to see that. His ability to deal damage while also being a strong pseudo support on the side with his high-uptime buffs is VERY nice imo

They locked him away only for him to break out richer and stronger seeking revenge on everyone who wronged him. Don't think we can properly link it to Norse myth but it's good to see him get buffed even if it's just the farming plow for Skadi's dumb exploits. I do like Dante is more relevant, his neutral damage and high hits let him push through farming very well and they buffed his NP to be worth something. I just hate how Skadi is the main reason quick is relevant and why you might push to NP3 Dante.

you somewhat mentioned same thing which i made use of the most in the summer 3 event, i may not have got skadi, but ishtar rider helped me out a lot, the turns may increase i.e able to do approx. in 6-8 turns, dantes can perform well to some extent, but again, his survivability is a hurdle, i used him once on a saber node free quest he got yeeted in the second round of the battle (it was somewhat my fault too because my set didnt had any quick sabers) dantes is a good avenger but could seem really dependant on skadi system the most thats what i think, i may try to get him next year as my luck wasnt that good this time

I'd love for a update review on Tamamo-no-Mae, and vlad berserker if possible.

Farming summer event right now with Dantes and it's such a blessing! So easy to do and very consistent even for 2nd wave with 90-100k hp mob where I need either a Dantes card (which will crit because max stars) or use Skadi defense down and then one shot the 3rd wave with Dantes first skill and mystic code atk buff to still get 3 turn. Very happy with Dantes now!

Cant wait for Summer Musashi Re-Evaluation 2 years from now.

Definitely glad I got em. Now I just gotta wait for the next Download event to level him. Would definitely like to see a reevaluation for Vlad III! That NP8 spookmaster is finally going to pay me back in dividends when Castoria drops XD When she does I'll definitely grail that bloodsucker.

Looking forward to Vlad the Chad ascending to his rightful place and then Fionn being an actual contender for top top tier. Hearing someone talk about Vlad in a positive light is what I have been waiting for ever since I started playing.

Honestly now that Artoria caster is a thing I don’t think going for Skadi second banner is as recommended (they are only a few months apart), it’s better to save up that quartz and go for Castoria which is completely broken in Cq and farming.

@@dellee4793 Not the only but the best, Alex, rider ishtar, rider salter and wu assassin all help quick teams a lot its just that skadi's buffs are slightly stronger.

There is one important caveat here that you kinda glossed over/I'm not sure if you're actually aware. Dantes is one of the few so-called "stable" loopers. This means that in the right setup (which for him is as simple as double Skadi and his own Golden Rule maxed), he will *always* refund the needed 50% gauge as long as the wave has 3 enemies, without needing any overkill. As such, your only issue with Dantes will be whether he can actually kill the wave. And this entirely depends on the quest you're running; I really really dislike it when people make blanket statements like "this servant needs NP level X to loop", because most of the time it's factually wrong and misleading to state such a thing. As an example, if you only use the non-LB kaleidoscope Dantes/Skadi/Skadi/Mage Association Mystic Code setup, Dantes will need *NP5* to farm the upcoming Gilfest because the damage of that setup is too low to kill the third wave otherwise. If you have an MLB Kscope or a Waver to plugsuit in, however, you can actually pull it off with an NP1 Dantes, or even Helena/Merlin becomes sufficient if you don't mind needing a single Dantes card to finish off the remaining enemy on the third wave. Tl;DR: NP level is unrelated to whether a servant can loop consistently. It matters for having the damage output to reliably kill enemies in a specific quest, tho, and as such the minimum NP level varies considerably based on what quest you are running and what other tools you can bring to increase the output. Please avoid misleading blanket statements like "Dantes needs a high NP level to loop consistently". The Skadi system is complicated enough as is and I see so much misinformation about it being spread in the community.

If I have an NP1 Dantes and an NP4 Lancelot, is it worth investing into Dantes? I farm with Zerkerlot nearly constantly, and so far his damage has been good enough with my MLB scope and MA Mystic Code.

@@Lancun If you mean "investing" as in "level and upgrade skills", then yes because you should so that for every single one of your gold servants anyway. If you mean "rolling for higher NP levels", then no, because NP4 Lancelot massively outperforms NP1 Dantes in terms of damage, so as long as you can manage to make your Lancelot loop he'll usually be better than your Dantes. Also worth noting that since you have an MLB Kscope, Fragments of 2004 is the better Mystic Code to use for Lancelot over MA, since it has an NP gain skill to make him refund the needed 50% a second time (for the other time his S3 covers the refund), and a massive 50% NP damage up for the third wave as well, unlike MA which offers no damage buff.

I get your point with blanket statements, but unfortunately I need to give a general guideline. And generally speaking NP2 or 3 is the safest bet, of course it all comes down to individual circumstance (for example I can loop with NP1 on some maps like in this video). But it's too specific of a circumstance to lay out in one video, and if I don't mention an NP level then there will be 1000 comments asking me what NP level Dantes should be lol. So while I agree that saying "you need NP3" is a blanket statement, it is nonetheless the safest metric to give to someone without knowing their personal circumstances

One thing I might like is reevaluated and updated CE's and some comps for older servants as a whole. Also it does seem odd how so far how quick card CE's are the hardest to get.

I think all the servants that recently got buffed in JP for 5th anniversary deserve a reevaluation (except for Yu since she isn't out yet, and Darius since you haven't even evaluated him), that is, if it's not too much trouble. Maybe you can do the FSN servants in a single video like you did with Raikou, Arthur, Osakabehime and Wu. I really enjoyed that one.

This event period has had the gacha gods smile upon me. I got Summer BB, NP 2 Osakabehime, NP 2 Foreigner XX and Dantes!

I max bonded and grailed him before Skadi was ever released despite feeling really weak since he's my favorite character. Imagine my happiness to see him receive buffs and quick meta being a new thing.

Dam our boi really moved up in the world didnt he, so glad i rolled him for gssr, right after i rolled for skadi mind you, perfect.

Accidently got Dantes when I was rolling for Caster Gil and got em both somehow. He was basically shelved at Lvl 50 for a looong time because of his low damage at that level then holy shit I learned how to use Skadi. One of the best accidents ever

I threw in a random 10-roll after I got a huge bump in luck in getting all of the new summer servants (except Ushi) after spending nearly all of my quartz fruitlessly before and my luck got another huge boost; got 2 Dantes on one roll!

Well now im happy gotten him at the gssr (i dont own skadi qmq) thx for the Video

Merlin, Waver, Dantes with BG works extremely well too, throwing an NP every other turn and critting every turn while staying healthy with relatively low risk. This comp snowballs hard with defense down and buffed up curse stacking from Waver and Dantes while Merlin keeps the engine going with his own NP and the clutch invincibility.

I think you gonna have to do it again with Arthoria in the future... lets hope a third buff on her Charisma to be one like Merlin's hahaha

50/50 gonna be tempted to roll for him since I have a Skadi... but because of some certain Servants and CEs are needed to make him MORE optimal. But I think I'll wait and hope for the next GSSR and hope to get him

I play NA and he has already spooked me twice, each on his first 2 banners. And ive been using this lovable edgy count since then even before i knew skadi existed. Heck, he's already bond10 even b4 skadi got released in NA. Thats why he'll get the bond grails becuz i rly love him and he deserves it (also so bond points from farming with DSS wont be wasted)

Was lucky enough to get Dantès NP2 from the GSSR earlier this year AND got Skadi from her debut. EX Luck I guess. Completed the event yesterday and got the costume as well, if it wasn't obvious by the pfp that he's my favorite servant.

I spent all my quartz this summer to get np3 Dante, it was worth it, farming is much better now.

Thanks to you I’ve become a mini investor in my account I managed to np2 ibaraki lancer and caster hill and I pulled Altria if that’s how you spell it and I pulled this servant your reviewing thank you for inspiring me

A few years ago, I rolled Dantes on JP in the GSSR before Skadi came out and I remember thinking I wouldn't use him at all. A few years and a Skadi later and he's got a summer outfit and is only my only 10/10/10.

I guess I'll wish he was NP2 or 3 soon enough, but as NP1 he's already helping me 3T and 4T a lot of the quests in this ServaFest. Thanks to double skadi. Dantes is suddenly one of my strongest servants, right up there with Melt.

I suddenly got him as I was trying to fall asleep and now I'm here watching a guide at 1am XD

Really what Dante’s need is high investment in skadi or any quick buff over a long time. With a level six skills for her quick buff and np charge you should loop on anything when his np gain buff is active. Issues are berserkers and only two team enemies. Alongside buff removers.

Np one is fine till around Salem. Then it starts getting difficult to loop.

Straight up sat on a Lvl 1 NP2 Dantes for like a year and a half.... I upgraded him real *quick* when I got Skadi.

Splurged my extra income for an NP3 Dantes and holy shit its so good

I'm aiming for that next year hope I can get up-to np3 but failed to scout 135sq and 31 tickets after I started to earn in August banner which makes me feel salty.Wait and hope be sure to get him soon.😁

I don't have kscope, but if there's a 100k hp midboss on turn 2, you can put a 50% charge CE on dantes, and bring the Mystic Code with 20% charge and the card shuffle. Skadi gives Dantes the extra 50, and the first turn. 3 enemies will always give 50+. Skadi +50 second turn, Np, then quick crit face card the midboss. This gives you around 80, which is enough for the mystic code to help you on the final turn. If you get a crit on the quick card turn 2, 3rd turn np is basically guarenteed. I've done the Np Buster Arts chain with my np 2 Dantes, but unless you're fighting casters or riders, you don't get 80. The Np Buster Arts was against lancers. Yeah it's a bit rng, but thanks to the card shuffle, I've been able to farm pretty easily without too many mistakes.

Dantes Is easilly top tier in NA right now even if you don't have Skaddi, and I know it cause I have the Edgy boy at np 2

The reason I got to FGO (NA only) was because of Dantès. Hardly got him when he arrived and he's been saving my sorry ass ever since then:")

Kuhahaha! What a good reevaluation oni!, yeah he deserve this for how much the game have change and hell Dantes had help me so much since i summon him 2 year ago!, the last time he was such a badass was when he erase Apocrypha Event CQ XD
